As tears fall like a downpour of rain
Upon the barren soil
Where love once grew,
But now the soil is malnourished.

The love was once bright,
But now darkness has covered the light.
Memories dancing like demons in the wind
It's in the quiet night
The sorrows of melody in the heart.

The soul cries out on the bed of melancholy.
The stars adorn the night and offer
No comfort or relief.
Diffraction consumes me like grief.
The soul must find art in the shattered pain
By crafting poetry to comfort the soul.
