Chapter Sixty Seven

Caden's POV

I still had a lot of questions in my head to ask her. Like, why she never cared to tell me or, why she never told anyone at all. It was all so confusing. I mean, who gets mistaken for somebody else and doesn't speak up? I guessed!

She!

"Caden! - Caden?"

"Uh, yeah?" I spoke up, snapping out of my thoughts.

"You've been staring at your plate since you called me down here with that expressionless face of yours. Is anything wrong?" she asked with a worried look.

"Yeah. A lot of things. I don't know you! And - neither do I understand you!" I cried out.

"Ugh!" she rolled her eyes. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Care to say more?" I raised a brow.

"Okay. Fine. I am Arabella Leah Allegra. I'm a girl - obviously. Kind heartedish, beautiful, weird, definitely not from here. Not this country either. I grew up in London and moved to America just after my father - left us," she lowered her head and let out a sigh. "Anyway, I was formally in New York. There you have it. I was on my way to my university and all of a sudden I couldn't find my bags and then your weird side kick Adrian appeared and started hurrying me to go. At first I doubted. I even asked him who  Mercedes is but he just ignored me and pulled me anyway. Let's say technically, its his fault."

"His fault? Are you being serious right now?"

"Yeah! Did you not hear the story?"

"Eh- let's just say I'm still processing things right now," I smiled.

"Okay processor," she sighed and we both chuckled. "Back to my story. He grabbed me and led me all the way to the airplane. Then I realized it was a first class flight and - "

"Aha! There I got you!" I interrupted with a triumphant smirk.

"Uh - you got who now?" she asked.

"You! I mean, you didn't get a first class appointment, right?"

"I didn't even have a source back home," she cleared.

"Then why in the world would you ever not think anything is wrong in a first class flight?"

"Princess Caden, you seem to be forgetting some real life facts and it's seriously bothering me. Who in this world would want to miss a first class flight? Are you kidding me?"

"Good point. But  a responsible human being wouldn't think it wise," I pointed out with a shrug.

"Would they? You're just saying that because you can have it anytime you want. I mean, dude! Have you tasted their bread? Its like they bake it in the plane. Its so - "

"Hot!" I interrupted.

"And sweet -"

"And soft - "

"and nice - "

"And beautiful - "

"So, you can't blame me. Rather, blame Adrian," she cut off with a curled lip.

"Whatever. I get you.... I think." I shrugged and finished up the food.

"So, you've got any family members?"

"Is that meant to be an insult? Yeah, I do. I've got my mum, step dad and lil sister,"

"YOU have a little sister?" I exploded in laughter.

"Yeah I do," She snapped.

"And you're this annoying? Babe, girls with little sisters are supposed to be twice as nice but you are thrice as wicked, sassy, annoying and ANNOYING!"

"First, please don't call me babe,"

"And don't call me princess!"

"But it's so cute," she replied, pouting. "And it suits you perfectly. Like - little princess Caden. What do you think?"

"I think you're insane. Like, Harley insane!" I replied with a weird look.

"Oof! I love that movie!" she trilled with a smile.

"Yeah, but you don't have to imitate the characters, Quinn!" I rolled my eyes.

"Come on, I'm not that bad,"

"You're worse!"

"Its like you haven't even met yourself," She snorted.

"I have and I'm a lot better," I replied and the table grew awkwardly silent all of a sudden, but for the sounds of the cutlery against the plate.

"I've been meaning to ask you something..." I trailed off, looking up at her.

"I'm all ears, Caden," she replied.

Damn! The way she said my name...

"Uh - You've met Cameron, right? What exactly - you know...happened?"

"What do you mean what happened? What's supposed to happen?" she asked.

"With you and him. Did anything abnormal happen, like a kinda... How do I put it - erm, like...." I trailed off.

"Sex?" she spat straightforwardly, raising a brow.

"I wouldn't have spat it out so openly but am I glad you did!" I crooned and held my chest, letting out a deep sigh.

"You're so hilarious. And, no. Nothing happened, unfortunately." she replied.

"What do you mean unfortunately?" I fired immediately.

"Just kidding. I couldn't lose myself to him. He was actually Mercedes's before I came into the picture and he still thought I was, so he expected me to like actually do what she does," she replied.

"Oh, I see." I nodded. "So, why didn't you do it?"

"Are you not hearing me at all? I just said I didn't want to lose myself to him!" she snarled angrily.

I exploded in laughter, so hard I choked. Immediately, I ran into the sink and gulped down a handful of water, coughing hardly and laughing at the same time.

Oh. My. God.

"Are you alright?" she asked, patting my back.

I kept laughing and coughing at the same time. God, that girl.

I finally cleared out whatever that was and we returned to the table. I still chuckled while she death glared.

"And what's so funny this time?" she asked.

"You! I mean, you're a virgin?"

"And I don't see how that is comedy. Like, come on!" she rolled her eyes.

"Let's see. How old are you?" I asked, raising a brow.

"Gonna be twenty tomorrow!" she replied happily.

"Well, congrats, babe!"

"Thanks, princess!" she replied and we both burst out laughing.

"Can't you find a better pet name?" I sorta mumbled.

"What was that?" she asked.

"Oh, nothing." I shrugged. "As I was saying, you had the whole of junior high and Senior high to make out with a dude and you didn't?" I asked.

"Why would I? The hottest dude had a girlfriend who was always out to get me!" she replied.

"Oh, so you were the nerd?"

"Uh, I don't go to parties, nor anything party related and I read a lot. Not too much friends.. None at all. So, I guess you can call me that,"

"A really hot one!" I muttered.

"What was that?"

"Nothing," I immediately snapped.

"Are you done with the interrogation? I need to borrow a laptop," she said and stood up.

"For what?" I asked, standing too.

"Check out and apply for the second batch of students for my uni,"

"That started almost a week ago. I think,"

"Yeah, I know but I made a reservation earlier so who knows?" she lifted her shoulder in a shrug.

"Okay. There's one in my study. Top right of the first cupboard,"

"K, thanks." she smiled and went off upstairs.

I picked up my phone to call Adrian. I had so much work to do.

Author's Note.

Thank you so much for reading this chapter. It means a whole lot to me. Don't forget to vote and comment.

So, what do you think?

I know I made her getting out of jail a bit early but trust me, I did it for the right reasons. You'll see.

Much Love, Pauly Queen.
