She wishes to expand her knowledge and skills to present herself as strong candidate for others. She doesn't look up to anyone below her grade level and standings. She doesn't believe anyone below her is good enough. This belief comes from her status as she was taught that no one in a company in Olympus would not achieve much in life. She pushes others away, because she's always alone and doesn't trust others so well. After her parents' death, she was happy that her uncle took her in. Her uncle is her source of strength and support. He is the only one who truly understands how lonely and hard working she is. She is mainly serious and no nonsense. She doesn't take kindly to those who take a situation too lightly or are too panicked. She wants to solve the issue quickly and without hesitation. She doesn't want to be delayed either. She always wants to be on time. She is very picky about details. If anything is off, she will find the error and fix it. She will also review it and ensure there is nothing else wrong with it. Sometimes if the details are not perfect, she will work until it is perfect. This can be a problem since she will not take breaks until it is fixed. She finds peace in her incense and perfumes as well as shopping for clothes and jewelry. Since she didn't have enough money growing up, she treasures these and will wear the best outfits for herself and She loves poets and writers of old. She enjoys reading in silence and doesn't want to be disturbed if she is reading something interesting to her. She loves to be lost in a good fantasy with interesting characters and themes.
Backstory:
Her parents were killed in an accident in Olympus, thus leaving her as an orphan had it not been for her uncle who took her in. He did all that he could to raise her with everything he had. She was always thankful for his uncle and works hard herself to replay him and make their lives easier. She was envious of her fellow classmates on Olympus that would flaunt their new outfits, accessories, and anything new. It made her feel poor and pathetic compared to them. She was envious of how they could buy anything they want without a care. She decides to have a life for herself and with enough of money for herself to buy anything she wants. She doesn't want to ever feel poor and pathetic again. This is why she studies and practices violin as much as she can. When she does receive the letter to attend Royal Sword, she is elated and proud of herself. It proved that her hard work does indeed pay off. She and her uncle are in joy to also discover she entered without having to pay for tuition and was accepted for her violin playing and high educational score. Despite her drive to have a better life, she also yearns for someone to share this with. Someone who would understand the frustrations and love her for who she is, not because of status and money. She is talented in plant magic, but she was also compared to Pina who was naturally better at her at the subject. She is overshadowed by others when she has skills herself. She frustrated by others who are naturally excel at areas she has interest in. If someone were to truly understand her, she would allow them to read her poetry and understand her secret passion for wanting to be a poet and just having a life for content. She wants to make sure her life is safe and secure as she saves some time for her passion of poetry.
Relationships:
Proserpina:
Even though Mentha holds Miss Ver in high regard, she doesn't see Proserpina in the same light. This is mainly because of everyone always comparing them. Although Proserpina wasn't aware until later, this made Mentha furious. Especially since Proserpina didn't have to work so hard with her magic compared to her. What also frustrated Mentha was Proserpina didn't have to work hard since she would also inherit her mother's company. She was furious that Proserpina wasn't aware of how lucky she was and didn't put in much effort to pursuing courses that would benefit her in the long run. Mentha doesn't believe Proserpina could handle the company by herself but she wants Proserpina to admit that to her. Proserpina has a tense yet respecting relationship with Mentha in turn. Proserpina is aware of how talented and hard working Mentha is and wishes to be like her in that regard. She views Mentha as someone she should've been but isn't. She can be hard working, but she cannot understand business classes as well as Mentha and Idia which saddens her deeply. She also knows Mentha is a beauty and talented in magic as well. She wishes to be as good as her. Despite this, she also knows Mentha closes herself off and has a one sided mind to her ideals. She is fine with Mentha's view, but Proserpina doesn't agree with her hurting others because of it. If one where to conclude their relationship, it would be complicated and hard-working. While Proserpina does her best and excels classes and magic, she has troubles with the business aspects of it, so Mentha has to help her make sense of it. Mentha helps Proserpina with understanding subjects she doesn't quite comprehend, much to Mentha's annoyance. As for Proserpina, she helps Mentha to take breaks and enjoy her passions. She doesn't want Mentha to be consumed with her ideal life that she misses out on other stuff. Proserpina later discovers Mentha doesn't view her as a friend. She understands this, but she still tries to be nice to her, regardless. Although, Proserpina isn't pleased with Mentha for hurting her and for going after Idia. Proserpina knows she and Mentha may not be friends, but she will still be there for her senior. Though, later in life, both have warmed to each other and worked together to run the company together. If Idia is involve, Mentha will do everything to woo him while Proserpina will fight, she does question if she is good enough to be with Idia. She knows Mentha is better than her and could help run his company better as well. Mentha will do everything to show herself off to Idia. Since both have an interest in the heir, they do not hesitate to be the best versions of themselves to him. After Idia choses Proserpina, Mentha sulks and struggles with this more than she lets on. It takes time, but she does respect Idia's choice and moves on. Maybe one day she will find a person to love again. Although Mentha and her have trouble seeing eye-to-eye, neither would ever put the other in any kind of life threatening danger. Mentha knows how much Proserpina means to her mother and Idia, so Mentha will ensure nothing will ever harm Proserpina. Later on, the two of them are a force of nature to be reckon with. As for Proserpina, she doesn't want anything terrible to happen to her and her effort. Proserpina will even stand up for Mentha too and ensure her effort doesn't go to waste at all.
Idia:
While Idia only views her as an associate and somewhat ally of Proserpina, Mentha does have a small, one-sided crush on him and also respects him. She views Idia highly and relates to his feeling of loss. As a result, she believes they would make a wonderful pairing. She also knows how hard he works as well. She is even impressed with how he is able to work remote and doesn't need others in his life to continue his work. She yearns to be as smart as him and even match him in his studies. She hopes Idia would return her feelings one day, but she sees herself as another rival to Proserpina in this area as well. As much as Idia doesn't return her romantic feelings, Idia doesn't count Mentha out. He knows how talented and strong she is. He knows Mentha works just as hard as they do, if not, more so. Since Mentha is dedicated to her ideal life, she will pursue without hesitation. This does terrifying Idia since he does relate to her in a sense of having an idea life, but not with the companies. Idia also knows her passions for poems and violin playing since she "conveniently" practiced whenever he was around. He understands her passions for pursuing something for enjoyment, but he would enjoy it and not just focus on his ideal life. Although he wasn't ok with her trying to take out his friends and hurt Proserpina, he doesn't hesitate to stand against her and reject her feelings since he doesn't feel the same for her. He knows Mentha is strong and can handle herself, but he doesn't condone the fact that Mentha is the one who harmed Proserpina and nearly made her believe he didn't return his feelings. He also wasn't ok with Mentha doing everything she can to have her ideal life, going so far to hurt his little brother and his friends. He doesn't believe anyone should be hurt in order to live a life they believe they deserve. He doesn't want anyone to get hurt nor ruin their lives, speaking from his personal experience and trying to help Rollo with this as well. After the Overblot and her apology, both are simply associates again. Though, Mentha's crush hasn't completely faded but will in time. Mentha still has longing looks and notices how much Idia loves Proserpina. Even so, both do rely on each other when it comes to helping the Vers and ensuring nothing else befalls them. If both are paired together, they are quick, precise, and strong with their magic. It is also worth noting that their relationship improves in the future where both are good friends even after Idia is married to Proserpina.
Ortho:
Despite the two rarely interacting, Mentha doesn't hold Ortho in high regard. This is mainly because Ortho can excel at anything and everything without even trying. She isn't pleased that he can do anything and receive the praise for it when she couldn't receive praise for her takes that actually require effort. As for Ortho, he doesn't mean to be who he is and tries to be friendly with her for the sake of the companies, his big brother, and Proserpina. He does understand her drive of wanting a life for herself since he wanted to be a student and live his life. Perhaps if Ortho had a chance to explain this, Mentha wouldn't be as lonely as she believes to be.
Mater Terram Ver:
Mentha has an immense respect for Miss Ver. Mentha is impressed at Miss Ver for raising her daughter, managing her company, and keeping up appearances with everyone. Mentha wishes to learn more from her and be as confident and skillful as her. It is no secret that Mentha looks up to Miss Ver and admires her. Miss Ver holds Mentha in high regard and hopes her daughter will realize that Mentha would be helpful with running their company. Miss Ver is aware of Mentha's talents besides business. She knows Mentha loves the arts and hopes Mentha continues her passions as well. There is more to life than just business, a lesson she hopes Mentha and her daughter will learn. Both work very well together and do listen to each other. Whenever Mentha makes an error or doesn't understand the subject. Miss Ver doesn't mind explaining to her how to solve the problem. Mentha is grateful for this relationship and advice. As for Mentha, she does her best to not let Miss Ver down and even works with her daughter to ensure her company. Mentha even worked with Idia, Proserpina, and the others when Miss Ver Overblots and worries over her mentor afterwards.
Her Uncle:
She loves her uncle dearly, but he is always busy providing for her and himself. He also keeps his distance from her, because he wants her to learn how to provide for herself and rely on no one but herself. She respects and admires her uncle for taking her in despite his financial status and current status. She hopes to repay him for his kindness, lessons, and love. Despite the distance, there is nothing they wouldn't do for each other. He would put in extra hours to ensure she received the best equipment, food, and school. He will not give up and ensure the best for his niece. As for Mentha, Mentha plans to give her uncle a peaceful life and one without having to worry. They're precious and close when it comes to reading poetry and fairy tales. He would often read her some before going to bed. They also enjoy listening to music and performing together. He would sing along to her playing. He encouraged her to continue music and poems despite working towards her dream of having a better life for herself.
