After that, I went to Band, where having a head cover with the strength of steel, made it easy to play the timpani. After that, I had lunch, which is where I told my friends about my "Shiny" status. "Joshua, I want you to hit me as hard as you can." We all cringed, because we knew what Mr. Dennis was going to do. Right before Josh charged, Mr. Dennis said, "Now Joshua, let me make myself clear. I want you to hit me. And I want you to hit me as hard as physically possible."

"And what if I don't?" "Then your father was right for calling you weak." Josh hit him harder than I knew he could, but Mr. Dennis was barely phased. He used Counter, repelling Josh's attack with a sucker punch.

Josh got sent flying into the wall. We all thought he was down for the count, but, miraculously, Josh got back up. "Is...that...all you got? Well, Joshua, it looks like you won't have to invest in any Focus Sashes." We all laughed as Josh was sent back to his seat with a Max Potion. Next up was Sam Slowpoke. "Hey, Sam, did you purposely roll out of bed, or was it accidental," Mr. Dennis asked.

Sam just stared ahead like nothing happened. "Sam, you have the Ability Oblivious. You are immune to Confusion and Taunts." "Cool," he said, before moving back to his seat.

Next up was Sammy Slowpoke, Sam's twin sister. Mr. Dennis taunted her, which made her mad, meaning that she had a different Ability then her twin. "Now, Sammy, use Water Gun on me!" She did, and was hit by Mirror Coat. She looked like she was about to faint.

"Whoa there, Sammy, I think you should sit out for a bit. Go back to your seat and I'll check on you later." She went back to her seat, but was given no item to heal herself. Then, Danielle Dratini came up. "Danielle, catch!"

He threw a Toxic Orb at her. "Now, Danielle, hit me!" She tackled and he countered, but she didn't seem as hurt as she should have. "That didn't hurt that much! Hit me again!"

"Now, now, Danielle, it's important not to overextend yourself. But, it seems you have your Hidden Ability of Marvel Scale, which raises your defense when under the effects of a status ailment. Now, back to your seat, give me back the orb, take this Full Restore." Danielle went back to her seat. "Sammy, how you feeling," Mr. Dennis said.

"Better," Sammy said. "Yes, that's what I thought. Sammy, you have your Hidden Ability, Regenerator. When pulled out of a fight, you will regain some of your stamina." It continued like this for the entire class.

"15 minutes left in the period. If no one volunteers, I'll pick someone myself." "I'll go, Mr. Dennis," I said. "Ah, Kilian. Now, I want you to hit me while holding this."

He tossed a Life Orb at me. "Whoa! A Life Orb? Won't I hurt you?" "That is a concern, but I'm at full health and wearing a Focus Sash! You can't knock me out!"

"Well, alright then!" I charged and hit him as hard as I could. I awaited the recoil from the Life Orb, but it never came. "Wait, why am I not hurting right now? I hit you holding a Life Orb! Shouldn't I take recoil?"

"That...would be the case...if not for your Ability," Mr. Dennis said picking himself up off the floor. "You have your Hidden Ability, Sheer Force. Extra effects of moves are discarded for more power. That includes the recoil from the Life Orb." Just then, the bell rang.
