Her home a pond

A deep dark blue

The only place

She ever knew  

A saddened prince

He loves to dance

His toes make circles

On the lake’s edge

  Only a duck

Merely just a bird

To get off the water

To be the prince’s world

  A creepy old man

Supposedly dead

Tells her a story

On the water’s edge

  A girl wakes up

It was all just a dream

Where she was a duck

Floating on the water’s face

  Not a duck

She’s just a girl

And loves to dance

Water isn’t her world

   A handsome boy

He was the prince

Inside her dream

Where he danced through the mist

  A cruel boy controls the prince

A spiteful stare

His eyes, a clouded pool

She doesn’t think he cares

  A little bird Falls from its nest

The prince dives out a window

To keep it from sudden death

  She wants to save him

But what can she do

She finds her true self

And becomes Princess Tutu

  Water is the key

To her human form

Just one drop

She becomes a girl

  Out of the story

The boy chased the raven

The boy was a prince

He had to find the demon

  Sealed him away

By taking out his heart

His feelings swept away

Like feathers on a rivulet

   A beautiful girl

A tearful love

Majestically dancing

The prince she’s always loved

  His heart was shattered

And scattered like rain

Now she will restore it

His feelings he must regain

  The beautiful girl

She’s losing the prince

To a duck on the water

Who calls herself a princess

  A crow she becomes

To steal him away

Across a blackened sea

Tutu won’t get in the way

  The cruel boy

A hidden past

He cares so much

Tears he now sheds

  A secret reviled

The cruel boy knows

That when she touches liquid

She then becomes a girl  

Fated to never

Be with the prince

Tears she will shed

When she realizes this

    A battle now rages

The war has begun

The prince needs help

From the ones that he loves

  The cruel boy

That was a knight

Found his power

So he can now write

  Together they stand

The princess and the writer

To help the prince

As it rains down blood  

The prince now wants

To take the weeping crow

The girl who loves him

And make her his world

  Just a few characters

A story inside a town

Where fiction and reality

Are all mixed around
