Your POV

The whole campsite was being raided. I saw Boot's mom being attacked. I screamed at the shadow souls attacking her, but I was too late. I reached down and covered Boot's eyes. She was already being killed by the shadow souls. Laurence saw what I was looking at. Garroth and Aaron were fighting the shadow souls. Travis and Laurence was still trying to kill the werewolfs. And I was being useless. I was just watching the death of a mother. Travis and Laurence had just killed the last wolf and looked over at me. I was on the floor hugging Boots. He was crying on my shoulder. I saw Travis run over and start to help attack the shadow souls. I felt a hand on my back. I turned around and saw Laurence. Not the shadow knight Laurence. The Laurence with baby blue eyes and brown hair.

"Are you guys my mommy and daddy now?" Boots asked.

"Yes, we are Boots" Laurence said smiling down at me and Boots.

"O-Ok" Boots said burring his head into my chest. "Will I live with you guys?" 

"Of course" Laurence said. "Me, Mom, and you will all live in the same house" he said giving me a flirty smirk.

"Well, that makes my life much easier" Aaron said scaring me. "I wont have to build Y/N a house"

"Why hello there Aaron" Laurence said getting down on his knees and wrapping his arms around me and Boots.

"Hello Laurence, Y/N" Aaron said.

"Y/N are you sa-" Travis said running up to me and then stopping seeing Laurence and Boots. "I-Im sorry I didnt know that he finally made his move" 

"Get away Travis" Laurence said growling.

"Is daddy a wolf too" Boots asked.

"Haha no Boots" I said laughing.

"You better go home just in case anything else happens" Aaron said walking off. "Goodnight" he yelled back.

"Lets get going then, Ill show you where my house is" Laurence said getting up and putting Boots on his back then giving me a hand to help me up.

~ Time Skip To When You Are At Laurence's House ~

"Here we are" Laurence said putting down Boots to get out his keys and open the door. "Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cozy kitchen and a sweet little family room"

"WOW, this place is bigger than the castle in my vill- I mean old village" Boots said about to cry.

"Shh, its ok Boots, this is your new village, and we are your new family" I said stroking his head.

After a few seconds Laurence finally said something.

"Come on Boots Ill show you your room" Laurence said.

"What about Mommy, where will she sleep" Boots asked.

"With me of course" Laurence said winking at me.

"Oh, OK" Boots said skipping down a hall.

"Carefull Boots" I yelled.

"Ill meet you in my room, ok?" Laurence said "You'll know which room it is"

"O-Ok" I said. Laurence walked off to go show  Boots his room.

I walked down the hallway and opened the first door, to find a bathroom. I open the second door and saw a room with a king sized bed with green bedding and a few green swords up on the wall. I think this is his room. I walk inside and sit on the bed admiring the swords on the wall.

"Here, I got you some extra clothing, its my sister's old stuff but I think you could fit in it" Laurence said coming in through the door with a small pile of clothes in his hand.

"O-Ok thanks, can you leave so I can change please" I asked.

"Of course sweetie" Laurence smirked and then went outside the door and closed it. I giggled a little.

"I heard that" Laurence yelled through the door.

"Oh hush up" I yelled back.

I picked out a blue shirt and some comfy looking pants. I changed and put my H/C hair into a pony tail. I told Laurence he could come back in.

"You look lovely Y/N" Laurence said walking up to me and warping his arms around my waist.

"Hehe thanks" I said nervously.

"Daddy, Mommy, Im hungry" Boots said walking into Laurence's bedroom.

"Ill uh make some food then I guess" I said.

"Ill go ask Garroth and I guess Travis if they want to come over and join us if they are done dealing with the shadow souls" Laurence said walking out of the door. "Be safe"

"We will" I said walking over to the kitchen with Boots following me.

"Mommy" Boots asked.

"Yes Boots" I said

"Who is Garroth and Travis"

"Well they are friends of Daddy and Mommy"

"Oh ok so they are my new uncles"

"I guess" I said giggling. 

I grabbed out some raw pork and beef out of the fridge. I put them in the furnace and started to cook them. Then I heard someone barge through the door.

"AHHH" I screamed.

"Hey Y/N, dont worry its just me Travis" Travis said walking through the door followed by Garroth.

"W-Wheres Laurence" I asked walking over to Boots and standing in front of him.

"Dont worry Y/N, he was just called up to go talk to Lord Aphmau" Garroth said calmly.

"Oh ok" I said stepping away from Boots.

"Sooooo, whats cooking sugar plum" Travis said walking over to me to try and kiss me. 

Then suddenly Boots stood infront of me.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO FLIRT WITH MY MOMMY" Boots yelled. 

"Uhhh, ya, now move little one so I can make the moves on your 'mom'" Travis said kicking Boots out of the way. He whimpered a little when Travis's foot hit his side. After that Travis pushed me up against a wall. 

"Travis, let her go" Garroth said.

"Heh, no" Travis said pushing me up against the wall even harder. My arm started to hurt again from the cut I got. I whimpered really loudly. Travis leaned his face in and got his lips ready to kiss me.

"TRAVIS" Laurence yelled. "GET AWAY FROM HER, NOW"

After that Travis threw me on the ground and walked over to Laurence.

"Like I said earlier, you and her are not dating, and until you are, which you wont because I will, I wont stop trying to make the moves on Y/N" Travis said.

"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW" Laurence yelled.

"Ugh fine, see ya later Y/N" Travis said giving me a wink before walking out of the door. 

"I should get going" Garroth said. "See you tomorrow Laurence, Y/N stay safe" He said walking out of  the door.

"Did he hurt you" Laurence said running up to me.

"A little, but he did hurt Boots" I said walking over to Boots who was curled up in a ball crying.

"HE WHAT" Laurence said running over to Boots on the couch.

"Are you ok Boots" I asked putting my arm around him pulling his small curled up body closer to mine.

"Ya that just reminded me of my old dad" Boots said shaking.

"Your ok now Boots, I wont let anyone hurt you or Mom ever again" Laurence said pulling Boots and my body closer to his.

"I-I love you guys" Boots said putting his arms around me and Laurence.

"We love you too Boots" I said.

Author's Note ~ Well I hope you enjoyed this chapter of A Better Life. I hope you guys are enjoying the story in general . 1280 words <3 I will also be starting another story soon. And if you have not noticed all chapters from now on will be at least 1000 words, unless something bad has happened to me or such then it might be less. Well
