Areums POV

"Hey do I know you from somewhere" he asks. I can practically feel his eyes on me and for the first time I lift my eyes from off the ground.

As soon as my eyes connect with his I feel my heart drop.

It's the hot boy from the cafeteria!

I lick my lips nervously as he stares into my eyes. "Uhh... no I'm sorry" I say my voice cracking. Just then the door opens up on my floor and I quickly get off. I take a deep breath placing a hand on my chest. Who would have thought we would be living in the same building!

I knew Anne and Souline would freak out once I told them. I head down the hallway my face still feeling hot. I can't believe I told him I didn't know him! Well it was true I didn't really know him personally and he's a new student still at our school.

I unlock the front door stepping into our two bedroom apartment. I place my shoes by the door and slip on some slippers. I head to my room throwing my bag on the floor. I face plant into my bed letting myself relax.

Exhaustion suddenly takes over and before I know it darkness awaits me.

I didn't realize how long I had been sleeping when I checked my phone to read the time. It was already 9:30 PM, I suddenly panic when I remember I didn't answer the house phone. I groan as I can already picture the scolding I would receive from my mother.

Feeling hungry I enter the bathroom first to wash my face. I then head to the kitchen deciding to make some black bean ramen. There was no denying that I could not cook to save my life. The only thing I could make was ramen and eggs. Everything else I relied on my mother for that.

I place the cooked ramen in a bowl before heating up some leftover shrimp as well. I grab my food moving placing them on the table. I scrolled through Instagram while eating.

I feel soft fur rub against my leg and I look down to see a loving Min Min. "You must be hungry" I coo as I scratch behind his ears. His vivid green eye closing in content.

After I finish eating I place my now empty bowl into the sink. I then pick up Min Mins bowl and to give him his dinner. Once I place his bowl onto the ground he races over devouring his food in seconds.

I go up to my room face planting on my bed. Suddenly I receive an incoming call from Cianne.

"Hey what's up" I say as I lounge on my bed.

"How was practice today" ?

"If I'm being honest we have our work cut out for us tomorrow. Did you drop your mom off at the airport"?

"Yup. Party on Saturday be there or else" she warns.

"Yeah yeah we'll see how I feel" I joke as I decide to lay upside on my bed.

"So if you guys weren't practicing today what exactly did you guys do" Cianne asks. I contemplate on whether I should be the one to tell her.

"Uh... well... I'll just let Souline tell you" I say suddenly feeling embarrassed.

"Whatever I gotta go my pizza is here, later almond". The line goes dead, tomorrow was going to be a looong day.

"What's the point of math anyway it's not like I'm going to ever need to use it" Cianne groans. I shake my head with a smile. We walk out the classroom to head to the cafeteria.

"I don't know why you don't just let me help you" I say with a frown. Cianne was stubborn, her pride always got the best of her even when she was in dire need.

"It's fine, you know how I roll I'll figure shit out one way or another" she says with a wave of her hand. Rolling my eyes we walk inside the cafeteria to see a hysterical Souline waving her hands as if we didn't sit at the same table everyday.

"You know we sit here every day right" I say as I take a seat across from Anne.

"I just wanted to make sure your eyes are working fine" Souline says with a sarcastic smile. I roll my eyes as I take out my lunch.

"So what's this I hear about you guys not taking band practice seriously" Cianne says stealing a mozzarella stick from Anne's tray.

"Ooo girl let me tell you. Did you see the fine new student that goes here" ? Souline gushes batting her eyes. I munch away on my kimchi praying they wouldn't notice how embarrassed I was.

"Didn't you just break up with Derek. Ya ass move quick don't ya" Cianne says teasing Souline. I hold back a smile.

"Whatever" Souline says rolling her eyes and going back to her phone. We go back to our normal chatter and bickering when all of a sudden Soulinr gasps.

"LOOK LOOK, HE'S OVER THERE" Souline says loudly hitting the table. With a frown I glance over across the cafeteria to see him sitting with two other guys.

"Girl he ain't even all that cute" Cianne dismisses going back to stealing food from Anne's tray. I glance over at Anne who has been unusually quiet today. I gently tap her hand mouthing to her  if she was okay. She sends me a gentle smile nodding her head.

Anne was the type of girl who wasn't shy. When she believed in something she made it known to everyone. She wasn't one to back down from a challenge in fact it was hard to get through to her sometimes! But I knew she meant well so I was always did my role as the supportive friend.

"HE'S LOOKING OVER HERE! OH MY GOD HE'S COMING"!!! Souline whisper yells. I feel my heart race, I still hadn't told the girls that he just moved into my building. So essentially we were neighbors.

He stops at our table with his hands in his pockets. When his eyes meet mine his face lights up with recognition.

"Hey neighbor" he greets with a grin. The girls turn to me there mouths open in shock.

"Uhh surprise"
