Scammers: There's A Special Place In Hell For You To Go

*sighs*

Scammers.

The evil bastards who try to live off other people's money because they're too much of lazy asses to get a job themselves. It's happened to TONS of people across the country. Whether they open a link from what they thought was sent from their bank or they give out personal info to someone they thought they could trust.

It happened to my mom this morning. There's a holiday festival in my brother's and future sister's neighborhood. Mom wanted to sell some things from our storage to get rid of everything so she reached out to this person who was looking for vendors.

Judging by the title of this rant as well as the intro, she was a scammer.

Mom was going through the other comments and someone mentioned that they used dollar signs for one person and the Euro sign for another. So, basically they exposed themselves by changing country's currency symbols. Mom asked them a question about the tables and they answered that they were 10x10, not realizing that that big of tables don't exist but they didn't care. They just wanted my mom's money. Mom and dad were talking about the strategies they use: writing out what looks like a legitimate bank email, explaining that you'd been hacked and to click the link to make sure everything's okay. They have you type in your bank / account info and they wipe you out. It happened with mom before.

I was in the car with her once while she was on the phone with the airline booking tickets to surprise Grammy for her 83rd birthday. The person picked up and spoke in a foreign language so automatically, I knew, this bastard was a scammer. Mom caught him trying to ask for more money than she thought and he immediately hung up because he knew she was onto him.

Mom called Apple for something and they were trying to wipe out all her money. You know, because they're lazy assholes who are sitting in a chair and are too damn lazy to make their own damn money. Long story short, she told them to go to hell. Which they deserved. And they had the audacity to get mad at her because they know what they're doing is evil and they don't care.

I hope every single scammer out there burns in hell one day.
