Wounds open, hope vanishes, it's raining pain
Trying hard to open my eyes albeit in vain
Darkness surrounds me, infusing the air
With that vaguely familiar scent of despair

No ray of sunshine to illuminate my gory reality
No glue to hold me together as a single entity
I fight the waves to keep from drowning
But this torrential downpour ceases to relent
