A fraction of the main story:

Ron got up and suddenly clutched Rupert's right fingers and gripped them hard...and before Rupert could be aware of what happened, a burst cracking sound came from Rupert's wrist joint.

My breathing hitched. Ron looked so different, so inhuman. As if something awakened inside of him.

Some cold-hearted inner-beast.

Rupert's breathing went awkward, His eyes sluggishly swept to his hands, and his facial muscles cracked with sturdy lines. The five fingers on Rupert's right hand were all folded back against the back of the hand.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh----" a piercing cry screamed out from Rupert's lungs. The pain hit him like a strong wave. He fell on the floor twisting and twitching like a fish who was forced out of the water.

Without wasting a moment Ron rode on him. His heavy fists launched on Rupert's face like rain drops. Within a minute I couldn't recognise Rupert's face anymore.

He was going to kill him at this rate.
