I was looking through some old sketchbooks

And I have finally developed the courage to reveal my miserable middle school art

OK first of all, not all of it was terrible.  I actually still kind of like my casual comic styles from then

(That was a time my Spanish teacher fell down the stairs)

And there are still a few things I think are pretty cute

HOWEVER

What I considered to be my serious style

Was an eyesore

Initially I drew these eyes, which were meh so I decided to make it more real looking

As you can see, I succeeded in every possible way

WHO IS THIS WOMAN

Ah these gals were from my edgy first attempt at a novel *gags* *dies*

Also

I could not draw boys

At all

In any style

And some were just cringey in concept because that weird ironic-but-it's-not-actually-funny humor in middle school

Like the Smileys, for example

Why do they exist

ACH

It's just all so so bad

This particular picture, known as Lady Lumberjack by those who've seen it, is infamous among my friends because at first glance it looks okay, but then you look at it and realize how disproportionate she is, especially her arms

Ugh
