HUNTER's POV

"I think this is the first time that you hugged me after a long time, Hunt" My father's voice made me snapped out of my thoughts. I couldn't help but to chuckle of what he said. He's right. I could still remember the last time that I hugged him and it was the last time my parents celebrated their last anniversary before they got divorced.

Since they got divorced, I felt like my relationship with him became distant. Even my sisters, they blamed him for making our mother cry all the time. Yes, I admit, I harbored resentment towards him because of what happened to their marriage. I always see my mother cry even though she tried her hardest not to show it to us. I blamed him about all that but when I grew up, I realized that it couldn't be helped. They didn't love each other since the very beginning because they were forced to marry each other by their parents. It was all like a business deal.

Even though we treated him coldly sometimes, he never allowed us to distance ourselves from him. I knew he's the kind of man who prefers to show his love by doing something behind our back contrast to whatever he was saying in front of us.

But because of what's been happening lately, I forgot that my father was the kind of man who does everything in order to get what he wants but he never did once do anything where people could be hurt. Yes, he's cold and doesn't show emotion most of the time but I knew deep in my heart that he's a good man. Just like what he did to Tiffany.

I learned that he didn't help her when she got into jail because he already sent his PI in order to investigate what really happened and he learned that Tiffany was the one at fault. He disowned her in the fit of rage but when I visited Tiffany the other day, she informed me that our father was visiting her and already forgave her.

She's now regretting everything that she did in the past and willing to pay for all her since in jail. I was happy to learn too that her boyfriend, Richard, was willing to wait for her until she goes out of jail because he loves her. I didn't know that after all what Tiffany have done to him, Richard remained by her side.

Now, even though what happened to our family was kinda unfortunate, there's always a reason for us to smile and be happy.

"Thank you, papa" I said with all the gratitude. I felt him tapped my back.

"You have nothing to thank to me about. I did all that because I love you and your sisters so much. You are my life and I would do anything for the three of you. I should be the one who should apologize to the three of you because I let you distanced yourselves from me. I didn't show enough support and affection towards you. I just catered all the bitterness that I was feeling back then that I forgot about you all. I hope you forgive me for all my shortcomings" I could see how much he regrets everything and that's enough for me to forgive him.

"Everything's cool, papa. It's all in the past now. I already forgave you" His eyes watered as he turned emotional but happy at the same time. At last, after how many years, I felt like the missing part in my heart finally returned and it became whole again.

I couldn't help but to smirk when I saw the shock expression on their faces when they saw me in front of them. I should've known that they were plotting something behind my back this whole time and who would've have thought that even the so called friend of Angela would help in order to bring me down.

"Surprise?" I sarcastically asked them. They just came out of Da Silva Incorporated building and this company was the number one competitor of our company from long time ago because we're both into technology industry. Both of our companies were producing different gadgets such as cellphones, laptops and other gadgets that could be found in the market nowadays.

But the one thing that we have that they doesn't have is our company provides excellent service when it comes to hacking and other internet service that our clients need. Almost everything in this particular service of our company was provided only for the government and other agencies. If they need our assistant, we provide them our help.

Our company has a lot of excellent people behind this service of ours and even though it was a top secret to the public, we receive big amount of money which is double in amount compare to our earnings in producing gadgets.

The stepfather of the man in front of me right now was an acquaintance of mine and were on good terms even though we were rivals. But when Mr. Da Silva died, his step-son inherited the company alone because his only son was still missing until now.

I just knew that even though he wasn't the real father of his step-son, he gave him his name when he remarried and considered him as his real son.

But according to rumors, he wasn't in good terms with his step-son that's why his step-son never used Da Silva as his surname. But when the old Da Silva died, he started using Da Silva as his surname.

Now, his step-son was using Mr. Da Silva's wealth in doing something fishy.

"What are you doing in front of my company?" He asked thought gritted teeth. He looked alarmed even though he was trying his hardest to look tough in front of me. I looked at the man next to him and he has the same expression on his face too. The nerve of these two! Bastards!

"I came here because I want to especially deliver the good news to you, Mr. Da Silva. I knew you used all the information you got from our company in your company's benefits but that's the first and last time you could do that to us again because we're going to take this to court. You stole our latest data regarding our marketing strategy and product development so you should pay all that in jail" His eyes bulged for a second before his face contorted in anger.

"You don't have an evidence that we stole those information from your company! How could we do that?! We don't even have----"

"Stop all the b*llshits, Mr. Adrien Da Silva. We have all the proof so you should ready yourself" I said then looked at the man behind him. Ben.

"I didn't know that you're this loser, Ben. You should've known better than to work with him in order to get back at me just because Angela chose to be with me than to either one of you!" Ben's face was void with any emotion and he didn't say anything for a couple of seconds.

But when he opened his mouth, I was surprised of what came out of his mouth.

"Don't be too cocky, Mr. Hatzis. You haven't seen everything yet so be careful" He said while smirking before he turned his back and left. Adrien was about to go to his car when he stopped and looked at me.

"You know what? You just wasted your time of being here. If I were you, go home" He said with a glint of evilness in his eyes before he went inside his car and drove off.

My jaw tightened in anger. I still couldn't believe that Angela's ex-boyfriend and ex-friend were working together now against us and plotting their revenge. But for what? We didn't do anything to them. Then what Adrien said before he left replayed in my head. Fear suddenly crept throughout my whole being. Damn you bastards! I won't ever let you touch even the tip of Angela's nails! If you hurt her in anyway, I'll kill you!

I quickly got in my car and drove off from there in a fast speed. Just thinking that they did something to hurt Angela was making me want to fly in a fit of anger. If only I had wings so that I could fly to her but there's no sense of wishing for the impossible now.

I didn't care if I was now pass the speed limit because my priority was to get home to Angela as soon as possible.

When I arrived home, I didn't even park the car properly before I went out of it because of the intense fear in my chest.

When I reached inside the house, I almost sighed in relief when I saw her sitting on the couch while reading a book. She was so engrossed of reading that she didn't even notice me arriving.

Before I could stop myself, I rushed to her and enveloped her into a tight embrace which caused for the book she was holding to fall on the floor.

"What's happening to you? I thought you're going to finish your work at the office at 5 pm?" She asked me confusedly. I pulled away from our embrace and cupped her face.

"Are you okay?" She frowned.

"Of course. I am okay. I'm even bored because I'm just staying here the whole day and doing nothing. Why do you look like that? You look restless and scared" She touched my cheeks worriedly and then pecked me on the lips ever so gently.

"Smile. You don't have anything to worry about, okay? Our baby and I are fine. Now, can I see that smile, baby?" I couldn't help but to smile because of her soothing voice. Her warm smile and touch made all the negative feelings inside of me instantly disappeared. Maybe I was just being paranoid because of what that guy told me.

But I must be careful of dealing with my enemies and making a mistake is not acceptable. I've had enough of all the people who're trying to hinder my happiness, our happiness. This time, I will do anything I can in order to achieve success.

"You never ceases to amaze me, Angel baby. Even when I feel down and lost, just hearing your sweet voice and seeing you smile is enough for me to calm. How do you even do that to me, huh?" She grinned.

"Hmmm...Those are my effect on you because you love me?" I chuckled and pulled her closer to me again.

"You know me very well, baby" I whispered and kissed the tip of her nose. She entangled her arms around my neck and then tiptoed to give me a kiss which I a gladly accepted and reciprocated.

Being in her arms like this is incomparable and I knew I could do anything in order to protect her. I could even die for her. That's how much I love her.

ANGELA's POV

It's been three days since that day when Hunter came home with panic and fear evident on his face. I knew something happened that made him to act like that but I managed to assure him that he has nothing to worry about me and our baby.

It's all I could do because he doesn't want me to go out often now and I know it's not just because of my pregnancy.

Now, he's busy fixing all the problems in their company. He told me everything that they've discovered and it was quite shocking to know that the one who tried to destroy HGC has been a close friend of Hunter's father. I couldn't believe too that even Adrien was involved in this mess too. I thought he already changed but he's still the same Adrien I used to know. Even Ben whom I considered my friend, I couldn't believe that he would accept Adrien's money either and take part of bringing HGC down.

I heaved a sigh and tried my hardest not to get stress out because of them. I stood up from my chair and was planning on going inside my room when I heard the doorbell chimed. Then I heard Ana opened the door. I looked at the time and my eyebrows creased because it's still 10: 40 am and it's still early for Hunter to come home.

I was also expecting Sheena and Apollo today because Ana, their mother, told me that they would be coming this afternoon to visit me. They wanted to talk to me about something. I knew they were guilty of what happened before and wanted to apologize to me.

Then to my surprise, I heard Ana screamed. My eyes widened and I suddenly felt alarmed. I quickly went down while trying my best to be careful while descending on the stairs. When I arrived downstairs, I was rooted on my feet when I saw what was happening. Ben and two men were there while Ana was on the floor and unconscious.

"Ana!" I called her but she wasn't responding. I heard Ben chuckle. I glared at him.

"What did you do to her, Ben?!"

"Don't worry. I just knocked her unconscious. Now, I want you to come with us" He instructed like it was nothing. I shook my head vigorously and took a step backwards. Running was the first thing that came to my mind but it was impossible. Running with my state right now would surely hurt my baby inside me. My due date is near and I must not do anything impulsive which could cause the life of the baby inside me.

"Why are you doing this, Ben? I thought we're friends?" He shook his head and then smirked at me.

"You're asking me why I'm doing this? Then let me tell you. I'm doing this because I can't accept the fact that you still chose to be with that b*stard than being with me, who did nothing but to love and protect you! I want to show you how we destroy the man you love in front of you"

"What do you mean by that?" He chuckled again before he sat on the arm of the couch nest to him, like everything's normal around us.

"You know, it's not just me who's aiming for revenge, you know?" I couldn't help but to chuckle humorlessly of his question.

"Of course, I know about it. You and Adrien are accomplice and you're trying to pull Hunter down but you will never succeed. Hunter is a tough man and wise at that. The likes of you will never succeed on destroying him!" His eyes darkened and then stood up.

"I thought you're a nice man, Ben, but I was wrong. You're a sore loser like Adrien who doesn't know how to accept defeat like a real man! Hunter didn't do anything bad to you and you know that!" Lots of emotions filled his eyes but it was just for a second. Then I saw the raw anger in them. He started walking towards me and all I wanted to do was to get out of there as fast as I could.

But I couldn't do anything when he gripped my arm and then pulled me towards him. I met his gaze with equal anger.

"I don't care about being nice anymore. I've already gone this far and I am willing to finish this in order to teach Hunter a lesson for mocking me and stealing you away from me! Now, I want you to come with me willingly or I'm going to do something that you don't want" He threatened and my body shivered coldly when he looked at my stomach like he was planning something bad to my baby.

When he pulled me towards the door, I didn't have a choice than to go along with him because I knew he would hurt me the moment I resist.

Please, somebody help me!
