ANGELA's POV

All I could do was to quietly pray for my baby and I's safety. While Ben was pulling me by the wrist towards his car, the men he was with went ahead of us and opened the door for us. No! I should do something to escape before they put me inside that car!

"Ben, please, don't do this" I pleaded him but he didn't listen to me. One of the men already went inside the car and sat on the driver's seat. He even started the engine already while waiting for everybody to get in.

"Shut up, Angela. I don't want to hear anything from you. You made me into this kind of person so suck it up!" He hissed.

"Now, get in silently before I lose my patience" I stared at him. Gone was the calm, genuine and kind Ben I used to know. He looked like he was full of hatred and I couldn't understand why. If there's someone who should be mad right now, it's me and Hunter because of what they're doing to us. They wanted to pull Hunter down in the mud by destroying his company and now this; they're planning on harming me and my baby.

"Why are you doing this to me, Ben? Please, let me go" His eyes darkened and his grip on my wrist tightened which made me wince in pain.

"I told you, Angela, I don't want to hear anything from you. Just get in the car!" My temper broke.

"Damn you, Ben! I trusted you! I thought you were a good natured person and to think that I even treated you as a friend!" I yelled in so much anger. He doesn't have the right to harbor any ill feelings towards me because I was honest with him from the beginning. I never lied to him or played with his emotions.

Even the time when Hunter and I separated, I didn't hid my true feelings to him. I told him that Hunter was still the one even after all the pain he brought me. He accepted that and I was even guilty because I knew he got hurt.

He knew very well how much I love Hunter from the beginning. He even told me that he already accepted my decision of choosing to be with Hunter and I admired him because I thought he's really a good person. But now, I realized that I was wrong about him.

He was been there during those times that I was sad and angry towards Hunter and I appreciated that. Maybe I made a mistake too. I should've stayed away from him than remained friends with him. Maybe I did that, he accepted the rejection earlier without Adrien adding salt in his wound. He should've moved on from his feelings by now if I considered that option before.

Now, I wanted to regret that I met him because of what he's doing to me right now, especially to Hunter.

"You don't have the right to tell me that, Angela. You hurt me so much and this is the payment of all the pain you've caused me"

"No! You don't have the right of doing this to me, Ben, because I was always been honest with you. You clearly knew from the beginning that I love Hunter. You asked me before if we could still be friends, but you're doing this to me. A true friend would never do this to his friends!" I spat at him. His jaw flexed in anger. I could tell that he was losing his patience towards me but I didn't care anymore. I've had enough of all this!

I saw him raised his right hand and I was already expecting what's about to happen. I closed my eyes and waited for his palm to land on my cheek. But after a couple of seconds, nothing happened. I slowly opened my eyes just to be surprised when I saw Ben already on the ground while Hunter was ragingly punching him in the face.

Hunter was so furious and Ben couldn't even retaliate because he was already pinned by Hunter on the ground. Every punch was full of rage.

My hand automatically covered my mouth as I stifled my screams. I looked around me in panic, trying to see if there are people around but all I saw an unfamiliar face. He was fighting with one of Ben's me who was standing at the right side of the car a while ago and the other one was fighting the one who's on the driver seat and I didn't know why he's here. I know him because I've met him when I stayed at Juno's place before. But I didn't have the time to think about why he's here.

I quickly looked back at Hunter and Ben and I was horrified to see that Hunter was still barraging punches on Ben, who was now lying unconscious. His face was already bloody. But even if he's stull unconscious, Hunter seemed to not notice it.

"Hunter, stop it!" I shouted in horror, worried that he might kill Ben because of rage.

"Damn you, b*astard! I'm going to kill you!" I heard Hunter roar and I realized that he was really full of anger that he doesn't care what might happen to Ben. He was blinded by so much rage that he wasn't thinking straight anymore.

My eyes watered as I saw him in that kind of state. My feet moved on their own and as I wrapped my arms around him, my tears fell. My body was trembling.

"Please, stop...baby...stop" I pleaded him and when he felt me hugging him from behind, he finally stopped.

I was now sobbing softly because of all the mixed emotions that I'm feeling. The fear that I felt a while ago when I thought that Ben might succeed on getting me or hurting me, I felt scared too that Hunter wouldn't stop until he kills Ben but at the same time, I felt relieved because he rescued me on time together with the two men with him.

All those feelings were so potent that I felt vulnerable and just wanted to hug him. Wanted to be surrounded by his arms not just because I was still shaken of what happened but because of relief and happiness too. He just rescued me from Ben and his men and I felt so thankful.

Hunter heaved a sigh before he untangled my arms around him and then turned around and faced me. He cupped my face and stared at me lovingly. I could see the relief in those tantalizing orbs of his. The unparalleled rage was gone and back was the sweet and caring Hunter.

"Stop crying, Angel baby. I'm here. They can't hurt you anymore" He whispered soothingly before he kissed me on the forehead ever so gently. I closed my eyes when he kissed my tears like he was kissing those tears away. I could feel that his body was slightly trembling too.

"God! I thought we were already late. Thank God, we arrived on time" He said.

"Sorry for making you cry. I lost myself there because he tried to take you away from me. But don't worry, I'm here. I won't ever let anyone harm you or touch even a strand of your hair. I'll die first before that happens. I'll protect you" He continued full of promise before he captured my lips with a passionate kiss. All the worry and fear inside my heart instantly faded away when I felt his warm lips against mine together with the warmth of his body against mine.

This is what Hunter does to me. Just by feeling his touch and kisses or just by his mere presence beside me, always puts me at ease. Maybe because I love him so much and I know he feels the same way.

"Thank you" I said with a small smile registered on my lips after our lips parted. His eyebrows arched.

"What for?"

"For coming to my rescue and saving me from them" I answered while caressing his cheek with my thumb.

"You don't need have to thank me for that, baby, because that's my job as your boyfriend and soon to be husband" He raised his hand and dried my tears with his fingers.

"Thank God, we came on time because I wouldn't know what to do if they succeeded on kidnapping you"

"Yeah, thankfully you arrived before they could manage to take me away" I took a deep breath.

"Are you okay? Did he manage to land a punch on you" I queried and inspected his face worriedly. He chuckled.

"He almost hit me on the face but I dodged it. They weren't expecting us to arrive. Thankfully, they didn't notice us approaching that's why we caught them off guard" I kissed his cheek and then I was about to say something when someone spoke.

"Hey, Hatzis, the police are on the way" One of the men interrupted me. I looked at their direction and they have a playful smile on their lips while watching us. Ben's men were already unconscious on the ground too.

"Good, but you don't need to interrupt us because of that" Hunter said and they laughed while shaking their heads.

"I know what you're doing, man. You're just trying to pretend that you're hurt so that Ms. Beautiful here would kiss you" and they laughed again.

"Shut up you two" Hunter said with irritation and I couldn't help but to smile.

"Aren't you going to introduce her to us?" One of them asked as they approached the two of us. Hunter rolled his eyes before he started the introduction.

"Baby, these two crazy guys in front of you are Zander Montealegre and Brey Amouretti. Don't get too close to them because they have contagious disease. It's dangerous" Hunter warned and put his arm around my waist in a possessive way. I couldn't help but to laugh when Zander and Brey's mouth slacked open because of what he said.

"Me? I'm too handsome to have some kind of disease that could harm others" Brey said in a very serious tone. He even felt up his face like he was checking if everything was okay.

"Don't listen to that man if yours, sexy. He's just being a jealous boyfriend" Zander said with a smirk on his face and then extended his hand for a handshake.

"Hi, I'm Zander, it's nice to finally meet the woman behind Hunter's strange behaviors for the past months" I couldn't help but smile and was about to shake his hand when Hunter grabbed my hand away from Zander's hand and kissed it. I gaped at him, wondering what he was doing.

"I think your hurt here" he said and then pecked it again. I shook my head in disbelief. He's being impossible.

"Man, you're whipped!" Zander said amusedly while laughing and Hunter glared at him.

"And the most handsome man in front of you is Brey Amouretti. I assume that you still remember me right, Ellie?" Brey said with a smirk. Before anyone could react, he already took my hand and then kissed it.

"You son of a b*tch! How dare you kissed what's mine?!" Hunter was fuming. He was about to attack Brey when I quickly hugged him in order to prevent him from what he's planning to do.

"Will you calm down, Hunter? You're overacting!" I rebuked.

"You're siding with this guy? He kissed you, damn it!" He said, pointing at Brey who was still smirking. I knew for sure that he was deliberately trying to make Hunter mad and ragingly jealous and Hunter being the overly possessive man, he was getting pissed off much to Brey's delight.

"He just kissed my hand. You're being crazy" I gave him a look.

"Sorry to interrupt but did I hear it right, man? You know, Ms. Novell here?" Zander asked to Brey.

"Yes. We actually stayed together in one house for how many days before. Your girlfriend is a nice person. I like her" Brey was staring at Hunter while saying that. I wanted to kick his treasure because he was obviously trying to make Hunter even more jealous. I felt Hunter'' arm tightened around my waist and when I looked up at his face, I swallowed hard when I saw his eyes almost blazing with fire.

"What did you say?" He removed his arm on my waist. I saw him clenching his fists tightly. He looked at me with a questioning eyes before he looked back at Brey.

"You heard me right, hunt" Brey answered matter-of-factly while smirking. He was obviously enjoying every moment of teasing Hunter. Hunter was ragingly mad and I knew I had to intervene before he would punch Brey or something.

"Baby, will you relax? Yes. Brey is telling the truth but we're together with my friend Juno, who happened to be his girlfriend. Remember when I left you before? I went to Juno's place and that's when we met" I explained and hugged him. I saw his face softened and his fists loosened.

"I'm just messing with you, buddy" Brey was laughing so hard and I couldn't help but to shake my head.

Hunter was about to respond when the police arrived. They got our statement and after that, they took Ben and his men to the hospital but not after they handcuffed them. Two of them remained with us. They told us to go with them at the police station because Hunter said that we're going to file a case against them.

When we arrived at the police station, I was surprised to see a man waiting for us there and I learned that he was Brey's cousin when Hunter introduced us to each other. His name is Zardius Markov and he is a lawyer.

He was a very serious looking guy and he didn't even smile. The way he dressed neatly could get any woman's attention but the thing that really caught my attention was his black earing on his left ear and the tattoo on the left side of his neck. I couldn't really see what the design of the tattoo was because the major part of the tattoo was covered by his suit. He looked like a badass lawyer.

"I think I'm going to get jealous" I heard Hunter whispered at me as he tightened his arm around my waist in a possessive manner. I looked at him quizzically.

"What are you talking about?" I whispered back so that the three men who're busy talking to one another won't hear it.

"Because you've been staring at Zardius and I don't like it. Do you find him attractive?"

"Yes, he's actually handsome" I admitted and I wanted to laugh out loud when his expression changed. He looked pissed.

"Hey, what's happening to you? Since a while ago, you've been getting jealous with your friends. Don't you have confidence in yourself anymore? You don't have to get jealous, okay? You know that I'm all yours and for me, you're the handsomest man in the world" I clucked my tongue a couple of times and hugged him.

"I'm sorry. I don't know why but I get easily tick off if a man's staring at you. Sorry for being so irrational. I'm so ashamed of myself right now" I smiled at him and then hugged him.

"It's okay" He hugged me back.

"Here comes these two again. Don't make me envy the two of you because my woman isn't here" Zander said and Brey nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, quit it you two. Now, I miss my wild cat, cara mia" Brey added. Hunter looked surprised as he stared at Zander.

"What? You're still with that woman named Vanessa, Zand? I've never thought that you're going to stick with those kinds of women" Zander chuckled while shaking his head.

"Vanessa and I are over for quite sometime now"

"So you finally broke up with that nagger. Did you find someone else? Who's the new unlucky girl?" Hunter continued, teasing him.

"He got back with his ex and now he just arrived here yesterday because of a business meeting but he wants to go home already in the USA" Brey interrupted while chuckling with amusement.

"And to think that you were making fun of me when I kissed my Angel here in front of you but you two are also totally whipped

"Are you done yet? We should go in now and finish this. I still have a lot of things to do" Zardius suddenly interrupted and everybody looked at him. Zander cleared his throat and elbowed Brey, who's just next to him. Brey smirked.

"Here comes the coldest man of all. Why don't you find yourself a girlfriend? You're coldness towards other people will change for sure if that happens" Zardius glared at Brey.

"Shut up Amouretti. You know I don't do that girlfriend thing" He answered and then shifted his gaze to Hunter and me.

"Let's go in" he instructed and went ahead of us. Everybody agreed and followed him.

After we filed the case against Ben, Zardius and Brey went out ahead of us and left while Zander stayed with us while waiting for his flight. We went to a restaurant and ate lunch. It's already quarter to three. I didn't even notice the time passed by so quickly because of everything that happened.

After our lunch, Zander bid his goodbye to us and left to the airport. He told us that he wanted to go home as soon as he could because his daughter and girlfriend were expecting him to go home right away after his business meeting.

"Are you okay now, baby? Do you want me to call a doctor?" Hunter asked worriedly the moment he came out of the bathroom. He just finished showering while I on the other hand was sitting upright on the bed with my back against the oversized headboard.

I forced a smile and nodded as I continued stroking my tummy in gentle manner.

"Are you sure? You look sad" He sat on the edge of the bed and held my hand.

"I'm fine, baby. I'm just thinking why Ben became like that. It saddens me actually" I admitted and then heaved a sigh. He lifted my hand and kissed it.

"Don't think about that b*astard because he doesn't deserve it. He's nothing but a sore loser who doesn't know how to value a friendship"

"I feel sorry for Ben's mother. He's the only one who supports her mother financially. She's sick. Ben didn't even think about his mother's welfare before doing something like this" he started at me adoringly.

"You're really such a wonderful woman, you know that? Even after what Ben did to you, you still feel that way"

"His mother didn't do anything bad" I said and leaned my head on his shoulder. He stroked my hair with his hand.

"Okay. I'll see what I can do to help his mother so quit thinking too much about it, okay?" I hugged him happy.

"Thank you, baby. You're really the best" He chuckled and kissed my head. We stayed like that for a couple of seconds before he spoke again.

"About Adrien...he's already in jail" I lifted up my head and looked at him in shock.

"How did that happen?"

"The police arrested one of his men because I they caught him spying on me in HGC. He was in the mood to talk and told us that they were planning to kidnap you in order to get back at me so we had to the device a plan with the police to stop them. Adrien was under surveillance for a couple of days and last night, the police caught him having an illegal transaction with illegal businessmen. Apparently, aside from managing their company, he was doing business in the black market too. He's selling illegal firearms and explosives" My mouth hang open because of what I've heard.

I couldn't believe that Adrien could do that.

"Enough of thinking about them, baby. Do you want me to play you a song so that you can relax?" He went out of our room and after a minute or two, he came back with a guitar. My eyebrows arched when he began tapping with its strings.

"I didn't know you could play guitar" He smiled.

"It's been a while for me" Then he started playing a very familiar song. When you say nothing at all. I just watched him in awe as he played the guitar while looking at me lovingly. He was singing along with the music and I couldn't be happier.

When he finished, he put the guitar down on the floor and faced me.

"Everything's okay now, baby. We can finally live in peace" He cupped my face and stared intently into my eyes full of love.

"Now that everything's falling into place, I think this is the right time for me to do this" My eyes widened when he suddenly knelt down on his knee on the floor while still holding my hand.

"W-What are you doing?" He didn't answer right away. But when he finally spoke, I wanted to shout for joy when I heard his question. I've been waiting for it and now, he's finally asking me. When he finally brought out a red velvet box and then opened it, I got teary eyed.

"Will you marry me, Miss Angelique Novell?" As a response, I leaned over and kissed him on the lips with all the love I have for him.
