i won't lie , i wrote this in tough times . i started this book months ago , and i'm only finishing it just now . this is just a bump in the road , and i promise i'm trying . this book , researching flower meanings and memorizing them , has not only proven helpful to me , but has given me so much strength . 

all i can hope is that it does the same for you . if you have read to the end , well , again ,  thank you . 

you might be going through a tough time , too , (  i've seen the trend in people searching for positivity through flowers ) but just channel that into something productive .

i started this because i read a beautiful work that focused it's meanings on flowers . it was meant for people like me , who didn't know what alstroemeria's meant , and didn't even know what a chrysanthemum was . a flower was really just that ; a flower . but , in the end , it was all explained . 

it ended with the red spider lily , just as this book has . 

i love to write , but it's always so difficult unless i'm in a rough moment to find the strength to write . i write when i need to vent out my emotions onto a screen , in the form of art . it makes me feel less crappy . 

when i need to cry , and by god everyone does , i read sad stories that absolutely make me wail . i blame the tears on a sad story . because then it feels like it's less of a problem . 

it's normal . 

i know it doesn't feel like it is , but it is .

i'm proud of you . for getting this far . not in this book , goodness , this book and the flowers might be the most insignificant part of it . but for making it this far in everything . 

use these flowers and their meanings in your day to day life . 

in your stories . 

draw them when you feel sad . 

when you feel happy .

reference them in your metaphors .
