Writing prompt: "We want you to imagine that something goes wrong on board a cruise ship. It can be cruising absolutely anywhere on earth you like: the Fjords of Norway, the Caribbean or the Mediterranean for example.The important thing to remember is that it experiences some kind of difficulty. Whatever the reason for difficulty might be, the cruise ship ends up floating off the coast of Pangaea, the last supercontinent, with its engine dead. What could have caused this to happen? Before I start: I just wanted to say Grün's means alien's which is German for green because I don't think they'd call themselves alien's. Also, I spelled school like skool and cruise like Cruz on purpose because they're alien's.. but luckily they can speak and read English.

"Ha-ha that's a great joke mom." said Marshal from planet Mars.
The night before, Oksli mentioned they were going on a Cruz from the Hoodrel North to the Edulgarb East but Marshal didn't believe her. He had always wanted to go on a Cruz. It seemed fun to explore the world but, he didn't believe a lot of things his mom said; it's just a tradition Grün's have. So, the next day Marshal woke up on this bright and sunny Thursday morning. He had skool today, so he got ready, ate some breakfast, and got on the bus; just like usual. When he got to skool, he said hi to his friends then went to class. Then for some odd reason, he heard his name called; which meant he had to go down to the principal's office. He thought, this is strange, this never happens, I wonder why it happened today. When he got there, he saw his dad, and the office told him that he had to go home for the day.
So, when they walked out of skool Marshal asked Tabir, "Father, why did you pick me up so early from skool today?"
Tabir replied with, "Didn't your mom tell you, we're going on a Cruz today!"
Marshal was surprised, his mom was actually right for once! So as soon as he got home he started packed his bags, he was so excited, plus he didn't have skool on Friday- it's a win, win. Marshal's parents had decided to leave tonight because it was only 15 minutes away from here and the boarding time is Thursday 16, 3017 at 9:15 pm, it's a 2-day long Cruz and the Grün running it- the captain, planned it this way so us Grün's can see all the sights. When Marshal was finished, they all got in the automobile and started driving to Hoodrel North- where the Cruz started.
When they arrived, they got there a little bit early, but that's good because now Marshal can buy snacks, and that was just what he did. It was a little darker now than this morning, but the weather was still very nice. They got their tickets and boarded the Cruz ship. As soon as their sandals touched the ship deck, Marshal felt free. He sat down in a real comfy chair and waited for the ship to part.
After 5 minutes, the captain called, "ALL ABOARD." Then, he made sure everyone who was meant to be on the Cruz ship was on, then we finally sailed away.
"Goodbye Hoodrel North." said Marshal, as he stood up and looked out the window. They were on their way! When Marshal sat back down, he noticed that a book had appeared out of nowhere!? He thought, I could have sworn this book wasn't here before. Oh well, since it's here I guess I'll just have to read it.
"Once upon a time, there lived a frog," he read "but the frog was not really as he seemed." However, when Marshal turned the page...well there was no page to turn, but magic sparks did fly everywhere. That was the weirdest thing ever, he thought. I wonder what it means. Next, he decided to look out the window, and even though it was dark...he could definitely tell there was a change in the weather. Marshal decided to go to find his mom, she said she would be in the Jacuzzi, but when he looked there...she wasn't there. In fact, no one seemed to be on the Cruz ship anymore, it was completely silent!
"Hello? Is anyone here?" Marshal yelled. Then, he heard a strange voice whisper 'over here!' So, he followed the voice which led him to the cavern, where you can feel all the breezes the weather brings. It's not good when there is a lot of wind, which is how the weather is right now.
"Is anyone sailing this thing?!" asked Marshal, but nobody responded... he was all alone, until BANGGGG!!! CRASH!!! BOOM!!!
"AHH! WHAT WAS THAT!?" Marshal was scared for his life. Then he remembered when the magic sparks stirred around him after he read that book. Finally, the ship reached land, there were many birds everywhere, and Marshal had never been to Edulgarb East. However, he could tell this was not the right destination. When the ship came to a sudden halt, he jumped off, not knowing where he was, he decided to investigate. He walked around town trying to find someone, but there was no one.
He did hear someone scream when he got off, "ALIEN RUNNNN!!!!" But, he had no idea what that meant, he didn't even know who it was aimed at, he was a Grün so he thought he didn't have to worry.
"I don't think I'm on planet Mars anymore." said Marshal.
Then, a little creature came up to him and asked, "Who are you?"
He replied with, "Why, I'm Marshal, can you tell me where I am because I seem to be lost."
"You're on the California Coast in North America."
"And... What's the date?" Said Marshal now frightened.
"Today is March 30, 2017."
"Oh, dear i have no idea how I got to here but I need to get home to my family."
"Aliens have family's?"
"I'm not an alien, I don't know where you got that from, you're more like an alien to me, I am a Grün, and I live on Mars in the year 3017."
"Oh, how did you get here?"
"I just told you I don't know!"
"Hey Alien, don't speak to my little boy like that!" said the mom of the little boy angrily.
"Sorry, he annoyed me, and please don't call me alien, I'm a Grün. I'm just trying to get back to my home planet Mars."
"Oh, well, I'm sorry for being rude, I'm Mary, and how did you get here may I ask?"
Marshal calmed down a little bit and answered, "I'm not sure but I was sailing on my Cruz ship, with lots of other Grün's. I picked up this frog book and magic happened, then everyone disappeared. That's when I landed here."
"Oh, I'm sorry your family must be worried sick, do you think you can get back home the way you came?"
Marshal went over to the ship, and gave it a big sniff. "It smells like the engine's dead." he said.
"Oh, I'm sorry I don't know anyone who can fix a broken ship engine but, you did mention a frog book, didn't you?"
"Yes."
"And what did it say?" Mary asked.
"It said something like: once upon time there was a frog but he wasn't as he seemed, but when I turned the page... well I-I couldn't."
"Oh, I think I know your problem."
"Really!? So, you can help me?"
"Yes, but you'll need a disguise because I'm going to have to take you around town."
"I'll do whatever it takes," said Marshal determined to get back to his family safe and sound. Hopefully they won't notice I was gone, he thought.
"Ok, wait right here for a second, I'll be back," and Mary, just like that went off into the strange shop central where she went to go look for a disguise. After a few minutes, she came back. Marshal put the disguise on and they went off into the town again. This time, they went into a very crowded area full of people, but after they got past it all, it was much more quiet. All of a sudden, Mary came to a halt, and there stood right in front of Marshal's eyes, was a building with pointy tops. He had never seen anything like it.
"It's beautiful," exclaimed Marshal, "but what is it?"
"Why, it's the frog prince's castle, and you my friend are in Disneyland." replied Mary.
"Ohhh, wait, so how is this going to help me get home?"
"All you have to do is walk inside, and the magic will do the rest as everything is not what it seems."
"Ok, I'll do whatever you say." So, Marshal walked towards the 'castle,' leaving Mary, the little boy, the California coast, and North America behind. He walked through its doors. It seemed just like an ordinary house. He sniffed the air, and he knew for a fact that wasn't ordinary. He thought, why isn't this working? Did Mary lie to me? Then, Marshal got a little tired of standing, so he leaned against a wall. BAM!!! Magic Sparks flew everywhere, in fact they were the same sparks that got him there in the first place. When he looked around at his surroundings, he realized he was still on the Cruz ship, and everyone else was there too!
As soon as Marshal turned around he heard a soothing voice from his mom saying, "Hey, let's go get something to eat for dinner."
Marshal, glad to be back on the Cruz ship, on his own planet, in his own year said, "Ok mom."
So, he met up with the rest of his family and ate some delicious Grün food peacefully.
Then, his mom asked "So, how was your nap?"
The only thing Marshal could do was smile knowing it was only a dream.
