Chapter 5~A Hindustani Family

Recap: The Kapoor and Rajput family have already boarded their planes while Alisha, who has lost her luggage by Abhay, is right behind them. Nothing about the Ahuja family has been said.

Third Person P.O.V:

They hadn't even stepped outside the Indira Ghandi Airport that Bhavya started to complain about the smell, misquotes, and the people.

As soon as they got outside Mohan tried to advice Bhavya, "Bhavya, Hindustan mein tum aayi ho! (You have came to India!) Take a deep fresh breath of the Indian soil!!"

Mohan took a big inhale of the freshness of his beloved homeland.

"No thanks uncle, I don't want debris and poop in my lungs." Bhavya said rolling her eyes.

"Mom where will we meet Pritam uncle?" Rahul asked trying to cash he the subject.

Shakti sighed, "I don't know. Of course he is dumb didn't give me his flight details. Let's just go he will come to the village by himself I don't have time for his nonsense."

"Aunty can we wait for Alisha? Her flight came in early.

The Kapoor and Rajput waited for Alisha for 30 minutes when Aishwarya spotted her instantly.

"Alisha!!" Ash called out her sisters name in efforts to get noticed.

"Di! (Sis!) I had a terrible experience! This moron stole my laughed but don't worry I reported it to the officials and they said they will call me back if they get any information." Alisha explained before Ash got a chance to panic.

"Stole your luggage?! How!?" Ash questioned.

"Ash let's talk about this later! Our train will get missed if we keep on waiting. I hauled two taxis I think we can all fit in there." Rohan said trying to help Alisha out of her sisters freak out.

"What about aunties friend...umm, Pritam?"

"Alisha turns out that idiot hasn't even boarded his flight. Only God knows why I have such stupid friends, ek ko common sense nahi hai aur dosri ko village main rahna tha! (one has no common sense and the other just had to live in the village!)" Shakti said angrily.
The Kapoors and Rajput got on the taxis to the train station to Ambala in the state of Punjab.

Coming to India was already a big enough problem for Bhavya that at any moment she could break down. All her friend were going to places like the Bahams while she was stuck with her family on a never ending train ride.

Not only Bhavya but all the Rajputs and Kapoors struggled to fit into the crowded train, some people had no boundaries. The people would yell out loud, ask personal questions, even some people brought marriage proposals for Bhavya. Alisha and Ash could easily ignore but Bhavya shredded people's self esteem causing tears to come out of their worn out eyes. She stole the childhood of many children. on just a 4 hour train ride.
To sum it up she was a bitch.

Meanwhile the Ahjua family had boarded their planes. Esha and Pritam got to sit next to each other while the naughty Aarti got to sit by a heartthrob.

"Hey."

"Hi."

That was the most beautiful conversation anyone could have. Aarti and the guy would cherish it forever.

"So from India?" Aarti asked.

"Not me, but my family is from there. I'm from L.A."

"What were you doing in New York?"

"Just got divorce so thought it would be nice to change some scenery." The guy answered.

"Dude, why are you getting all personal? Could've gave me a fake answer, but gosh." Aarti said rolling her eyes.

"Sorry. You asked so I thought why not?"

"Ya everyone asks! But you don't have to cry about it." Aarti said annoyed because she was missing her love, alcohol.

After a 10 minute silence the guy decided to break the ice again, "what's you name?"

"Aarti." She said flipping through her magazine .

The guy could see her tension from the constantly tapping foot, her bitting her nails every second, and flipping through the magazines without even reading anything,
"Are you okay? You seem of edge." He confronted.

Aarti examined his face closer gazing in eyes wondering if she should share her anxiety with him.

"I need a drink."

The guys eyes widened and he felt uncomfortable, he was against smoking and alcohol. They ruined relationships and caused deaths.

"You don't need a drink, your mind does. Hold my hand."

"Excuse me?" Aarti said hesitantly but a natural pink color showed on her bubbly cheeks provoking her to turn away from him.

The guy grabbed Aartis hand and at this point she felt frightened of what was going to happen next, "relax. I'm not going to do anything, this will help you. For all of the plane ride you will think about me holding your hand rather than drinking." He clarified.

She was unable to say anything to his logic but went along with it. He was definitely right she couldn't stop thinking about the sensation of their hands touching. Her hand sweating, but she didn't want to say anything to ruin the moment.

"So is this your first time going to India?" He asked distracting her from staring at him.

"I was like nine or something when I came to New York can't really remember anything about India."

"That sucks! Because Sare Jahan Se Acha Hindustan Humera!! (In the whole world our India is the best!!)" Dheeraj said loudly.

"That's right beta!!! (Child!!!)" Pritam yelled overhearing those words.

"Dad sit down!" Aarti said covering her face to avoid embarrassment.

"Kyun? (Why?) This boy has said such a wonderful thing! He should be awarded." Pritam cheered.

Esha stood up and started to whisper in her dads ear, "papa please sit down or they will kick you out of the aircraft."

"Unki himat hogi bhi nahi! Woh Pritam Ahjua ko nahi jante! (They don't have the nerve! They don't know Pritam Ahjua)."

Aarti rolled her eyes at her dads ego, "dad apko koi nahi janta (nobody know you) so please sit down!"

"Oye! (Hey!) You shut up!! I'm taking to the young man beside you! What's your name beta? (child?)"

Aarti than realized she hadn't even bothered to ask the simplest question that could start a conversation, but then he was already on second base with her by holding her hand. He made her blush crazily, he made her smile, and he made her feel safe.

"Uncle my name is Dheeraj."
