So it just occurred to me that I've been talking about Brecky but like .3 people actually know who she is.

I will clarify.

Brecky lives in the same world as Pete and Francis (it's called Nonalee) in a group of islands called the Kitchen Islands (hahaha) because she is part of the Food Court (HAHAHA), which is a hierarchy of royalty and nobility that grow crops and provide a lot of the food for the rest of Nonalee.  Brecky and her older sister Darby...

...rule the kingdom of vegetables.  Darby is in charge of the more popular root vegetables (higher class and such) and Brecky rules the rest, like greens and Cole vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower).

Brecky is twelve.

She is the youngest ruler in the Kitchen islands.

Darby is...*an undetermined age prolly twentyish* and she's very proper and ladylike and takes her job very seriously (even though she doesn't think she's good enough for it.)

Darby also has a *small crush* on Francis, who is completely oblivious because he is an <idiot>.  It's also pretty funny cuz Darby is like almost six feet tall.

Darby, like a good vegetable ruler, has upheld the long rivalry between them and the fruit kingdom, who have claimed tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and avocados as fruit even though clearly they are vegetables (or are they?).  Those debated produce items would fall under Brecky's rule, and Darby accuses the fruit kingdom of stealing her little sister's legacy and subjects, but Brecky secretly doesn't mind very much.
