Dad: The Annoying Hypocrite

My parents and I are staying at my brother's house while a painting crew paints the interior of our house. My brother and his fiance have two dogs (one of them I've ranted about) and the puppy is always looking for attention, climbing on top of your back and wanting to play ball with you. Both the dogs were sleeping when my dad came back down from HIS nap.

This is when the rant comes in...

My father was on his phone, complaining and yelling at the dog whenever she wanted to play.

Instead of putting his damn phone away for five minutes and playing with her, he kept b****ing and yelling at her to leave him alone.

This kind of ties in with yesterday's rant.

I threw a ball for her, took her out to go potty, kept throwing the ball. Sure, I was on my phone, but I had the decency to step away from it to play with her and keep her entertained.

HE DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN. IF HE PAID LESS ATTENTION ON HIS PHONE AND MORE ON HER, HE WOULDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM!

For heaven's sake, man! Stop complaining, put your phone down and PLAY WITH HER!

Ironically, he's the one who complains about kids obsessing over their phones.
