Leo's POV

We were ready. Donnie and Casey had made the old hippie van more armoured and weaponized.

And Donnie had prepared a bunch of stuff for making a retro mutagen.

Now we were riding back to New York. Mia was by my side and constantly keeping an eye out the window.

"Daddy is grandpa okay?" She asked suddenly.

I looked down at her. Those light pink eyes stared at me with so much innocence.

I smile. "Yes he is.." I say. Even though I had a feeling he was still alive. There was still part of me that felt he wasn't quite himself.

But my Princess didn't need to know that.

*Time Skip*

The gates to New York were shut. But Casey crawled the van over to it anyway. I hide Mia behind me and we go low to the ground as a Krang droid comes up.

Casey holds a smile as he rolls the window down.

"The place known as New York is under the thing known as control. Until then please do the thing called Leave."

Casey nods but as the Krang droid leaves he backs the car up and starts to rev up the engine.

"Mia hold onto me and don't let go. Okay?" I tell her. She nods and hugs me while I wrap my arms around her and watch as Casey speeds the car towards the gate.

Here we go.

I close my eyes and tighten my grip on Mia as I feel the impact of the gate and van hitting.

"We're through!" Casey yells to us in the back.

I open my eyes and let my grip loosen on Mia.

All around us were mutated humans.

Mia is shaking and I rub her shell comfortingly. "Mia it's okay. I promise, no matter what I'll protect you." I whisper to her.

She stops shaking and just snuggles to me.

I would. My Princess would be safe.

Mia's POV

Uncle Mikey had found a place for us to stay until we could clean our home as Uncle Don put it. I didn't mind cause Uncle Mikey and me had fun making a lot if pizza together. And as Mikey put it 'Pizza Heaven'.

"Okay Mia put the sauce on. This one is gonna be the best one yet." He says.

I nod and smile as I uncap the chocolate bottle. Dumping as much as I could on the pizza dough we had made.

It makes a farting noise and spatters chocolate all over my face and Mikey's arm.

"Yes! We have accomplished the chocolate Mia!" Mikey says in the old scientist voice.

I giggle and he picks me up running around the kitchen.

I laugh and pretend we're the Godzilla monster in the movie.

"Rawr!" I say while giggling at the end.

Mikey stomps his feet and makes it look like we're stomping on the city. "Boom, ahh!" He says. I giggle again and see Daddy in the Kitchen door.

He's smiling.

Leo's POV

She was smiling and giggling even laughing. That is the Mia I know.

She had chocolate all over her face and they were now acting like a Monster.

I should have known. Mikey always makes people smile.
