Me: I Shouldn't Be This Much Of Burden On My Parents At This Age!

Me: I Shouldn't Be This Much Of Burden On My Parents At This Age!

-

Here are some context to understand the rant better:

My grammy took a bad fall, was put into rehab and then the hospital to recover. She only had twenty one days before they kicked her out whether she was doing better or not. She was sent home maybe a week ago. Since then, I thought she was doing better — we ALL did.

I guess there are still complications.

Flash forward to today, mom was crying because grammy left her a voicemail demanding that she found a way to come over and help my aunt (help my aunt take care of grammy). She didn't care how she did it. Grammy just wanted her to do it.

This is where you find out why 'me' is a part of this rant title.

I'm pretty sure I've ranted about this before and I know that this is my own fault, but if I knew how to drive, if I had my own car, my mom wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

If she didn't have to worry about my transportation to work, she could live more freely and drive back and forth to see my grammy all she needed.

And I KNOW this is my fault. I could do some homework on how to drive, get behind the wheel, but I'm scared to! Especially where I live. People run red lights, cut you off, speed up to a hundred miles per hour.

I'd like to say that I blame my brain injury I had at birth. I don't remember how exactly it affected me, but I refused to learn how to swim (still don't know how) and ride a bike as a kid.

The point is, I can't keep blaming my brain injury my whole life. It's been twenty four years since that happened. If I could move past my stupid speech condition that the injury caused, I should certainly move past learning how to drive!

As far as this aspect in my life, my parents' — my MOM'S — life would've been a hell of a lot better if I grew tf up.
