Remember Who You Are

He takes her hands and holds them right in front of her eyes. Her palms are covered in blood. So much blood.

Sebastian: Do you see it now? His blood is on your hands!

Lois screams out and falls out of the chair. Sebastian wakes up when he hears her scream. Despite his injured leg, he jumps out of bed and walks with a limp to her, hugging her shoulders.

Sebastian: What happened to you, Lois? Are you all right?

Lois: I killed him.

Sebastian: What?

At that moment, Jared and Chloe enter the room and run up beside Lois.

Jared: What happened?

Chloe: Lois?

Lois' broken voice comes out of her mouth with difficulty.

Lois: Blood. On my hands. His blood on my hands. It was my fault. It's all my fault. I killed him.

And she faints.

Sebastian: Lois? No!

Sebastian tries to lift her up, but Jared tries to stop him.

Jared: Not you. Let me handle this.

Sebastian then stands up, stares at Jared, and shoves him, baring his teeth.

Sebastian: Don't touch her. She's mine!

Jared looks at his friend, not believing what just happened. Various thoughts run through his head in a flat second and in the end, he decides what to do.

From the beginning, Jared has been sure that the doctor is full of crap and that the only way Sebastian will get better is if someone awakens the wolf in him. And that someone is none other than himself.

Only a beta can provoke his alpha.

So, without wasting any more time and with bared teeth, he pushes Sebastian back and screams in his face.

Jared: Easy, Wolf. She's all yours. I'm not trying to take her away from you. I'm just trying to help. You wounded, asshole.

Sebastian steps back, a little confused, holding his head and Chloe gets in the way.

Chloe: What the hell are you doing, Jared? The doctor said...

Jared: Stay out of this, Chloe. I know what I'm doing.

Sebastian steps closer to Jared.

Sebastian: Why did you call me that?

Jared: Because that's what I have always called you. Because that's what you are. You are a wolf. Wake up! Remember! Remember who you are!

Remember who you are! Those words bring the pain back into Sebastian's head, but they also bring something else. Something strange and really scary.

A wolf appears in his head. A wolf in a cage.

The wolf growls, bares its teeth, and speaks in a human voice.

"Get me out of here! Get me out of here! " He shouts.

"I am a wolf. I cannot live in a cage. Break the bars, Sebastian, and set me free! "

This time the pain is stronger and Sebastian can't stand it. His legs can no longer support his weight and his knees buckle. He falls, but Jared is there to catch him at the last minute.

Jared: No, damn it!

Chloe: I told you, Jared.

Jared: Save your breath and help me get him to bed. We need to help Lois, too.

Chloe grabs Sebastian's legs and together with Jared, they carry him to bed. Immediately they run to Lois, who fortunately wakes up on her own. When she opens her eyes, she sees Jared and Chloe standing over her, looking at her worriedly.

Lois: What happened?

Jared: You had a nightmare and passed out.

Lois: Sebastian? Where's Sebastian?

Chloe: In bed.

Lois looks over and sees Sebastian turned on his side, trying to keep his eyes open because he's in pain. He reaches out to her and forms a few words with great effort.

Sebastian: Help me, Lois.

Lois jumps up and runs to him. The effort he is making to fight the pain is written all over his face. She brushes the wet hair out of his eyes.

Lois: Hang in there, Sebastian. I'm right here.

Sebastian: Help me, Lois. I don't know why, but I'm sure you are the only one who can.

Lois: Tell me what you want. Tell me and I'll do it.

Sebastian: The wolf, Lois. You have to release the wo...

Sebastian doesn't finish his sentence because he's losing consciousness from the pain and strain.

Lois: Sebastian? Sebastian? No, goddamn it! What the hell? Who told him? Who told him about the wolf?

Lois turns and looks at Jared.

Lois: What did you do, Jay-Jay?

Jared: I opened the way, Doll. Now you have to bring him back. You heard what he said. I just woke the wolf. Now you have to free him.

Lois: I swear, Jared... If anything bad happens to him, I will kill you.

Jared: Nothing bad will happen to him. It's not easy to kill a wolf, Doll.

Lois: Chloe, take him out, because I don't know what else will happen.

Chloe: I'm sorry, Lois.

Chloe takes Jared's hand, but he has more to say.

Jared: Bring him back, Lois. Only you can do that. Don't listen to the doctor's ramblings. Release the wolf. Save him, Lois. Save my friend.

Chloe: Come on, let us go.

Chloe pulls him out of the room, leaving Lois alone with Sebastian. She looks at Sebastian.

Lois: I will, Jared. Even if it's the last thing I do.

She looks at the clock and thanks God that the necessary hours have passed for Sebastian to get a painkiller. With no time to waste, she runs to get one of the painkilling injections. The doctor has administered them for cases like this. When the pain is severe and needs to stop quickly.

With determined movements, she pulls down his trousers, rips the clasp open with her teeth, and plunges the needle into his hip to deliver the powerful drug into his body.

~ INSIDE SEBASTIAN's MIND ~

Sebastian walks limping through the forest. He wanders, not knowing where he is going or what he is fleeing from.

He runs and runs and runs, looking for something, but he can't remember what. Suddenly he trips over something, falls down and lands face down on the ground. So sad and frustrated, he can't take it anymore and bursts into tears.

Sebastian: That's enough now! Enough! I can't take it anymore. I can't live like this. Not like this.

A voice he doesn't recognize makes him lift his head.

There is a man standing in front of him. A man of the same age and similar appearance as Sebastian. He looks at him in shock as a tear runs down his cheek.

Unknown man: I'm disappointed, Puppy. Is this what I taught you? That you give up at the first sign of trouble?

Sebastian gets up, limps, and leans against the nearest tree. The unknown man doesn't move from the spot, though his desire to help Sebastian is obvious.

Sebastian: Who are you? What are you talking about? I don't know you.

Unknown man: You know me, Puppy.

Sebastian: Why do you call me that?

Unknown man: I've always called you that. Ever since you were in your mother's womb.

Sebastian: What the hell are you talking about? Who are you, man?

Unknown man: My name is Damon. Damon Jones.

Sebastian: Jones? How is that possible? I was told my last name was Jones.

Damon Jones: That makes sense, because I am your father.

Sebastian: My father? No. You are lying. My best friend told me that my father died when I was sixteen. How can you be my father?

Damon Jones: This is a dream, son, and in dreams, anything is possible.

Sebastian: Am I dreaming?

Damon Jones: Yes.

Sebastian: I don't remember you.

Damon Jones: That's all right. You'll remember.

Sebastian: How? They all tell me the same thing, but I can't. As hard as I try, I can't remember.

Damon Jones: That's why I'm here, son.

Sebastian: Will you help me remember?

Damon Jones: No, but I will tell you how to do it. I will tell you how to free the wolf.

Sebastian: How?

Damon Jones: Deep down, you already know. You know who can help you. You have already told her.

Sebastian: You are talking about Lois, aren't you?

Damon Jones: That's right.

Sebastian: She's not just my nurse, right?

Damon Jones: That's right.

Sebastian: I knew it! But how? I mean, what am I supposed to do?

Damon Jones: The mind can forget, son, but the body never can.

Sebastian: You mean...?

Damon Jones smiles.

Damon Jones: Yes. That's what I mean. You must unite with her. Become one with her. Let her breakthrough the bars. Only she can do that.

Sebastian: Why are you smiling?

Damon Jones: Because you and I have never had the opportunity to have this conversation. That's too bad.

Sebastian: I don't remember it, but if you say so, it's really too bad.

Damon Jones: Whatever. It's getting late. It's time for you to wake up.

Sebastian: Yeah, but...

Damon Jones: But what?

Sebastian: Will I ever see you again? Will you ever come back in my dream?

Damon Jones: Don't worry about it, Puppy. If you need me again, I'll be here.

Sebastian: Can I give you a hug?

Damon Jones, without speaking, opens his arms and Sebastian, dragging his wounded leg, comes up to him and hugs him tightly.

Sebastian: Thank you, Papa. I may not remember this, but I'm sure I missed you a lot.

Damon Jones: I missed you too, son. You can't imagine how much.

Sebastian: Goodbye, Papa.

Damon Jones: Goodbye, son.

Sebastian: And next time, don't forget to bring Mama.

Damon Jones: I won't. Go now. Don't keep her waiting any longer. Wake up!

*

Sebastian opens his eyes and Lois is standing there looking at him with her beautiful eyes full of concern.

Lois: You finally woke up. I was starting to worry about you... I mean, you went into a sleep state and I was scared because I don't have the medical expertise. You understand that, don't you?

Sebastian thinks, how is it possible that the others think he would fall for that? How is it possible that they think he would ever believe that this woman is just a random nurse who came to take care of an unknown man?

From the first moment he saw her, he knew immediately. His mind might not remember, but his heart, his soul, his body knew this woman was something big. Something extraordinary. Something vital to him.

Even as she treated him. No matter how hard she tried to hide it, her touch... The way she touched him told the truth.

Sebastian shakes his head and blinks a few times to get rid of the last remnants of pain in his head. Lois leans over and places her hand on his forehead.

Lois: Are you still in pain? And why is that? I gave you the shot. The pain had to go away.

Sebastian: Don't worry about it. I'll be fine. I just want some water. Can you do that?

Lois: Yes, of course. Right away.

Lois gets up and goes to the small refrigerator in the corner of the room that they have temporarily placed there while Sebastian remains in bed. She fills a glass of water and returns to bed.

Sebastian looks at her, trying to find a way to approach her, to do what his father told him to do in his dream.

She sits down next to him and raises the glass to his lips.

Lois: Come on, Sebastian. Drink up.

He puts his hand on hers and drinks the water with relish. When it's empty, she sets the glass on the nightstand.

Lois: Are you all right now? Would you like anything else?

Sebastian: Yes, I would like something.

Lois: What?

Sebastian: A little foot massage. Can you do that?

Lois: Sure.

Sebastian: Thank you.

Lois: Don't mention it. It's part of my duty. It's my job.

Sebastian: Right.

He looks at her and smiles as she sits down on the edge of the bed, puts his leg on her lap and starts rubbing his foot.

Sebastian: Do you want to talk a little?

Lois: Yeah. What would you like to talk about?

Sebastian: What happened to you earlier?

He feels her body tense up.

Lois: A nightmare.

Sebastian: What did you see?

Lois: I can't remember.

Sebastian: You said something about blood on your hands. Whose blood?

Lois: I don't know.

Sebastian: You said it was your fault. And what was that?

Lois: Sebastian, please stop asking me. I can't... Please!

Lois is about to break and tell him everything. She's about to fall at his feet and beg for forgiveness. She's ready to beg him. But she shouldn't. She puts his foot down and gets up from the bed.

Lois: It will be light in a few hours. You should be asleep.

Sebastian aches to see her like this. He doesn't like putting her in such a difficult position, but there is no other solution.

Sebastian: Who are you, Lois?

She turns and looks at him.

Lois: I am your nurse.

Sebastian: No.

Lois: Then who am I?

Sebastian: You are a woman I have held naked in my arms.

Lois: No.

Sebastian: I touched your body.

Lois: No.

Sebastian: I kissed you on the lips.

Lois: No.

Sebastian: I had sex with you.

Lois: No.

Sebastian: I heard your voice saying you loved me.

Lois: No.

Sebastian: You are a woman who belongs to me.

Lois is about to break down.

Lois: Sebastian, please! You are mistaken. None of this happened. I am just your nurse.

But Sebastian will not give up.

Sebastian: If that's true... If you are just my nurse, then how do you explain that ever since I woke up, I felt like I was missing something, and as soon as I saw you everything changed.

Lois: What happened when you saw me?

Sebastian: I felt whole again. I felt like you completed me. Like a missing piece of me had just come together, and that piece was you.

Lois: You are confused. Your mind...

Sebastian: Prove it. Prove me wrong and I'll stop.

Lois: How?

Sebastian: Let me kiss you again. Let me touch you. Have sex with me.

Not knowing what else to say or do, Lois turns on her heel and runs into the bathroom, closing the door behind her and leaning her back against it.

Her head is a complete mess. What is she supposed to do now? Follow the doctor's orders and refuse?

Her body aches. It begs for his touch.

What if the doctor is wrong? What if what Jared said before was right? What if her refusal to give him answers is doing him more harm than good? What if her agreeing to have sex with him can help him remember? What if this was the only way to free the wolf?

What had Jace said to her? The mind can forget, but the body never does.

Jace knows. That's how he saved Mary. What was it that brought her back? His kiss. True love's kiss. And if that kiss is capable of beating death, can't it also cure fucking amnesia?

A few knocks on the door make her turn and place her hands on it. Sebastian, who has gotten out of bed and is now standing behind the closed door, starts talking to her again in a pleading voice.

Sebastian: Lois, please open the door. I am sorry, Lois. I shouldn't have asked you to do this, but I have no choice. I'm begging you, Lois. Come out. I need you. Help me. I can't live like this anymore. I can't live like this anymore. I want to remember. I need to remember. I need to remember you.

To hell! To hell with the dos and don'ts! To hell with the doctor and his stupid orders! To hell with everyone else!

Lois would throw herself into a fire to help him remember. How could she deny him his request?

With a determined move, Lois opens the door and stands in front of him.

Lois: Stop begging, Sebastian. It's not like you. You never beg. You command.

Sebastian: Lois...

Lois: No more lies. You are right. I'm not your nurse.

Sebastian: And who are you?

Lois: I am... here, and I am yours. Take me. Take me in your hands and do whatever you want. Use me to remember, because I can't live in a world where you don't remember me.

Sebastian shifts all his weight onto his good leg, takes the few steps that separate them, and presses his mouth to hers.

His tongue parts her lips and enters her mouth. It tangles in her mouth. It tickles the roof of her mouth. Caresses her teeth. The kiss is slow and full of passion. It is his own kiss. His kiss that, like every time, Lois can't remember whose air she's breathing.

She wraps her arms around his neck and deepens the kiss even more. She sighs into his mouth as her whole body vibrates, taking away the oxygen she's been missing all these days.

As for Sebastian...

His mind is completely blank. All there is there is the wolf. The wolf in the cage.

The pain in his head returns as the wolf starts banging his head against the bars of the cage, screaming.

"Get me out of here! Set me free! Break the bars! "

But pain is not the only thing that comes back. Scattered memories invade his mind, like a movie.

It works. Faces and events pop up. Jumbles. Joys and sorrows. Delights and fears. Pleasures and torments.

Sebastian sees himself as a baby, a toddler, a child, and a teenager. His parents. He knows now that the man in his dream was really his father. And Jared. Always beside him. His best friend. His Jay. His Beta. And after him, Simon. His savior. His mentor. His second father. The Dragon.

Suddenly, the memories stop. What the hell? Why is this happening now?

The wolf in the cage screams again.

"Don't stop now. Do what your father told you to do. You must unite with her. Become one with her. Let her breakthrough the bars. Only she can do that."

The pain intensifies, but Sebastian doesn't let up. He pushes and, throws her into the bed. He walks up to her and kisses her again and again and again.

His body tenses. His muscles stiffen. His head is about to explode, but he grits his teeth. He has to hold out. He can't stop now. Lois senses his suffering.

Lois: Sebastian, are you all right? We'd better stop.

The wolf in his head tries to break free, banging his head even harder against the bars, but he can't!

Sebastian: No. Please, no. Don't stop.

She strips off the clothes that get between them and opens her legs. He slips inside her.

Lois: But you are suffering.

The kitten backs away, frightened, and the wolf howls again.

Sebastian: No. No. Don't stop.

The kitten hisses determinedly and lunges at the wolf again. She scratches violently at the bars of the cage. The wolf howls, encouraging the kitten.

Lois: Sebastian...?

Sebastian: Just a little bit more. Just a little bit more. Don't stop.

Lois: Never. Come back here, Sebastian. Come back to me!

A crackling on the iron. The kitten scratches at the bars. Another crack. The wolf howls. Another crack. And another. And another. And the cage breaks into a million pieces!

The wolf is free. It's all there! It's all there! He remembers everything!

Sebastian screams, holding his head, and collapses on top of Lois, who hugs him tightly.

They lie there like that. Neither of them moves. And the time flies by.

The silence is broken by the tired but happy voice of Sebastian.

Sebastian: Kitten...?

Lois opens her eyes, not trusting her ears.

Lois: What did you call me?

A tired laugh comes out of his mouth.

Sebastian: What I used to call you. Kitten.

Lois pushes him and slides out from under him. She gets up on the bed.

Lois: You remember?

Sebastian lifts his torso and takes her hand, smiling broadly.

Sebastian: Everything, baby. I remember everything. You did it, Kitten. You did it. Your body gave me back my memories.

With a joyful cry, Lois falls on top of him and laughs out loud.

Lois: I can't believe it! Oh, my God! It's a miracle!

Sebastian, also laughing, strokes her hair.

Sebastian: Yeah, baby. It's a miracle. You. You are my miracle. I love you, Kitten.

Lois: Say that again.

Sebastian: I love you, Kitten. I love you. I love you.

Lois' joy is indescribable. She holds him tightly in her arms and can't believe the blessing... The miracle that God has blessed her with.

Lois: I love you, too. If you only knew how much I love you. My Wolf. And now that you remember, I want to apologize.

Sebastian: Apologize? For what?

Lois: For everything. For the accident. The helmet. If I wasn't so stubborn... Forgive me, Sebastian, and I promise that from now on I will blindly follow anything you tell me.

Sebastian: Hmm... That last one is fine. Keep it. As for the rest... Forget about them. You have no reason to apologize to me.

Lois: But you hit your head trying to protect mine.

Sebastian: And I will do it again. I will always protect you with my life, but to tell you the truth, I don't remember the accident. I remember everything but that.

Lois: That's better.

Sebastian: No. I need to find out who that bastard was that hit us and kill him with my bare hands. He dared to hurt you.

Lois: We will find him. Jace assigned it to someone. I don't know the details. They'll tell us tomorrow. Now, tell me, how are you feeling? Does your head still hurt?

Sebastian: Like hell, but it's fine. I can handle it.

Lois: My brave Wolf. I'll get you a painkiller.

Sebastian: You mean a pill, don't you?

Lois: Yes, but why do you ask?

Sebastian: Because my butt still hurts from the shot you gave me. You need practice with the needle, Kitten.

Lois: Jerk!

Lois hits him with the pillow, and Sebastian laughs out loud. But his laughter is cut short when she gets out of bed and goes to the closet.

Sebastian: Wow! Wow! What are you doing?

Lois: I'm getting dressed. Dah!

Sebastian: Oh, no! No, no, no! Don't you dare put clothes on.

Lois: And what should I wear?

Sebastian: But your uniform, of course, Sister Lois.

Lois, hands on hips, raises an eyebrow.

Lois: You are kidding, right?

Sebastian, with a completely innocent smile on his face...

Sebastian: No. Not at all. I am absolutely serious. I'm hurt and I need a nurse. You said it anyway.

Lois: Yeah. When you had amnesia and we shouldn't have upset you. Not now that you are fine.

Sebastian: It doesn't matter. Put on your uniform, Kitten. And do it now!

Lois rolls her eyes.

Lois: You are a complete pervert, Mr. Jones.

Sebastian: Yeah, but I am also such a lucky man. Who else can fuck their nurse whenever they want? And what nurse, huh?

Lois: Okay. I'm sure you are perfectly normal.

The rest of the night went quietly for Sebastian and Lois. She wanted to tell everyone about the "miraculous revelation" as she called the resetting of his memory, but Sebastian stopped her.

Sebastian: Don't do that, Kitten. Not tonight. If you tell them, they'll want to come and it's late. We shouldn't be upsetting them at this hour, and besides...

Lois: What?

Sebastian: I have missed you. We haven't slept together in almost a week. Tonight, I want to hold you in my arms. Feel your body nestle perfectly against mine again. Bury my face in your hair and fall asleep listening to your heartbeat. Will you do me this favor?

Lois: Do you really think I am gonna do you a favor? All those nights without you by my side were a veritable Golgotha for me. At least you didn't remember. And if you don't remember what it's like to have something, you can't miss it.

Sebastian: You are wrong. I may not remember, but I knew my arms were missing something. I felt them empty. I knew I had someone in my arms every night before the accident, and that someone was you. I just didn't remember you.

Lois: How was it?

Sebastian: What was it?

Lois: The whole not remembering thing.

Sebastian: It sucked. I felt empty. I had no past. I didn't know who I was. I had people around me telling me I knew them, and I felt like it was true, but... how can I put it? I felt like I had feelings for them, especially Jared. I looked into his eyes and I knew he was my best friend, but I couldn't remember anything.

Lois frames his face and kisses his lips.

Lois: It's all over now.

Sebastian: How could I forget you?

Lois: You haven't forgotten me. You just didn't remember my name for a while. That wasn't your fault. But tell me something else. In your delirium, you asked me to release the wolf. What did you mean by that?

Sebastian: It all started when you fainted. I tried to lift you up, but Jared wouldn't let me. That's when I lost it. I thought he was going to take you away from me. I don't know why. It was completely spontaneous.

Lois: And what did you do?

Sebastian: I pushed him, bared my teeth at him and said, "No, she's mine."

Lois: You have always been possessive.

Sebastian: Guilty. Then he pushed me back and said, "Easy, Wolf."

Lois: That was risky. The doctor said not to tell you anything.

Sebastian: It may have been risky, but it worked. It was the beginning of the end. All of a sudden, a wolf was howling in my head. He was locked in a cage, begging me to release him. That was all I could see.

Lois: And then?

Sebastian: Then I dreamt about my father...

Sebastian explains exactly what he saw in his dream.

Lois: Did he tell you about me?

Sebastian: Yes, and being a good son, I took his advice. Besides, deep down, I already knew. I never believed that you were just my nurse. When I kissed you, the pain came back stronger than before, bringing scattered memories of my childhood. All the while, the wolf in the cage howled continuously. My head threatened to explode, but I gritted my teeth and endured the pain. I knew it was the only way. And you know what happened when I went inside you?

Lois: Don't remind me. You growled in pain. Your face was contorted. My heart was about to break.

Sebastian: The pain was excruciating, but then, and you will not believe this, a kitten emerged and began scratching at the bars of the cage to free the wolf.

Lois: You have got to be kidding me!

Sebastian: No, I swear. That was all I could see. The wolf was howling. The kitten scratched at the bars, meowing wildly, and then suddenly, boom! The cage shattered into a million pieces and it all came back.

Lois: Unbelievable!

Sebastian: The kitten freed the wolf. She saved him. You saved me. You brought me back, and I want to thank you for that.

Lois: Actually, I do know a way.

Sebastian raises an eyebrow.

Sebastian: And then you call me a pervert. That's sexual harassment of a defenseless patient, nurse.

Lois: Don't blame me, Wolf. You made me what I am.

Sebastian: And I don't regret it in the least. Jump on me, Kitten.

Lois jumps on him, laughing, and Sebastian starts stripping down, kissing her, and biting her neck. Like a real wolf!

Writer Willa Cather once said, "Where there is great love, there are always miracles."

And I say, if you are that lucky and find a love that great, do what you can to keep it. Because when you love what you have, you have everything you need.

*

But let's let Sebastian and Lois have their miracle and go somewhere else. Somewhere other than Alexander and Matt's house, where something very strange and sinister is happening.

~ ALEXANDER AND MATT's HOUSE ~

We all know... Nine times out of ten, if the doorbell rings before dawn, something bad has happened. The tenth time, it's just a drunk or a missing key.

Matt and Alexander are sleeping soundly, as they do every night, until suddenly the doorbell rings continuously. Matt, who always sleeps more lightly than Alexander, a remnant of his unjust incarceration in juvie and prison when he was seventeen, opens his eyes and mouth.

Matt: What the fuck? Who the hell is that at this hour? Whoever it is, I'm going to fuck him if my Star wakes up.

He walks down the stairs in his pajamas, stumbling and rubbing his eyes. Behind him is Penelope, his daughter's favorite dog, growling ferociously and baring her sharp teeth.

Matt: Penelope, if there's the pervert behind the door, bite his balls.

The dog growls and wags its tail.

Matt: That's my girl.

The moment Matt looks through the peephole, sleep falls from him and he immediately opens the door.

Matt: Skinny? What the hell are you doing here at this hour?

Skinny is none other than Kyle. Jace's hacker - employee of the Harronate Corp.

Kyle: Matt, we have a very serious problem. It's huge.

Matt: Not again, damn it! Not again.

Kyle looks tired. His face is pale and he has two big black circles under his eyes. For the past two days, he's been sitting in his office in front of his powerful computers, trying to carry out his boss's order. To find out who tried to kill Lois and Sebastian.

Leaving Jace's office and going to his own, he threw himself into work. A day later, he still hadn't found anything. The hours passed and the result of his research remained the same. A fucking zero. Kyle was starting to get disappointed and was about to give up when suddenly...

Kyle: What the hell? Who the hell is Cecil Longstone?

He kept searching in a completely different direction and finally his research began to bear fruit. Document after document began to surface. Discharge papers from mental hospitals. Autopsies from insurance companies. Payment receipts. Death certificates.

And suddenly...

Kyle: No. No. No, goddamn it! Not that!

Kyle can't believe his eyes. No. This can't be happening. There must be some mistake. With shaky hands, he grabs his cell phone and calls Katerina.

Katerina: Hi, stranger! Where the hell are you? You are missing a whole day!

Kyle: Sweetie, we have a problem.

Katerina: What happened this time?

Kyle: I found something that could cause an earthquake and I don't know what to do.

Katerina: Tell me everything.

Kyle explains to Katerina what he just found out.

Kyle: That's it.

Katerina: My god! That's huge.

Kyle: Tell me about it! Sweetie, what do you want me to do?

Katherine thinks for a while.

Katerina: Go to Matt. Tell him everything and he'll know what to do.

Kyle: Matt? Oh, no. No, no.

Katerina: Come on, baby. Get over it! Matt is the sweetest man in the world.

Kyle: Maybe to you. He scares me.

Katerina laughs.

Katerina: You are such a baby. Your son is braver than you.

Kyle: That's why you love me.

Katerina: That's why I love you.

Kyle: Wish me luck.

Katerina: Good luck, baby, and give Matt a kiss for me.

Kyle: Abso-fucking-lutely NOT!

Katerina: See you later, alligator.

Kyle: In a while, crocodile.

And so, Kyle gets in his car with the evidence he found and heads to Matt's house, asking God for help.

This is how Kyle finds himself on Matt's doorstep.

Kyle: Matt, we have a very serious problem. It's huge.

Matt: Not again, damn it! Not again.

Matt steps aside and Kyle walks in and caresses Penelope, who licks his hands.

Kyle: I love you too, Penelope.

Matt: Would you like some coffee?

Kyle: No, thanks. I have already drunk gallons of it, but you are going to need it.

Matt: Tell me everything.

Kyle: You better call Alexander first.

At that moment, the voice of Alexander walking down the stairs makes them both sit up and take notice.

Alexander : Alexander is here, Kyle.

Kyle: Good.

Alexander sits down next to Matt and Kyle hands them the documents he found.

Matt: What the hell is this?

Kyle: It's a sword of Damocles over Miss Lois' head. Over all of our heads...
