Jayden POV

Ever since Connor was taken, things have definitely not been the same. Jake stays in his office going over plans and areas where we think Connor was taken to only to search them and find nothing. Sawyer has beat himself up for what, I have no idea.

Him and Jake don't spend any time together, they don't talk, touch, even be near one another in the same room. Jake sleeps in his office and Sawyer in the suite. I don't even think they mated for the past three years, yes it's been three horrible long years since that day my beautiful nephew was taken.

This has been a nightmare for all of us, especially Jake. He fears he is going to lose his son, the only real connection he has to Colson. We all try to reassure him but we all know it's empty words and promises because we have no idea if Connor is safe, let alone alive. I hope and pray to the moon goddess that he is at least alive, I'm sure he's hurt. There's no doubt he is unharmed but if he's alive, he can heal from any injury inside and out.

We have word all over the world about his kidnapping. Jake wanted the world to know he was missing  not the human world of course. We sent a recent photo Jake had of Connor with details about him and contact information for us in case anyone happens to see him. The calls and letters come to me being the beta so when I got a letter from Europe from a small quiet pack saying there has been a new pack of wolves just a hundred miles from them and they saw a small boy while just being out exploring like wolves like to do about Connor's age now, I had to go check it out for myself.

I won't tell Jake about this until I am one hundred percent sure it is Connor. I don't want to give him false hope on his son. I just told him I had to go see this pack because they wanted to locate to the US and wanted to come near our area and wanted help in finding land and what not, he believed me which is awesome because if it were any other time, he would have seen through the lie in a heartbeat.

My mates know what I am doing and Alek is coming with me, for support and to help in case anything goes wrong which I'm almost certain things will.

10 hours later.

We land at the airport and are greeted by the Alpha himself with his mate by his side and are taken to their car and they don't head to their land, they immediately take the direction of this other pack.

"As I stated in the letter Jayden, they arrived a week ago and I spoke to them to welcome them and told them if they wanted any help to contact me. I noticed one of them was carrying a small boy and noticed he was badly injured so I asked about him, they had told me they found the pup and were going to help him and find who he belongs to. I knew that was bullshit and just nodded and we left and I contacted you as soon as I could. I would have called but I didn't want to risk your Alpha picking up and wondering why I was calling.  I know if it were me, I wouldn't want to hear about a boy that may or may not be my son so contacting you was the next best thing. I do need to warn you, when I saw this boy, I wanted to throw up, he looked like he was dead. I know he wasn't because I could hear his heartbeat but it was slow and I could barley hear it. I don't think he has much time from the looks of him. I also smelt blood and other fluids and he just didn't look anything like the photo but he did if that makes sense." The Alpha, Theo explained and I listened to every word and I was fuming. Alek squeezed my hand and that calmed me down some.

"As long as he is alive, we will handle everything else as it comes. Just focus on him being alive, nothing else at the moment." He said looking into my eyes. I smiled softly and kissed his smooth cheek.

"I know, it's just been hell on us all for the past three years that I want it to be him and I want to put an end to this nightmare that has plagued our lives. He was, is just a baby Alek, an innocent baby who has already had it hard starting out in his life and I don't think Jake will survive if anything happens to his son, he and Sawyer already lost their baby that day, losing Connor would just kill him, I know it would." Alek wiped the tears that fell from my eyes and hugged me as best he could from our sitting position. He didn't say anything because there was nothing he could say, it's the truth.

We arrive to this town two hours later and we get out and I noticed warriors from Theo's pack were waiting when we stopped. We got out and he introduced us to them and they went to explaining the movements of this pack.

"So they haven't went anywhere and hardly come outside but they are there. I noticed a light comes on in the basement at least a few times since we have been on lookout the past few days. There are thirty wolves who patrol all the time, it's like they are on guard of waiting for someone to come into the land which seemed odd, that many patrolling such a small area at all times. I noticed a small opening on the west side that we could get through but it will have to be quick. Once they sense us there, we will be surrounded but we can take them. They aren't going to last against all of us. When do you want to go in?" Cam asked looking at me.

"Now." Is all I said and he nodded and we all got ready to go and hopefully rescue my nephew.

A half hour later we make our way to their land and I shift into my wolf and run in and head straight for the pack house, avoiding wolves on my way with the help of the warriors and Alek being by my side. Thankfully I didn't get attacked thanks to them all helping. I shift back and knock the door down and run inside and people are running around scared and trying to get to safety but they aren't my focus, my nephew is who I can smell so I head toward his scent and it leads to a door in the hallway so I open it and I am hit with a horrible stench and soft heart breaking whimpers.

I run down the stairs and it's dark but I can make out where Connor is. I go over to him and see he is laying naked on the floor with chains that are so short that he can't move. His little body, I can't even recognize him. I see pee and poo and I know it's from him, he had to lay in it and is bleeding from his backside and mouth. I break the chains and gently pick him up and he screams so loud that it breaks my heart.

"Shhh it's ok Con, I got you. You're safe now pup, I promise." I said trying to calm him down which he does some after he realizes it's me. I carry him up the stairs and past the fighting wolves and out the door.

We make it to the cars and I get in still naked with my injured and small nephew. After everyone comes back, with the Alpha and his beta, we head back. We stop at a cabin Theo has and we all cleaned up and headed to the airport and got onto the private jet and were on our way back home. I know getting Connor help is of course a top priority but I also want to get him the help at home and home to his family. I have no idea what is wrong with him but from the looks of him, I can tell it's going to be a very long hard road for him.
