So in my family when we turn *the age I turned yesterday* my mom takes us out to get a makeover and a bunch of makeup

Oh yeah by the way this also the age she actually lets us wear makeup.

And do other things as well

(Actually an encounter like that with my mom would probably just end up like this:)

Anyway it was...interesting

The poor girl who had to do my makeover was also the only employee in the entire store at the time so she had to go from smearing foundation on my face to ringing people up and making change

But still...interesting

She was saying what all the stuff did to my face  but I had no freaking idea what she was talking about

And she kept asking me if I wanted hr to put certain things on my face but I didn't know and I kept having to flag down my mom (who was putting on every glittery sample she could find) and ask her

I wasn't much better with the glittery stuff myself because I kept swatching this one color on my hand because it reminded me of mermaids

This was the result (prepare yourselves for Daria's fat face)

Ew I totally look like I'm trying way too hard in these pictures but I was really just slightly terrified

Turns out, this look is a lot harder to recreate on your own

I had the hardest time before school and had to restart like 3 times because of my mortal enemy.

Mascara.

Who the frick invented mascara?

Really the only thing I like putting on is lipstick because it's easy and it's like the same color as my lips anyway.

But I had trouble
