BLACK ROSE
Beneath the numeral veil of your night,
Love appeared like the sun,
Shining brightly like the moon.
But you turned your hands against me;
I was a burden in this relationship.
I lay next to you with resentment,
Thinking your guilt would burn you to ashes.
Yet you threw abusive words at me like dust,
And I walked in darkness with a heart full of regrets.
I am a black rose,
A symbol of grief.
I made sacrifices,
Offered thanks to God.
I honored my vows,
Yet I’m blind, drunk with pain.
You gave me below;
I bewail your bestiality.
Despite my faithfulness,
You threw me into the rock bottom,
Drowning me in the water of lypemania.
I was alone with a bruised eye,
And I was branded as the black sheep.
Hallelujah!
I am a black rose covered in darkness,
A symbol of grief.
