And in the end all that matters is that you cared.

You cared enough to communicate your thoughts, your feelings,

and for me that is the biggest gift someone has ever given me.

The idea of time apart is unsettling, 

my mind races with all the reasons this is happening.

How could something so sure crumble,

how could it disintegrate into nothingness in the blink of an eye.

Then you gave me hope,

hope that our spark is still there.

Hope that when the storm passes we can be strong.

Your words don't speak goodbye, they say see you soon.

Whether this is the reality is unknown but what I do know is this:

I loved you then and I love you now,

You make my heart sing, 

you make my soul fly,

you are worth ever single tear that I cry.

We're meant to be together, soon you will see

our future is one made of you and me.

So until that day comes I will patiently wait.

I'm sure you will be mad or maybe even enraged.

For some special reason you think I need more

But the reality is that you are everything i thought I needed and so much more.

No other can compare and I wouldn't even try to.

You are on a whole other level for my heart.

Though this is painful and confusing for me,

I will wait here for you and hope that your words were what you meant.

I hope you come back when things are less crazy,

but just know this you didn't have to leave in the first place.
