Chapter 11: Archeology Trip
I got to the Mega Rayquaza statue. I waited there for a bit. I looked at my phone. "12:14. Shouldn't she be here?"
But, right when it turned to 12:15, I heard a voice. "Hey, you're here! I was worried you wouldn't show," said Emilee. "How, why, where? Oh, never mind." "So, what happened in your dream? It sounded bad."
"It was. It started with me waking up, and seeing all of my house destroyed, on fire, or both. Meteor Falls is destroyed, more of a plateau then a cave. I rush over to your house, and help your dad out from under rubble. He gives me the HM for Strength before dying."
"I go in to look for you. I see your mother, trapped under the ruins of a door. I hear your siblings, behind the rubble covering you mom, but can't rescue them. I go to your room and see you under a piece of the roof. I lift it off of you and carry you out of the house, but because your wounds are to bad, and with no Pokémon Center in sight, you die in my arms, right after saying it was good to see me again."
"I grieve over your death for about 5 seconds, before a familiar face shows up, sporting a new form. Gary appears, now as a Mega Gengar. He reveals that he killed your siblings, then Perish Tags me, or using Perish Song mixed with the Shadow Tag ability to prevent me from escaping, and I can't defeat him in time. He flees, while I succumb to the Perish Song. My dream ends with Gary saying that he killed our friends through Perish Tagging, while I stare at your body while saying that I'll see you soon."
Emilee was absolutely speechless trying to comprehend the details of the dream. "Wow, that's intense. No wonder you were so relieved that it was just a dream," she said. "I know, right? That was probably the scariest, saddest, and overall emotionally supercharged moment in my life. And it could even be a premonition of the future!"
"Well, we can take precautions to prevent that. For one, to prevent from dying, we can use healing moves." "Wait, you have a healing move? I thought that mainly Fairy, Grass, and Dark types had those!" "They have Moonlight and Synthesis, but they don't have Morning Sun!"
Emilee made a ball of light from the gem on her forehead and sent it into the sky. The light was incredibly bright, but also quite soothing. "That's Morning Sun," Emilee said. "It can heal damage, and works best on a clear or sunny day." "That's pretty cool! So if you had that in the dream, you might not have died. That makes me feel a bit better."
"Second, we can use moves that hit behind Substitutes! Like," "Wait! I know some! Hyper Voice, Echoed Voice, moves when having the ability Infiltrator, etc!"
"That's right. Third, we can use our own Mega Evolutions. Legend goes that hundreds of years ago, a legendary trainer buried a Salamencite in this park after his beloved Salamence died in a battle!" "But they won't let us dig up the entire park! How are we going to find it?"
"Well, we could do a deep dive in the books, we could ask Celebii! That's what we'll do! We'll-" "It's under that tree," said an unknown voice.
"What did you say," I asked. "The tree, that the Espeon was hiding in. The Salamencite is under it." "Wait, how did you know I was hiding in that tree? Where are you?"
"Back here." We walked to the back of the Mega Rayquaza statue and saw him. A Lucario, standing on the back of the Mega Rayquaza statue. He was about my height, with black fur around his eyes, spikes on his chest and the back of his hands.
"I heard about your dream. That was no dream. That was a premonition of the future. That will happen in 6 months time. If you want to beat him, dig under the tree." "Who are you, and how do you know this stuff," I asked.
"My name is of no importance. I saw what happened in a vision. Just be warned. Someone you meet soon will be in leagues with that Gengar. They will be a part Psychic-type that will betray you."
"Wow, thanks for that, jerk," I told the Lucario. "Stay vigilant, and train into a Salamence, Kilian. Life sometimes makes people evolve prematurely, but the ones who use that to their advantage are truly strong. This will not be the last time we meet. Goodbye!" He jumped into the distance, and out of sight.
"Come on," Emilee said. "Let's go dig up that Salamencite!" We went to the shaded spot under the tree, and dug. We dug for almost an hour, until we hit it. A small, marble-like stone the size of a Life Orb.
"We found it! The Salamencite," I said. "Now we might be able to beat Gary," Emilee said. I checked my phone. "2:10, I gotta go home soon. Mom said to be home by 3:00."
"Oh, then I guess I'll see you tomorrow." "Wait! My grandparents are visiting, so I was wondering if you could come over and meet them! "I'd love to! Hang on."
She raised her head up for a bit, then looked back at me. "As long as I'm back home by 8:00, I can come!" "How do you know that? Did you contact your mom with your mind?" "No, don't be ridiculous! I contacted my dad!"
"You know, the more I'm around you, the more I wish I was a Psychic-type Pokémon too." "Well, the more I'm around you, the more I'm glad I'm not a Sylveon or Glaceon." We both started laughing, before going back to my house.
"Stay vigilant, Kilian. A Pokémon that you soon meet will later betray you," the Lucario said in the distance.
