Walking into the office, I saw three Pokémon, one of which was Elijah. The other two were unlike any I had ever seen before. I quietly took out the Pokédex that Haylee's dad gave to me, and used it to secretly scan them. The first one, a boy, and a human-like, white and dark blue Pokémon, with blades on his arms, a grey plume on his head, red eyes, and a red triangle lodged in the middle of his chest. I had a flashback of the particles left from the Super Hyper Beam, specifically of the unknown Pokémon next to the Raichu. I looked at the Pokédex.

'Gallade: The Blade Pokémon, and the evolved form of Kirlia. Male Kirlias can evolve into a Gallade when they come into contact with a Dawn Stone. These Pokémon fight using the blades on their arms.' The other, a girl, was much like the boy, but had light blue hair and arms and no blades for arms, but was also white with red eyes and a red triangle in their chest. I had a flashback of the Pokémon that was with Gary from my dream. I scanned the girl.

'Gardevoir: The Embrace Pokemon, and the evolved form of Kirlia. Gardevoir's love for it's trainer will cause it to protect its trainer with everything it has, even it's own life. It's powers peak when it's trainer is in danger.' "So, we finally meet, Kilian," the Gallade said. "I feel like I know that voice. Wait...Keeton?" He gave a smirk, like he was going to make a joke. "In the flesh. The Gardevoir next to me is my twin sister, Raven." "Huh, my mom's name is Raven too," I said. She looked over at me, smiled, and asked, "Really? That's pretty weird, eh," before looking away again. "Well, welcome to Meteor Falls Junior High," Emilee said. "I think you'll like it here! Come on, we'll show you around!"

We walked out the office to the cafeteria. "This is the cafeteria. This is where you'll enter before the school day starts. You can either go to the gym, or, what most of us do, get breakfast and sit at a table." We walked over towards the back of the school. "This is where the physical activities and band classes happen," I said. "The main gym, the locker rooms, and the weights rooms are all over here." We walked back towards the main hallways. "These are the main hallways. You'll be seeing this area in front of the office a lot. And, that's about it! Any questions?"

"Yes, where's locker 281 and 282," Raven asked. "They are down this hall and to the left, by the counselor's office. Any more questions?" "Yeah, who's that," Keeton asked dreamily. He pointed down the hall to Haylee, who was walking down D hall to her Regional History class. "Oh, that's Haylee. She's an early student, because while she is taking classes here, she's actually only 10," Elijah said.

Keeton wasn't listening. He was busy admiring Haylee. Raven waved her hand in front of his face, but he didn't react. Elijah flew around him and rapidly poked him, but Keeton payed no mind to it. Eventually, I tried to headbutt him, causing him to counter with his left arm.

"No, bad Kilian! Now say you're sorry!" "No, you stop staring at Haylee! It's creepy," I told him.

"Guys, stop! Passing period is almost over! Now you can either keep arguing, or we can get to class," Emilee angrily told us. "Fine, alright, let's go. My first hour is...Evolutionary Sciences," Keeton stated. "Oh, what a coincidence, that's Emilee and I's first hour." "Well then, lead the way, oh draconic one."

We walked into class and sat in our usual spots, me next to Emilee, Joey in the middle table. Keeton sat towards the back, and in a weird twist of fate, Valerie Vullaby sat next to Joey. I started getting confused. Valerie usually hates Joey, but I thought that she had no other place to sit. As I looked around, however, that was proved false, as there was a seat next to Keeton, and Valerie would be better sitting by him, being Dark-Flying type and all. But nevertheless, now she's sitting by Joey. Ms. Ninetales walked back into the room.

"Welcome back, class. Today, we will be resuming our talk about evolution. For a refresher, we showed the evolutions of a Poliwhirl, Eevee, Dratini, Deino, and Bagon. Now, after events that happened over the weekend, 3 of those Pokémon have evolved. Now, let us continue. First up, a new student, Keeton Gallade."

Keeton got out of his seat and walked to the front. "Now class, Keeton is an example of a rare form of evolution using a stone called the Dawn Stone." The projector showed a picture of a Dawn Stone. "Dawn Stones are special because they only work on a certain gender of Pokémon. For instance, only a male Kirlia can become a Gallade, while only a female Snorunt can become a Froslass. So, Keeton, how did this happen?"

"Well, a few weeks ago, I was digging up stones with my friends, when I found a shining green stone sticking up out of the ground. I showed my friends, and they started feeling it, trying to see how much it could be worth. When I started to feel it, a strange warmth filled my hand. As I squeezed the stone, keep in mind not as hard as my friends did, it shattered, with any pieces that were left of it became absorbed by my hand. After that, a strange power filled my body, and I passed out. When I came to, I had become the Gallade I am today."

"Thank you, Keeton. Now, I have a question. Were you born that color?" "Yes, I was born with blue hair instead of green hair. My twin sister, Raven, was too." "Well, then, I believe that this segways quite well into our next topic. Now, we will be talking about shininess."

"Shininess is a rare property in a Pokémon that makes their appearance different from other Pokémon of the same species. For instance, I am a Shiny Ninetales, so instead of being a blonde color, my fur is silver, with blue fur at the tips of my tails. Most Gallades are primarily green with a light blue plume on their head. Keeton is a Shiny Gallade, so he is blue with a grey plume on his head. Shelgon are normally white, but Shiny Shelgon, Kilian, for example, are light green."

I wanted to Teleport away at that point. I always hated being called out in class, but this was taking it to a whole new level. I was so glad to be a Shelgon at this point, because my shell's cheeks can't get red. "Shininess is a rare property, as only 1/4061 Pokémon are Shiny. Those who are though, are very valuable, and used to be hunted en masse by trainers long ago. Also, shininess cannot be removed, so once a Shiny Pokémon, always a Shiny Pokémon."

We walked out of Evolutionary Sciences and went our separate ways. I walked to Math with Haylee, while Keeton went back the other way to find Raven. "So, how was class as a Pikachu? Anyone give you a hard time?" "No, it was just the same as before, only now I don't have to sit on a book to see the board."

Our conversation was cut short by a shriek. I looked back towards the Evolutionary Sciences classroom and saw the source. Keeton and Raven, ensnared and lifted by vines. The vines were from Abigail Ivysaur, a member of the bad girl gang of the school. Behind her was Beatrice Braixen and Olivia Dewott.

"So, you think that you're so special for being a Shiny Pokémon, huh," Beatrice asked. "What does it matter? Are you just insecure with your being," Raven asked back. Beatrice snapped her fingers, and Olivia gave Raven a cut in her cheek. "Now, what were you saying," Beatrice resumed. "You'll pay, I swear it," Keeton yelled. He tried to move his arm to cut the vines, but Olivia cut him across his cheek. "Man, it's not everyday I get to cut someone, let alone two," Olivia said. "That's it! Call them off, Bea," I yelled as I rushed over and jumped towards Abigail. "Oh, look, it's the draconian marble. 'Livia, you know what to do."

Olivia jumped in front of my path, scalchop in hand. I braced for the hit, but saw a figure jump in front of me and block the hit somehow. "Go! Stop the others," she ordered. I ran towards Abigail and tried to use Crunch, but saw Beatrice pulling out her stick from her tail. I once again, braced for impact, but Beatrice was kicked into the lockers by another unknown figure. I used Crunch to break all of Abi's vines at once, freeing Keeton and Raven. While they were getting to safety, Abigail ensnared my legs in rage and tried to pull me apart.

"You know, Kilian, you could have just left us alone here, but you just had to intervene." "Yeah, and so do I!" Keeton used Psycho Cut on the vines, cutting them and making fall on my back. Before Abigail could do anything, a third figure jumped from the shadows. They picked up Abigail and slammed her onto the floor. The bad girls ran off, knowing that they were defeated. I rolled back onto my feet and asked if everyone was alright. "Yeah, just a bit squeezed and have a small cut, that's all. Thanks for the help, Kilian," Raven said.

"Hang on, I may be able to fix the cut. Kneel down." She did and I focused on how happy I was to protect them, win a fight, and have another friend who's a Shiny Pokémon. When I stopped, her cut was no longer there. "Wow! How'd you do that?" "I can tap into Aura, sort of like a Lucario." I healed up Keeton, before a voice said, "Well, that seems quite useful," coming from the mysterious figures. I looked over to the group, who were now standing in a line, hoping to identify them. I took out the Pokédex and scanned them.

'Grovyle: The Wood Gecko Pokémon, and the evolved form of Treecko. It can outrun any opponent in a forest, thanks to it's superior branch jumping skills. It is also a master of forest camouflage.' 'Combusken, the Young Fowl Pokémon, and the evolved form of Torchic. It is able to deliver 10 kicks per second with its powerful legs. It's body temperature increases when in a fight.' 'Marshtomp: The Mud Fish Pokémon, and the evolved form of Mudkip. This Pokémon's hind legs are incredibly strong, which allows it to stand on them. This is because it has lived it's life on mud, and has adapted to it's uneven footing.'

"So, you're the middle Hoenn starters. I assume that it was you, Grovyle, who fought Olivia." "You'd be right," she said. "And you, Combusken, who slammed Abigail into the floor." "No, I kicked Beatrice into the lockers.", he said. "Yeah, I was the one who slammed Abigail into the ground," the Marshtomp said. "You can't assume everything based on type advantages, or else you could beat us, even when it's 3 on 1." "Yeah, that's true. I'm Kilian, and these are my friends, Haylee, Keeton, and Raven." "Nice to meet you. I'm Ellie Grovyle, these are my friends, Bode Combusken, and Logan Marshtomp."

"Ellie wanted to join their gang, but was rejected, so she made her own gang," Bode said. "Now, instead of a girl gang, we're a gang of Hoenn Pokémon. We call ourselves 'The Homeregion Heroes,' and we mainly protect others from the Bad Girl Gang." "We're always looking for new recruits, and as far as we're concerned, you guys would be perfect! So whadda you say? Wanna join," Ellie said. "Sure, as long as we're not mugging people or sticking up stores. Then I'm out," I told them. "Alright then, welcome aboard, Kilian," Logan said.

"Well, I'd love to, but if Keeton can't join, I won't join. Sorry, and thanks for the offer," Raven said. "Wait! Gallade evolves from Ralts, a Hoenn Pokémon, so the way I see it, if they evolve from a Hoenn Pokémon, they're part of the team," Logan said. "Well, in that case, we accept! Right, Keeton?" "Heck yeah! Protecting others, and meeting new friends? Sign me up," Keeton said. "Heh, I like the enthusiasm in this guy! Welcome aboard, Raven and Keeton," Ellie said. "Sorry to break up the initiation, but passing period is almost over. I'll be going to class now," Haylee said. "I need to, too. See you guys later," I said, trying to catch up with Haylee.

(Meanwhile, in Dewford Town)

Gary walked into the lab. He had been waiting for over 12 hours for Ephraim to wake up from his evolutionary state, but now it was time. Ephraim was laying on the floor, looking like a fancy rug. "Wake up, bug. We have work to do." Ephraim stood up, visibly not used to his new form. "As you wish, master. What are we going to do?" "Well, we're going to start our conquest, and we're going to get you ready to command. Come with me." They walked out of the room and onto a training field. There was another Scolipede waiting for them. "Scolipede! Show Ephraim here the ropes and test his ability!" "Yes sir! Now Ephraim, don't hold back. Because I'm not going to."
