Leo's POV

"Sir, I would like to have your blessing to Marry Mia." Carson says as we sip our coffee from a nearby coffee shop. It had been almost two years since they started dating.

And even after Carson found out Mia was a mutant. He loved her still the same.

I nearly choke on my coffee and I start coughing as I quickly swallow.

"You wanna- *cough* *cough* marry Mia? *cough cough*"

He nods and I throw my drink out as I control my breathing. "Hold on.." I mumble as I sit on a bench.

I could barely suppress my shock and joy.

"I'm so sorry.. this is all a little too much for me.." I take a deep breath and smile at Carson. "Carson you are a wonderful young man. You treat Mia with Love and Respect and love her for who she is, of course you have my blessing to Marry Mia."

He beams and cheers before doing a little dance and shaking my hand vigorously. "Thank you so much Mr. Hamato! I will love her with my whole heart until I die." He says.

I smile at him, "Well better get going, you have my daughter to propose to."

"Of course! I have to go get a ring! Thanks again! I will text you the details of the proposal tonight!"

I smile and nod as he runs off. He was worthy enough for my princess.

Mia's POV

Dad and my uncles were acting strange, including grandpa. Whenever they saw me they would pat me on the back proudly and smile wide.

I mean yes, our family does weird things all the time but this is the weirdest anyone has gotten.

And that's saying a lot.

I sit on the couch reading a book as I wait for Carson. He said he had a surprise tonight and to be ready by seven.

So I was currently waiting for him.

All of a sudden my Father jumps on the couch. "So, what are you and Carson doing tonight?" He asks with a big smile.

I look at him over the rim of my book curiously, "I don't know Dad. He said it was a surprise."

He smiles wider and lays back on the pillow.

And as if on cue my uncles and Grandpa come out just as Carson arrives.

"Hey Mia, you ready?" Carson asks, dressed in a blue plaid shirt and a pair of jeans.

I nod and smile before glancing back at my family one more time. They grin and wave me off. After tonight they were so gonna get the interrogation of their life.

I straighten my watch and twist it onto my human form. Feeling the familiar buzz my body changes to fit my clothes.

I smile at Carson and he frowns as we walk out.

"Is something wrong? Do I look bad?" I ask nervously, suddenly thinking the worst.

He laughs a little and shakes his head. "No Mia, its just.." gently grabbing my wrist with the watch he twists it to turn it off and I change back into my normal form. "I would love to have you in your normal form for our date tonight. Your beautiful and I want you to feel comfortable around me in any form."

I smile and hug him. "Your the best boyfriend ever. I hope you know that.."

He hugs me back and after a few moments he let's go. "Now let's go! I bet your dying to know what the surprise is, knowing you." He says taking my hand and leading me to the manhole cover.

I smile. Indeed I was.

Carson hops over another roof with me close behind him. "We're almost there, but before we get there I need you to close your eyes." He says. I sigh and move my mask, so it covers my eyes.

"Now I'm going to guide you to the spot. Just follow my voice and you'll be fine." I hear him say.

Nodding I prepare to follow his instructions.

"Take 5 steps forward and turn right. Then go another 4 steps forward." He says a little farther away.

Following his voice and instructions I stop after four steps and feel him grab my shoulders.

He gently takes off my mask and I open my eyes to find a blanket layed out on the roof with a dinner of pizza hotdogs on some crystal plates. A few candles lit the area and the view held the statue of liberty with, the stars and moon twinkling their reflections on the water below.

It was beautiful.

I turn to Carson and hug him. "It looks amazing.."

He hugs me back and guides me to the blanket.

Sitting down he pulls out two small bottles of root beer. "Can't forget the refreshments my lady.." he says popping the caps off and handing me one.

I smile and take a swig.

"Thank you for the lovely spread out Carson."

After eating our dinner and talking about how our days went, Carson stops laughing at something I said and gets up, holding his hand out to me.

I give him a puzzled look but take his hand. "I want you to dance to this song with me alright?" He says. A little confused, I nod.

He pulls out his phone, taps a few things and the music starts. We start swaying, listening to the words. And soon, I'm lost in the music.

As the end of the song ends, Carson twirls me and suddenly gets down on one knee, pulling out a shiny ring as I recover from the twirl.

He starts speaking as I finally realize what he's doing. "Mia, you are the light of my life. And to be honest I can't imagine doing anything without you. I love you from the bottom of my heart, and I promise that I will never leave your side. So I'm asking tonight on this rooftop to your beautiful self, Mia Blossom Hamato will you marry me?"

I stand there with tears in my eyes as he stares back at me with so much love.

I start crying and try to speak but find that I'm sobbing. Instead of speaking I just frantically nod my head yes and fall into his arms.

He holds me and I sob into his shoulder as he strokes my hair. "Heh, I didn't know you would get this emotional sweetheart.." he says holding me close.

In the middle of my sobs I manage to get a sentence out. "I never thought anyone would want to marry me.."

He holds my head gently in his hands and turns me to look at him, tears still streaming down my face.

A few tears are laced in his and he smiles at me, then suddenly plants his lips on mine and rests them there for a few seconds.

Looking me in the eyes he smiles at me and wipes a few of my tears away.

"Well I want to marry you, and that decision will never change.."

Placing the ring on one of my fingers he kisses my forehead and holds me in his arms until I stopped crying.

Leo's POV

We all wait for Mia to get back. Sitting on the couch, watching the minutes tick by. We all were tapping our feet or pacing the floor.

My brothers and I didn't know what to expect.

Mikey rolls around the carpet one more time before groaning, "Dudes! It's getting too much! My excitement is gonna explode!"

Raph stops pacing and groans as well. "For once, I agree with Mikey."

Donnie shrugs and twiddles with the confetti machine he made. "You guys could go set something up, like help Splinter with the gift or April with the cake."

Mikey instantly gets up and runs toward the kitchen. Skipping as he did so.

Raph groans and goes towards the Dojo.

Even I could barely contain my excitement.

Mia was gonna be engaged..

I laugh a little and Donnie looks at me curiously. "What?" He asks.

I shake my head and gesture to the picture of Mia as a kid on top of the TV. "She just grew up so fast.."

Donnie smiles sadly at me as I look at the picture with a longing in my heart. "I would do anything to hold her as a little girl again. It went by so fast. I just wish I had more time.."

Donnie sets his screwdriver down and gets up, taking the picture off the TV he sits next to me and pats my shoulder.

"She still is that little girl Leo. And don't worry, Mia will come visit every week. She will always love you. You saved her, took her in and protected her while giving your heart to her. You were her father. And that is something that a daughter will never forget and stop thanking you for. She will still give you hugs and she'll still give you kisses she just won't be around as much."

I glare at him and he chuckles. "Just saying Leo, she'll still love you no matter what. Now come on, help me with this confetti machine."

**Time skip**

Mia's POV

We walk to the lair in a silent excitement. I couldn't wait to tell Dad and my Uncles. Unless they already knew and that's why they would act weirdly.

As I'm thinking I turn the corner and walk up to the lair but stop. It was pitch black and WAYYY too quiet.

Carson steps up to my side and puts his hands up in defense as I give him a look.

"I have no clue what is going on.."

Suddenly the lights fly on and confetti poofs in my face making me cough and wave the rest away.

"CONGRATS MIA!!!" A bunch of voices yell. Suddenly I'm lifted from the ground as a mass of green arms squish me.

"Guys! Can't breathe!"

They let go of me and back away all with big grins. "So, don't just stand there show us the ring!" Uncle Raph says grinning.

I pull out my hand and they all gasp. "Holy sewer apples, that's a real diamond.." Uncle Don mutters under his breathe.

My dad picks me up in a bone crushing hug and twirls me around. "My Princess is engaged to her Prince!" He yells. I hug him back and laugh as he sets me down.
