The pain is shooting through my body. Pulsing, burning as I run barefoot through the dark forest. I am holding my side, it has a large gash running down my torso. I am breathing rapidly, gasping for air as I run until I trip on something. I lose my balance and my body collide with the ground. The air is knocked out of my lungs. I begin to cough as the air returns to me. I sit up slowly, still dazed. All I hear is my heartbeat, my head is pounding, everything else is drowned out. Then the reason I am running comes back to me. I turn and see that "thing" that is chasing me getting closer by the second. The sound of its feet hitting the ground as it runs, the occasional snarl or growl. I use all of my strength to push myself off the ground and continue running. I just keep running. My mind is blank except for one thought, RUN. Fear is beginning to take over. I stop abruptly and lean on a tree. I feel lightheaded like I am going to pass out. I am beginning to lose hope until my wandering- half shut eyes land on the sight of a road. I begin to run towards the black asphalt. I cross the two lanes and stop on the other side of the road. Gasping for air, still holding my side as sweat trickles down my face. I turn around and catch my first real glance at the thing chasing me--it's almost pitch black skinny body, its razor sharp claws, one hand covered in my blood from the cut on my side, its blood red eyes. It begins to run at me, as it begins to run onto the road a car rams into the creature. I just stand there in shock, my eyes wide. I drop to my knees as tears of joy and relief fall from my eyes. My whole body aches out of pain but I don't care. I am just so happy, but suddenly I feel heavy breaths on the back of my neck. It sends shivers down my spine. I slowly turn around, and my eyes widen as I see the creature I just witnessed getting hit by a car towering over me. Its blood red eyes stare into my soul. It lifts up its right arm and cuts my stomach. Abrupt pain is sent through my body. I scream out of absolute agony. And that's when it hits me, I am going to die here tonight. But despite my thoughts I attempt to get up but fall to the ground clutching my bleeding stomach. Then I feel a large hand on my neck. This thing has grabbed my neck and began to squeeze. Hard. I cough and gag, flailing my arms and legs around try to escape its tight grasp. I weakly punch the thing that is slowly and painfully killing me. My arms fall to the ground as wimpers escape my mouth. My vision becomes blurry and tears run down my face. Then the world fades to black.

I don't really know why I wrote this but I thought it was pretty good so I decided to put it on Wattpad. I hope u enjoyed it! Sorry, it's kinda dark. Bai
