Rather Too Late
Her quivering lips attempted to mask her sorrow with a smile
When all she could think of was her grief, for quite a while
She dwelled in the skin of another, a girl so loved and in love with life
While on the inside, the timid girl felt she was done with her life
How could she even attempt to explain?
Everyone else just overlooked her pain
People said one needed a real reason to cry
Guess her 'perfect life' wasn't, no need to try
When the world came down to wrongs and rights
And she had to hide her tears, forced under spotlights
That she didn't ask for, but was told she was fortunate
Even if all they did was make her feel devastated
At the end of the day, nobody really cared
If she felt broken or if she was repaired
Because they thought she had everything
But she hadn't, and she was found the next morning
The eyes that shone stared lifeless
Her mouth gaping open, aimless
Suddenly all the world cared about her
Rather too late, for she was six feet under

I intended to expand this but then decided to just leave it at this. Maybe I'll work on it in the future...
