Chapter 6
Kazimierz
January 16
1088
8:30 AM
Inside a Bar in Kawalerilki Igraine was sitting on a table.
She wore a pair of black jeans, a white shirt underneath a black jacket, grey thigh-high biker boots, and a pair of gloves.
The people were going about their day, while some were talking about the match the prior night, while others were bragging about Degen having a field day with her.
Though Igraine considered herself above bragging and feeling offended, there were moments when she just wanted to burst out and say that she handled herself superbly and gave Degenbrecher a run for her money.
Strangely enough, she's also been getting a lot of people coming up to her to get an autograph from her.
Though she'd admit, she didn't think she was all that special to deserve her own following of fans.
"Miss?" A young boy called standing in front of her.
He was a fairly young teen, to her he seemed around 14 probably 16 years old brown hair with some white streaks, typical Kuranta features like ears pointing up, a long horsetail coming from his lower back, and fair skin and grey eyes.
He was wearing a white shirt a pair of black pants and white sneakers.
"How can I help you?" Igraine asked the kid.
"I apologise if I was being rude, but I wanted to get your autograph." The teen requested as he showed her a catalogue with pictures of Knights from prior Knight's Majors and from the look of it, the book catalogue seemed to be the 1085 edition.
This was the 10th time this morning she got asked for an Autograph.
"Seriously, what was special about my fight with Degenbrecher that I'm still getting people to come to me for autographs?!" Igraine wondered to herself, and let out a sigh.
"Sure. what's your name?" Igraine asked as she picked up the kid's pen and flipped the page to where she was featured.
"Marcel Nowak." The boy replied and Igraine wrote down his name followed by her Signature.
"Here you go, Marcel." Igraine said as she handed the boy his catalogue book.
"Thank you miss." Marcel said as he walked away and met up with his friends who were waiting outside the cafe.
And around her was a bag where she put her packages.
It's been two days since the end of the Knights Major, and she began to contemplate it.
And figured that she'd left herself to get soft between the 3-year gaps between the Majors, and recalled the fight between her and Scarlet Dragoon, she won the fight by the skin of her teeth, after taking down his mount she took the chance to get him to yield.
And her fight in 1085 between her and the Azure knight, she quit that fight.
To observe Degenbrecher.
And in the fight with her Degenbrecher proved to be a more than formidable opponent, being as strong as she was agile, and a sting on her right cheek was felt recalling that slash.
And maybe it was time for her to take a long vacation from the Kazimierz Majors and continue
with her delivery gig.
*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*
Her phone rang three time.
Curiously she picked up the phone to see who it was and without seeing the number Igraine opened the phone.
"'Ello?" Igraine asked.
"Good morning lady Igraine it's me, Ioleta Russell, I have a request for you. There's a package I want you to send over to Kirill Nearl." Ioleta stated getting straight to the point.
"Alright, Ma'am I will be there shortly." Igraine said as she closed her phone, finished her coffee left a tip and walked outside to where her bike was waiting.
While it made her curious about what Ioleta had to give Kirill, it also went against her credentials as a delivery woman, so she won't pry on what Ioleta wanted to give Kirill.
25 minutes later, Igraine arrived at the outskirts of Kawalerielki and in front of the entrance of a fairly modest estate which seemed more like a hunting lodge, but who was she to ask about people's tastes?
"State your business." A Silverlance Pegasus guard stopped her at the entrance as he blocked her path.
"I'm here to pick up a delivery for Dame Russell, If you want further info I have her contact number as well as several messages from her." Igraine said as she handed him her phone.
And to make sure that Igraine was telling the truth he pressed the number and heard it dial.
"Hello ?" Ioleta Russell responded to the phone call.
"Madam Russell, I apologise, I simply contacted you using the phone of an Aslan woman who said that she came to your estate to pick something from you." the Guard said.
" Let her through Gerard ." Ioleta told him.
"Right away madam." Gerard said as he closed the phone and made and opened the way for Igraine, who got off her bike and decided to walk with it.
"I have to say, Madam, the match with the Black Knight a couple of months ago was commendable, and fought like a proper knight should." The SIlverlance told Igraine.
"Thanks, but, I don't think I performed all that well to earn your praise as I didn't have sufficient practice even in my overprepared state." Igraine replied in an honest tone, but the Siverlance merely shook his head.
"True as that may be, overpreparedness can also be a bad thing as a knight's mind can be clouded by doubt and hesitation can mean defeat, but at the end of the day, it was a proper fight between two knights. Though I ought to admit that I watch the Majors for the catharsis of it all, and watching Competition knights make fools of themselves when they face a superior foe." Gerard said and admitted with a chuckle which made Igraine feel a bit uneasy.
"That much I can understand good sir, but I have business to attend to, Have a nice day." Igraine said with a nod and walked away.
"Understood Lady Lion Knight." Gerard said in a joking tone.
"Please don't call me that." Igraine said in an embarrassed tone, as she didn't like being referred to by her stage name.
A short minute later as Igraine reached the courtyard she walked towards the door and banged on it.
"Yes!" Came a muffled voice she was somewhat familiar with.
And as the door opened the same Elafian girl she met at the locker room opened the door and looked at her with surprise.
Viviane was wearing a forest green hoodie, blue jeans a pair of white slippers.
"Hi." Igraine told the surprised girl.
"What are you doing here?" Viviane asked Igraine.
"Well... I am here to pick up a package from Miss Russell and deliver it to Kirill Nearl." Igraine told Viviane.
"Then just a moment, she's upstairs dealing with some documents." Viviane said as she went upstairs to call Ioleta.
A short minute later Ioleta came to the door.
Ioleta Russell is a Pegasus Kuranta with blond hair, gold eyes, and a large horse-tail coming from her lower back, and seemed to be about 20 years her senior.
She was wearing a black suit with the Adeptus Sprawiedliwi logo on the arm and a pair of black pants and slippers.
"Hello Lady Igraine, I hope you have been alright, and I'll say your match was a fun watch." Ioleta greeted her.
"Thank you Dame Russell but I am not here to hear compliments for the match, I am here for the package you requested of me to send Kirill Nearl." Igraine told Ioleta, who merely chuckled.
"Very well, just a moment." Ioleta said as she walked back towards her room, leaving Igraine and Viviane alone.
"So... You are the companion of the Tenebrous knight?" Viviane asked Igraine.
"You can say that. In fact, he was the first person in Kazimierz I started calling a friend. But let me guess, Kirill told Ioleta who in turn told it to you, yes?" Igraine asked Viviane.
"Not really, ma'am more so from hearing phone call exchanges between the two, and some visits before Lord Kirill fell ill." Viviane told Igraine.
"I can wager that you heard Kirill talking about Mlynar sounding smitten at times?" Igraine told Viviane who simply chuckled.
"Sort of, I recall a conversation between him and Miss Russell, where he said that Mlynar often equated you to knights of old, before the rise of the Capitalist class." Viviane said in a praising tone.
"Well... that was years ago, Miss Viviane, and now I am simply a delivery woman, who takes part in the Kazimierz Majors simply as a hobby with nothing much to gain really, and perhaps make some friends along the way." Igraine told the Elafian girl, but she left out the major reason which was nostalgia.
Nostalgia from doing the activities a knight would the single combat duels, fights of honour and sportsmanship.
And rivals turn into friends by the end of it.
It sounds like a selfish reason but... it was a reason.
"At least it is a more noble reason than what most fight. Fame and Glory often go so far, and Miss Russell is training me on how to be a proper knight." Viviane said.
"That's good to hear." Igraine said.
And as soon as they finished their exchange Ioleta walked back to the door holding a package.
"Here you Lady Igraine, I bid you a good day's work." Ioleta said as she handed her Igraine the package.
"Thank you, Dame Russell, Have a good day." Igraine said as she went back on her bike rode out of the estate and went to make her delivery.
Victoria.
Maeve was walking down the hallways of the academy to meet with the director of the Royal Guards Academy, and in her hands was a letter with a request for a temporary release.
She was wearing long black pants, a white shirt underneath a black uniform, a tie, and a pair of brown boots.
As for why she wanted to meet the superintendent?
She was planning on going to Ursus, kill Kashchey, and get Tal back.
Now she didn't think it through, but she'll think things through as they go.
As she reached the hallway where the Superintendent was, she bumped into a man.
"Oi watch where you're going!" Maeve yelled, and she saw the person she bumped into.
He was a fairly old Feline man, about the late 40s or into his 50s, with greying hair and a very bushy beard and grey eyes, a black suit with a turquoise sash around his torso, some medals that signified his service, white pants, black jackboots and white gloves.
"I would say the same to you, young lady." The man told her.
"Who are you?" Maeve asked the man.
"I am the Grand Duke of Wellington I came here to scout for potential recruits to include in my army's regiments." Wellington told Maeve.
"And I'm Maeve Hui-chie." Maeve told Wellington.
"Maeve Hui-Chie, huh? Well, I bid you a good day." Wellington told Maeve and went his way, leaving behind a somewhat perturbed Maeve, who wondered what the man was doing here besides talent poaching.
"You can think of that later Maeve." She muttered and went back on her way to talk with the superintendent.
3 minutes later, she reached his office and knocked on the door.
"Come in?" Said the man.
And Maeve walked in, Behind a wooden desk was a Lupo man working through paperwork,
He was in his late 30s long hair was grey which included his pointy ears, he had yellow eyes, fair skin and a body build that wasn't uncommon in soldiers with muscular arms and bodies and a clean-shaven face.
He was wearing dark blue pants, black shoes, a dark blue coat and a hat that was resting on the rack.
"Yes Hui-Chie?" The Superintendent asked her as he tore his attention from the paperwork.
"Superintended Cromwell, I request a one-year leave." Maeve told the man, who raised an eyebrow.
"Your reason?" Paget asked Maeve.
"Extended family matters came up and I have to attend those." Mave gave Paget a vague answer and Liberi seemed to look at her intently.
"Very well Hui-chie. I will give you the permission slip, and put your current studies on pause. But you will have to return within the same time frame that I've handed you the permission slip. Understood? Now be on your way and come the following day." Paget told her.
"Aye, Aye chief." Maeve said with a smile and walked out of his office.
And with that, Maeve left the office.
Leaving a curious-looking Paget behind, and wondering if this played into Wellington's plan to coax her into helping with the Taran cause and serve as the Draco Monarch.
But to Paget, all Wellington needed to do was stoke the fires of her ambition.
And if she didn't, then there's always the Dublinn sisters if she refuses.
Laterano
Margo was walking down the street to her favourite pastry shop where she would meet a friend.
Right now she was wearing a black shirt a dark blue skirt, black leggings and brown, high-heeled boots, and her wings and halo were much brighter..
"Hey, Margo!" Came a female voice from behind making the Sankta turn and see her friend.
She was a Sankta much like her, she had red hair and purple eyes, and her wings and halo had a crimson colour to them.
She was wearing a normal shirt that exposed her navel, black sports pants, and sneakers.
"Hey Razgriz, I thought I'd be meeting you at the pastry shop." Margo stated.
"Eh, I kinda slept in, come on. I don't wanna miss those Strawberry filled doughnuts." Razgriz said as she walked past Margo with a swiftness that can be defined as a woman in a hurry.
Later Margo and Razgriz were sitting on a bench, with the latter eating down on her 5th Strawberry Doughnut, while Margo was eating her chocolate pie.
"So, whatcha been up to?" Razgriz asked Margo.
"Nothing really, just lounging around and waiting for whatever mission I'll be assigned to. Might sign up for apostolic knights training. When I feel like it that is." Margo said.
"Truth be told that white armour and red sash would look great on you, and those Gatling guns. Man, what I wouldn't give to use those." Razgriz imagined herself wearing the armour of the Apostolic Knights as well as wielding their rotary cannon.
" Aaand... she begins ranting ." Margo thought to herself, as Razgriz started to rant about her plan to join the Apostolic Knights.
Though she would admit that she's been quite interested in the gear of the Apostolic knights for quite a long time, ever since she began to serve as an agent of Laterano, she heard tales of some of the students, where some of the Knights could put fear into Ursus' armies.
And she again couldn't help but think of the Apostolic Knights being similar to some of her sons, but instead of serving Arthur, they served the Pope as his personal Guard and if they were like any other Sankta significantly more laid back.
"Apostolic knights aside Margo. Regarding Kazdel-Laterano's animosity." Razgriz said getting Margo's attention piqued.
"What about it?" Margo asked Razgriz who finished her doughnut.
"So... I got looking into the earliest records of Laterano history, and I feel like some details about how the Sankta came to be have been left out, but I have come to the conclusion that the Sarkaz and Sankta were once the same race but those that would become the first Sankta took a change in their path, either by something or their own will. And the Sarkaz probably saw this as a betrayal." Razgriz concluded her little theory.
Margo seemed to think on this matter, but she couldn't help but feel like there was a shift in Razgriz, but she couldn't place it what it was.
Then as she finished her chocolate cake Margo heard her phone ringing.
"Yes." Margo answered.
"Hey Margo, It's me, W, I want to inform you that there has been something of a discovery over at Kazdel, You'll be sent there along with Razgriz, and once you arrive you will meet our contact. You are to be there by tomorrow noon." W said as he finished the call.
"So... Who was it?" Razgriz asked her.
"It was W., Looks like we are going to Kazdel. Let's get going." Margo told Razgriz.
Victoria
10 minutes after talking with Paget
"So... what do you plan on doing?" Ch'en asked her sister seeing that she was packing.
"I'm planning on going to Ursus to kill Kashchey and get Tal back." Maeve bluntly said.
"What?" Fiona asked as she popped out of the bathroom.
"Are you insane?!" Ch'en asked Maeve in an outraged tone, thinking that her sister had lost her marbles.
"What?" Fiona asked again but was ignored again, Who was Maeve gonna kill and who was this Kashchey guy?
"None of your Business Fi." Maeve said as she finished packing.
"You idiot do you think I'll let you go and kill one of Ursus' grand dukes! They will demand your head on a pike, or send you to some far-off work camp in the tundra!" Ch'en exclaimed.
"Will you stop screeching, half of the bloody dorm heard you." Maeve responded.
"Maeve if..."
"Ch'en I have planned for this moment for 11 fucking years, and I will not let you stand in my way." Maeve calmly told Ch'en but both she and Fiona could tell that Maeve was seething inside, and may lash out at her if she blocked her way.
"Sui damnit you madwoman! Fine! If you want to go and die then go and fucking die!" Ch'en said as she walked out of the dorm room and slammed the door shut.
"What was all that about?" Fiona asked wondering why Maeve was going to Ursus and Kill a grand Duke, and who was this Tal.
"Fiona... this is a family matter that it's better if you stayed out of." Maeve said then the door started knocking.
"Who could it be?" Maeve muttered as she went and opened the door to show a Perro woman holding something of a package.
"Madam Maeve?" The man asked her.
"Yes?" Maeve responded.
"This is a delivery made by your Uncle, he wants you to have it." She said as he handed her the package, and she walked away.
"What is it?" Fiona asked Maeve who opened the package and saw a black rectangular case, then proceeded to open the locks and inside saw that it was a longsword.
It had a fairly long blade at about 114 cm with a watery pattern, an iron grip with a leather strap, it's 19 cm crossguard that seemed to have been decorated with dragon carvings, but what caught her eye was the white dragon that seemed to bite down a serpent that wrapped around it.
But that wasn't all.
She felt like there was something about this sword, that seemed to call to her and make something of a connection and warmth that promised to protect her no matter the danger.
One thing is for certain, no human hands could forge a sword like this.
"So, your uncle sent you that sword?" Fiona asked Maeve.
"It looks like it." Maeve responded, just wondering what Yenwu was thinking, did he have an ulterior motive?
Did he know of her plan to go Kill Kaschehy and get Talulah out of Ursus? Was this some apology gift 11 years after the fact?
And he didn't even bother to attach any note.
"Damn, how confusing are you Yenwu?" Maeve muttered to herself, wondering the reason why he sent her this sword.
Outside
Ch'en was walking down the courtyard with quick steps, and as she got out she stopped for a moment and punched a tree that was next to her hard.
Now this may have hurt normal people's hands but Ch'en was too angry to care.
"Something's on your mind Ch'en? I bet that Maeve had something to do with it." Came the voice of Jasper as we walked on her.
He was wearing the usual uniform of black pants, a black jacket with dark golden lining and shoes.
"Jasper, it's nothing concerning you." Ch'en responded as she looked at her peer.
"I would say the contrary, my friend. But if you aren't in the mood to talk about and shift your thoughts to something else." Jasper said as he walked up to her.
"Fine, and yes Maeve's involved." Ch'en reluctantly replied.
"Let's sit somewhere and talk about it." Jasper said as he and Ch'en sat down by the tree she had just punched.
"So where do you wanna start?" Jasper asked her.
"I... don't know where to even begin, I just, I'm am afraid for my sister's wellbeing. And please don't tell anyone. Please." Ch'en told Jasper.
"Don't worry, as a nobleman of Victoria my lips are sealed shut." Jasper replied.
"Maeve is planning on going to Ursus and killing one of their grand dukes, specifically Kashchey." Ch'en told Jasper, who let it sink in and widened his eyes.
"That absolute mad woman! Has she finally lost her marbles?!" Jasper exclaimed at Ch'en thinking that the ever-maverick Maeve finally slipped and went down the nuthouse because no one goes after one Ursus' grand duke and gets away with it unscathed, he heard that one of Ursus' Emperors' Blades showed up in Victoria 4 years ago, which probably had something to do with an assassinated Ursus Noble 8 years ago and found the assassin had hidden among Victoria's upper class.
But for Maeve to do just that.
"I swear your sister is insane. Have you tried stopping her?!" Jasper demanded of Ch'en as he shot to his feet.
"Why should I even bother, Once she's set on something there's nothing stopping her." Ch'en told Jasper in a tired tone.
"Ch'en you have to stop her at all costs, If she does end up killing one of their grand dukes she will have the Emperor's Personal death squad. I recall the reports of the incident that the forest beyond the Viscount's estate was declared inhospitable, Many suspect it was a bio-weapons, but my brother had long suspected that the Emperor's Blades were involved, or one of their numbers at least. And they aren't a joke, and if she ends up facing a single one of them they will rip her apart." Jasper told Ch'en, who felt dread crawling up her spine at the thought of her sister ending at the thought of her sister probably facing, what Jasper made it sound, the Ursus' elite of the elite and the Emperor's hounds.
And so without wasting any further words, Ch'en ran back to the dorm.
"Man, those two are the most trouble-inducing family in all of Terra." Jasper muttered while making a note to call Charles when he got the chance.
Though he was curious how Vina's doing today.
A couple of minutes later.
"Maeve!" Came Ch'en's loud voice as she charged through the dorm and entered her room seeing that Maeve was alone sitting on the chair twiddling her thumbs while her feet rested on the desk, but she fell to the floor when she heard Ch'en's barge.
As for where Fiona was, she was in the cafeteria.
"What is it this time woman?!" Maeve asked Ch'en, wondering what changed her sister's heart so fast because when Ch'en gets stubborn she gets stubborn , recalling that she was willing to let her go to her death .
"Maeve, You can't go to Ursus now." Ch'en told her.
"And why not?" Maeve asked with a frown not feeling to humour her any further.
"Jasper told me of the assassination of an Ursus Grand duke, 3 years after Tal's kidnapping and 4 years after that, one of the Ursus emperor's bodyguards hunted the Assassin to one Victorian Viscount's estate. A fight broke out and the aftermath caused the forest nearby inhospitable. Look what I'm trying to say here Maeve is... rethink your plan, these aren't people you want to mess with. If what Jasper insinuated is true, which there is a high chance that it is, Ursus has its own can of monsters. And if they find out about you killing Kashchey, they will send one of them after you." Ch'en told Maeve.
Maeve for her part was contemplating what Ch'en just told her, but she could see the fear and worry in her eyes.
"Ch'en... I will do this regardless of cost, I have made it my mission for the past 11 years to get Tal back from Kashchey, and I won't stop now. I'm sorry I have made up my mind." Maeve told Ch'en who quickly got her into a tight hug while leaving out the fact that she sent a letter to Talulah the day prior.
"I'm sorry about what I said earlier, I just... I just don't want to get news of one of my sisters ending up dead without a body to even bury." Ch'en told Maeve, who could feel the Lung's sobbing.
Despite having been reborn on Terra and lived in it for 16 years Maeve always thanked whatever God there was, either native to Gaia or native to Terra for blessing her with a 2nd life and a pair of sisters that loved her deeply.
She could understand and appreciate Ch'en's worry, but their sister needed her.
And by her previous life as a Knight, she won't leave her to the fate of some bastard warmongering duke.
So the sisters stood there for a good 10 minutes as if it would be their last moment together.
And a thought that passed her mind countless times popped up again.
" Was this how Gawain always felt, having to worry for his siblings' wellbeing ?" Maeve thought to herself.
The following day
Kazdel
Borderland settlement.
Margo and Razgriz had been driving for a good chunk of a day and a night until they had finally made it to their
destination, The village was quite small up to, probably, 20 houses, Some houses looked better than others, some looked like abandoned shacks, while others seemed to have wear and tear.
Margo was wearing a plate carrier vest and a white T-shirt underneath a jacket, black pants and winter boots, while her Patron gun was holstered on the side, which was a shotgun with a magazine, as for personalized The body was painted a icy blue the pump a blank white and some stylistic engravings made to resemble a whistling breeze.
Razgriz was dressed similarly in a shirt, plate carrier vest, jacket, dark pants and boots.
Her patron guns were a pair of machine pistols with a wooden grip, which also each had a frontal grip.
As Razgriz and Margo walked through the village they got eyes on them.
Either look of derision, hate, or curiosity from the Sarkaz villagers.
But otherwise, they said nothing, they didn't want to get caught up in whatever the Lateranos were doing here.
Then someone crashed into her and saw that it was a kid about 12 or 13.
His hair was a greyish pink mixed with platinum and red eyes, his skin was rather pale, a pair of black horns protruding from the sides of his head, and a long and stout white tail with some protrusions at the tip.
If she didn't know any better she'd think the kid was a Draco, from what pictures she'd seen while reading up on Victoria's history.
"Who're you? And what a pair of Sankta doing in a borderland settlement?" The boy asked.
"We are here to meet with a colleague of ours, dusty black hair, green eyes, dressed up like a merc. Fading grey wings and halo, and a pair of horns and tail." Razgriz told him.
"Haven't seen him." The boy told the two.
"Vortigern...!" Came a female voice from behind them.
The two Sankta turned around to see a Woman in her mid-30s, She had dark platinum grey hair and eyes, a pair of stout horns protruded out of the top of her head at an angle, and a stout black tail came out of her lower back.
She had fairly pale skin, high cheekbones and a lean body and look on her face.
And she had a sword in her hand and the snow around her seemed to melt.
But Margo didn't care about all that, his focus was on the boy, and wondered if he was her reborn uncle.
Was he going to enact some revenge for helping Arthur kill him?
Or maybe she's just overthinking and the name is just a coincidence.
"We apologise ma'am, but we are here to meet a friend of ours, he's a Sankta like us, but has a pair of horns and a tail, and is wearing a combat gear." Razgriz asked the woman.
"Aye, I've seen a Sankta by that description, He said that he went to fetch something half an hour ago." The woman replied still eyeing the two Sankta.
"Do you know when he returns?" Margo asked.
"How about you turn around?" Came the voice of W from behind them.
The duo turned around to see a man with dusty grey hair, and fair skin, wearing a military uniform consisting of a drab green pants jacket, vest and black boots, a knife on a chest holster and his Patron gun holstered on the side.
His white wings and halo had taken a grey shade to them, and what was more eye-catching were the backward swept horns and tail coming from his head, and the tail coming from his lower back that ended with barbs.
"W." Margo greeted him as she went to hug him.
"We're sorry if we disturbed Madam Aedre. Now my companions and I will be on our way and out of your hair." W said as he apologised to the woman.
"Just be on your way." The woman said and with that, the trio went up and left.
Elsewhere in Kazdel.
10 minutes later.
A man dressed in a suit of armour fitting a knight sat behind a desk.
His hair was a light cherry pink, with a pale complexion, red eyes, and a pair of black horns coming from the sides of his temples.
He had a triangular-shaped face and a severe expression on his face.
This man was Theresis the regent of Kazdel and right now he was overseeing the results of a raid that had been conducted by his sister's forces on his soldiers forces.
"Why do you have to do it the hard way and face reality sister? The Nations of Terra won't ever allow Kazdel to exist as a united nation." Theresis muttered to himself.
Truth be said he can't bring himself to hate Theresa, she's still clinging to her ideal that Kazdel could peacefully exist next to the other nations of Terra.
As if they would ever allow that to happen.
"Sir, there's been a development. A duo of Sarkaz have been found walking." A Black Haired Goliath Sarkaz said as he walked up to Theresis with a tablet holding footage of Margo's and Razgriz's arrival.
"Hmph and Laterano are ever so impudent to walk into Kazdel when none's looking." Theresis muttered as anger flared into his chest.
"What do you suggest sir?" The man asked him.
As much as Theresis wanted to go there and deal with the Laterano intruders himself he had a Civil War to attend to.
"Send an observation team and monitor their movement. If they raise trouble eliminate them with due haste and if they are here to interfere with the Civil War, eliminate them with prejudice. If not make sure that you find out why they are here." Theresis told his soldier who nodded.
"Understood sir. Also sir before I leave, what do you recommend we do about the Princess in exile?" He responded, but before he left he asked Theresis regarding Igraine recent resurgence into the public stage.
And the Regent of Kazdel hought on the matter.
"Send an assassin and eliminate her, we want Victoria's instability to continue so they don't snoop into Kazdel's affairs." Theresis told the man and he left.
And Theresis couldn't help but think that something big would happen with those two wayward Sanktas.
As well as eliminating the Princess-in-exile would continue Victoria's spiral into chaos, leaving them open for future plans.
Ursus
" How long had it been since I last saw my sisters ?" Talulah thought to herself as she was making her way back to Kashchey's estate, which also served as her home for the past 11 years, from a Reunion rally.
After that, she might rendezvous with Alina and seek out Patriot and his Shieldguard.
And if there was one thing she hated about it, was Kashchey ever so standing above her head like a master overseeing their dog's actions.
She hated it.
She was wearing a black coat with a white front with a half-cape and Epaulette, a black skirt, a fingerless glove on her right hand, and a black half-skirt with a red interior.
Black boots, a kneed guard along with a pair of garter belts on her left thigh.
"Soon." Talulah muttered to herself, as she began to run through her plans to kill Kashchey.
Then she stopped in her tracks as she noticed a man standing at the gate.
"Are you Talulah Artorius?" The man asked her.
"Yes, that's me." Talulah responded.
"You have a letter and I was forbidden to enter." The man told her.
"Whose it from?" Talulah asked him as she took the letter.
"One Maeve Artorius." The mailman told her, which got Talulah's attention.
"And wasting no further time she opened the letter and began to read it.
Hi Tal.
It's me Maeve.
I hope you've been doing alright these past 11 years, though I doubt that's the case over at Ursus.
I... I miss you, Tal.
As such, I will be coming over to Ursus, and kill Kashchey.
You may want me to not get involved in your feud with him, but we've always had each other's back now, we'll have each other's back now.
I will do anything to get my sister back.
Meet me in a day over at Deity Grypherburg, I will be staying at Express Sadovaya Hotel.
Love and cheers.
Maeve.
Talulah stood there with conflicted feelings, while the mailman just left her.
On the one hand, she was happy that her sister was well and good, on the other hand, she was getting herself involved in a matter that shouldn't concern her.
