A blur of red raced through the air as a loud sound followed.

"Slow down, Dijon!"

"Slow down in the water, Admiral!"

"Stop leaving us behind, Crepe!"

"In your dreams, LKs!"

"Watch it, VKs!"

Wendy stretched as she went over to Linda. Seafoam and Marcus were growling as they watched the screen. Linda sighed.

"Oh boy..." She tapped something on the desk and she looked at what they were looking at. Wendy joined her as she didn't want to be with either of the growling duo.

"What's going on?" Linda purred.

"Two groups are colliding. I can't figure it out." Wendy paused as Crawford tore the entire Almia battle down and bolted off. "And then there's Crawford." Wendy chuckled as the two groups were forced to work together to untangle themselves.

"Crawford!" The male didn't reply as he left their sights. Wendy felt her phone buzz and she pulled away to answer.

"Hello?"

"Hey SkyLight."

She smiled at the nickname. Yeah, Lapis hit dead on with the whole thing about them being together. But she was never going to admit that.

"Hey Afro." She dropped her voice to a whisper. "Nice job with the Ks."

"Aw... are you getting soft on me?"

"Dear Arceus..." She murmured. "You are impossible."

"But SkyLight!" She giggled lightly at the soft whine that followed. "You can't deny me like that!"

"I'm not." She murmured as she looked at the screen. A soft conversation seemed to follow from the groups. A lot of guilty looks followed as they talked. "I'm just stating facts."

"Is that the sound of a date being prepared?"

"Damn you." Her words seemed to hush as she looked over. "I would actually like to meet about this situation with the Ks. Want to meet... later?"

"How about over some dinner? I heard Elinas's has a amazing meal this week."

"Is that a-" She quickly locked eyes with Linda before hissing. "-date I hear?"

"Aw... is my SkyLight getting embarrassed?"

"Afro..." She rubbed her arm nervously as she sent a quick glance at the others. "Fine. What time?"

"6? I have to keep the little menacing war apart." She giggled.

"Six jokes or..." She shot a glance at the operators. "No kiss tonight."

"One, that's not even close to a challenge. Two... why!?" She giggled at his distress. "What have I done to deserve this?"

"I want something else to talk about over dinner." He paused at her words.

"Ooh... SkyLight... you are throwing some dangerous cards."

"Same for you. See you at 6."

"Will I get a kiss?"

"6 jokes."

"Fine..." She giggled at the whine.

"Whiney... see you then." A laugh followed as they hung up. She went back over as Linda hummed.

"So... a date? Who's the date with?" Wendy huffed.

"I'm not answering that." She paused at the sight of a note next to her operator. "You have plans?" Linda followed her gaze and huffed.

"Me, Elita and Rand are meeting up to discuss some things." Wendy hummed.

"No Sven?" She paused.

"Sven's... been acting strange." She eyed him as he jerked at Crepe's words. "And I don't want him there for that." Wendy nodded.

"Well... I'm going to split that fight up." Linda nodded as the sky ranger ran off.

Wendy sighed as she waited for the afro haired male to arrive. He wasn't late, she was just early. She smiled as he arrived at the place.

"Darn... if I had known you were going to do this, I would've come with a present."

"Oh yeah? 6 jokes." He smiled.

"I'll give you one now. Close your eyes." She purred as she closed her eyes. Something touched her lips, making her open her eyes. A chocolate kiss was in between his fingers as she smiled.

"Sly..." She pulled his hand away and took the kiss from him. "But that's a good one." He smiled.

"I only got five out before the group was called away. So I thought of one on the spot." She chuckled.

"Your kiss will come at the end." He smiled as he stepped back and held out an arm.

"Shall we?" She smiled as she took his arm.

"Of course."

"But it is serious."

"Yes."

They had ended dinner with a stroll through the forest. He stared at the sky as the moon shined down. She eyed him as she paused. The thoughts about the sight were menacing, but she would make it.

"I wonder..." He glanced at her as she moved next to him. "There are the LKs, the ones birthed by the Lightwings, and the VKs, the ones birthed from the villains. But... Seafoam told me... while you were..." She fell quiet before sighing. "But... what she said caught my attention. 'You don't have any powers, do you? Like... no specialty from your parents or blessings?'" Crawford paused.

"That's interesting..." He glanced at her. "You're pointing at the blessing part." Wendy nodded.

"I wonder... because ever since the Ks have been colliding, I feel some kind of aura encasing me. I don't understand it." Crawford hummed.

"Same here. I've noticed that it seems to be gathering around others. I wonder why." She hummed as looked at the moon.

"We should head back." She smiled at him. "Thanks for the good time."

"Of course, SkyLight." He smiled. "See you later-" She cut him off by pulling him into a kiss. He stopped as she pulled away.

"You were about to leave without it." He blushed before leaving. She smiled as she raced off.
