Mom: I'm Not Your Barble Doll!

I never should've come to this stupid thing!

I should've stayed home where I could be in my sweats and PJs all damn day rather than being treated like a Barbie doll!

I hadn't posted a proper rant in MONTHS. I thought that life was getting better, people were getting smarter (slightly) and work was getting more bearable.

WRONG.

We're going to my cousin's fiancé's bridal shower today. At 10:30. Earlier than I would've preferred but whatever. It's good enough that I showered, dressed nice and blow dried my hair. I didn't even want to blow dry, but my mom is a perfectionist. I have to look like a Barbie doll in order to go out ANYWHERE!

I don't even know these people! I don't know her family or friends so who would I care if they see me dressing like a hobo??

I couldn't care less! Getting my haircut was the only thing I care about getting done before this stupid thing. I'm surprised she let me get away with not doing my nails. She'd been talking about it all week.

"We need to do your nails"

"We should get your nails done some time this week"

"Maybe I'll paint them tomorrow night"

At least my nails survived, but my mom needs to chill the hell out! I don't give a crap about my hair, my makeup (which, in my opinion, I feel like I don't need, but whatever).

I wish I could've worn my flip flops or a hoodie or something. It's sixty degrees out! I'm gonna be freezing my a$$ off! It's not even worth dressing up for some stranger's bridal shower!

I'm not putting on an ounce of makeup on for my future sister's shower. Mom will just have to accept it.
