A cool drop fell upon my face

Sunburnt and turned to the graying sky

Thunder rolled

Lightning screamed

I was at peace

Rain fell

Drowning me in something aside from my thoughts

A torrent all on their own

My emotions a flood

Slamming against the barrier around my soul

The world crackled with chaos

Electrifying my very bones

The heavens broke open

Muffling my mind

The sky listens

The sky hears

The sky hides

Secrets were pulled into the void

A desperate attempt to banish them from my mind

A smile crossed my face

The clouds tore open

To rage at the world

I stared them in the face

They greeted me

Welcomed me

Saved me

Savored my pain

That was both mine and their gain

Inside a storm

Inside it's eye

That was where I rested my ever-aching mind
