I could hear Keeton's scream of agony all the way across Meteor Falls. "Two commanders down, one to go. I need to assist Group B now!" I flew over to the east exit to Meteor Falls, and saw the trap Ellie had set up. They had all the defensive Pokémon stagger Protects while holding Leppa Berries, and everyone else firing projectiles from the ledge. They had a good set up, but I could tell the Protects were running low. I slammed into the ground, causing an Earthquake that broke the line of Gary's troops. "Well, well, I see I'm not the only one who has Mega Evolved.", Gary said from behind me.

"It's been a while, Gary. I see that you've become ruler of most of the Hoenn Region." "And I see that you learned to lose 5 of your friends, and many more of your allies." "And that's different from your army, how?" "Because, my dear, naive boy, I don't make relationships with my soldiers. They are but padding, the kamikaze (divine wind) of my campaign! I feel nothing when they die, and that is what makes me strong! The weak kneel to the strong! Such is the order of society!" "No, you're wrong! If you were truly strong, you wouldn't treat you soldiers as worthless fodder, you wouldn't conquer this region! The truly strong help the weak stand, and the way I see it, you aren't doing that!"

"Silence! You dare question my authority?" "No, I don't dare, I do challenge you!" He grabbed me and threw me, to which I fell upon him using Double-Edge. It would have normally failed, but thanks to my ability as a Mega Salamence, Aerilate, it became a Flying-type attack. Gary retaliated with a punch, but I caught his fist in my mouth and we took to the skies. I drove him into the wall of the cave, dragging him along for a few hundred meters. I then slammed him into the nearest road, which happened to be Dragon Rage Ct.

"You know, I've know of this for more than 6 months! For half a year, I've been preparing for this exact conflict! And now we're here! So now, don't hold back!" He began to open his mouth, but I read his mind to hear that he was using Perish Song. Knowing what he could do, I used a Feint Attack on him to stop him. He was surprised that I was able to stop his attack. "Impossible! You couldn't have possibly known what I was going to use!" "Wrong again, Gary. You see, having an impure heart doesn't get you any free Mega Evolutions, so we had to find something else. We found out about something called a Mega Ritual, which Keeton and I both used to Mega Evolve. But, a member of it can transfer an ability to the one Mega Evolving! Can you guess what happened?" "No, Emilee gave you telepathy!" "Yes, very good, Gary!" "Well, what happens when you can't use your precious Aerilate? Skill Swap!"

Gary sent a beam of light from him to I, and had our abilities swapped! "Now, how will you get out of this? Perish Song!" He played the all too familiar, haunting melody. "Like this! Roar!" I roared at him, trying to scare him off, but the Roar was sent back to me! I fled the battle, and Emilee fought in my stead. "What? No! How!" "Easy! We set up a chain of Skill Swaps!, Emilee said. "I traded abilities, then the person I traded with traded with Kilian!" "But who did that? This is absolute witchcraft!" "That, would be me!" Next to Emilee, another Mega Gengar appeared. "What? How?" The second Gengar began to flatten and spread, like a mound of honey, before reforming into Jonathan. "Hi, what's up! Not to state the obvious, but, you's gonna die." "Let's finish this!", Emilee said.

Emilee sent a Psyshock at him, and Jonathan re-transformed into Gary. Gary reapplied the Perish Song, and his perish count fell. Emilee used Roar on Gary, which got bounced back to her, and I switched back in. Jonathan switched abilities again, giving him Shadow Tag, and Gary used Shadow Ball on me. The last turn, I roared Gary out, and pursued him. I wanted to have a clean fight, not to win by his own attack. He had made it to Meteor Falls Junior High when I caught him. I threw him into the Battling Gym, and we made our final stand here. This would decide the fate of the region. It was down to this, two men enter, one man leaves.

"Why, Kilian? Why did you save me from my Perish Song? Do you not want to win?" "I know I will win, but winning a true battle is what really matters. I would rather barely win a true battle with you, rather than outright win a battle where you killed yourself." "Wow, what a nice thing to do. Too bad that these acts of kindness are what make you weak!" "Well, at least I don't look like I can barely stand." "Why you!" He tried to use Skill Swap, but it failed him.

"So, how do you like the taunt I used?" "What?" "I told you, Gary, this will be a true, clean fight. Strength against strength, wits against wits, no cheap tactics!" He rushed towards me and punched me, allowing me to grab and throw him. I followed that up with an Earthquake, now able to affect him thanks to his lack of Levitate. He used Shadow Ball, I used Double-Edge. We were just wearing each other down until the end. I threw him into the ceiling, and he to fall, fist outstretched. I flew up towards him, and we collided in the air. Falling to the ground, we stood up stared at each other, and both fired Hyper Beams. They collided and kept pushing against each other, his superior Special Attack canceling out my Aerilate.

"Give up Kilian, I'm putting everything I have into this attack! Now perish, along with all of your friends and allies!" His beam started to overtake mine, and I feared that it was the end for me. Then, joining my beam was a purple blade of energy. "Keeton! You're here!" "Focus on the beam, more help is coming!" Sure enough, soon, a Thunderbolt from Haylee, a Signal Beam from Josh, a Shadow Ball from Emilee, two Dark Pulses from Joey and Valerie, a Dragon Pulse from Ellie, and two Flash Cannons from Seth and Samantha joined in. We pushed against Gary's attack, but he was able to push against the attack itself, much like Olivia did at that first dance. "Gary, it has been a pleasure to battle you.", I told him telepathically. "But now, I must end it!" I stopped the beam, and chased it to Gary. As the beam reached Gary, I prepared one last attack, one final Crunch to finish him off! I bit into him, and a small explosion happened where he used to be. When the smoke cleared, Gary was dead, and the Siege of Meteor Falls, as well as his empire, had ended.
