Though the Keon family was loyal, they were weak in terms of strength, as this resulted to the decrease of the Keon family during the cataclysm. Sakura's mother, still severely wounded passed her daughter to Guuji Yae to which she took in and raised as her own. During her studies on the Grand Narukami Shrine, The little girl met someone who came to visit along with her Family as she helped guide them to the Shrine she couldn't help but talk and talk to the girl whom introduced herself as "Kamisato Ayaka". Safe to say, Sakura didn't want to continue her shrine maiden studies, Guuji Yae, but wanting to send her off to somewhere else archons knows where, gave her to the Kamisato' s instead.
