I was watching telly on a series called F.R.I.E.N.D.S, I never watched it before, but I recommend it to anyone who hasn't watch it.
"Amanda?" I looked at the direction the voice came from, seeing Ben standing there with a smile spreading ear to ear. "I know a small place where we could eat." I turned off the television then looked at him and spoke, "Where?" He sat down next to me, giving me a kiss on my thin lips then he pulled back pressing his forehead on mines. "A little cafe; I had my first date there with Martin and I figure you might like it," He beamed at me, he so cute trying to be innocent.
"For someone being dead, you do talk a lot about them." Ben gave a light chuckle then frowned, "Am sorry... it's just I miss him so much." He looked at TV, smiling at it. It's probably been years and he still couldn't get his lover out of his head like a virus saying hello to the hard drive.
I place a hand on top of his lap gently rubbing it, "I know it's hard and you'll be hunt by him, but at least he knows your happy." "I had to hand it to you, you certainly know how to make a statement, but thank you for it." He took my hand; kissing the back of my hand. I wasn't use to being loved, it feels... feels weird. You know? My stomach flips, my hair tingles, my cheeks fluttered with colors, my throat goes dry, my words are all over the place.
"Let's eats, doofus." He giggle, "Alright."
-At the cafe-
Ben opened the door for me, "Welcome to Sunshine." The smell of coffee and pastry filled the room, the happy people talking about something or those who are introverts keeping it to themselves. Ben gave me a side hug and whisper to my ear, "Are you fine with public romances?"
Pub-Public romances? No, I can't! Am-Am not use to these relationship thingy.
He let go of me, "Don't take it seriously, Amanda. Am only asking for when we get in more a serious relationship." He sat down near a the window, oh. I had a feeling this would be even more awkward, I sat down in front of him. A lady came over to our table giving us the menu. "Cortado," Ben ordered, not even looking at the menu.
I never ate out before and I didn't want to waste time, I looked up at Ben. "Any recommendations?" I asked, the lady gave a sigh and left. "Sorry," "Don't be, there's a lot of good options here. Martin told the Mille Feuilles are delicious, oh! I tried the Raspberry Pinwheel those are good," Ben smiled, pointing at different items on the menu. He acts like a child it's absolutely adorable; he noticed me staring. I turned the other direction as my cheek left a faint pink stain on my cheeks, jeez this embarrassing.
I notices something on the menu that caught my eyes, "Oh what about Blueberry cake donut?" "Sounds like a treat."
The lady came back with Benedict drink then she looked at me, "Are you ready to order miss?" I nodded, "Umm... the Blueberry cake donut." She nodded then left. What can go worse this morning?
"Oh! I know you!" Who? I glance at a boy: dirty blonde messy slicked back hair, round shaped eyes with hazel eyes, slender body. "Oh, your injured badly. I shouldn't have left you," He spoke, pulling a chair to our table and sitting down. I looked over at Ben, who wasn't enjoying the accompanying of another fellow, I looked back at him. "Who are you?"
"Emily's boyfriend. I was worried when all hell broke loose." I saw from the corner of eyes that Benedict frowned his eyebrow and lips. "Its a normal thing you shouldn't be worried," I mumble, taking a bite from my treat. Damn this donut is hella sweet, but it was scrumptious. "I didn't introduce myself when we meet," He leaned front; folding his hands and looked at me with a smile, "Am Ellison."
Usually Emily's boyfriend's wouldn't talk to me because she threatens them, but this one is not afraid at all.
I rubbed my waist, sigh, this is going to be the biggest scars I have on body minus the one on my back. "Was I interfering something?" Ben immediately looked at him ready to burst out whatever he was going to say, but I stopped him, "No! Not at all. We were just eating out." "Oh like a date?" I almost choke on my donut while I watched Ben lips curve into a smug smile sipping away his drink. "I was just joking," He chuckled, "Why would a young lady like yourself date an older man?"
Ben put his drink down with a force that shook the table bit; scoot his chair back and walked outside. "What's wrong with him?" I knew Benedict wasn't happy either him being called an old man or Ellison is pushing sensitive buttons. "I got to go," I finished my last piece and scoot my chair. He did the same, "So soon? You shouldn't be control on what you do." Shouldn't be control? Pfft. "Listen it's lovely to chat to you, but he's my only ride to get to his place." He tilt his head raising a brow, "You live with him? I thought you live at your home?"
I rubbed my hips, jesus lord! I just want to lay down in comfort bed and not stand up! "I don't live with him. You think I want to go back to being a punching bag everyday? At least he gives me rights and food unlike my parents." He rubbed his nape, "Well you could stay at my place when Emily ain't around." I looked away, damn all these nice folks. "I'll think about it, but I got Mr Otter over there to clam down." "Alright, umm...can we met again?" It's nice to talk to someone without being judged I mean I have Ben and Andrew, but their adults and am just a kid.
I felt a peck on my cheeks making me blushes bright red, "Come on, Amanda. I want to take you shopping so you could look pretty for me." This god damn men is a huge child. I gave him a quick peck, "Go to the car and wait you big baby." He pouted; Ellison pointed at both of us then raise his hands as he back up. "Enjoy your day, Amanda. I see you some other day." He winked at me as Ben intertwined his fingers with mine's with a tight grip.
