Wednesday

                                                                                     WEDNESDAY

MC tried to convince himself that what happened last night was a dream. It had to be. Pandas don't show up in people's kitchens and destroy them, but when he woke up to a messed up kitchen, he knew something was up. He didn't have time to clean up the mess. He had to get to school. He didn't want to be late. That thought struck a chord with him. Late... Late.... Late. Someone was always late, but who? Who was always late? He couldn't think of anyone. He shrugged it off and made his way to school. The school day was pretty normal, but he couldn't concentrate. Between the missing person who wasn't actually missing and the panda incident, focus on anything was essentially non-existent. He realized by lunch that he had forgotten to write a poem. He hastily wrote one during his study hall. It was all over the place, like his thoughts, but it would have to do. Once school was over, he didn't really feel like going to the Literature Club, but then again, he didn't exactly want to go home. The thought of having to clean up the mess in his kitchen discouraged him and, to be honest, he was afraid of coming home to the panda.

"Hello, MC!" Monika was the first to greet him, as usual. It made him happy. Monika was popular and beautiful. Her kindness towards him made him feel special. Those thoughts felt kind of artificial, though. He didn't know why.

"Sup, Monika?" he said, trying to sound casual and not like the fear of a giant, bipedal panda kept him up all night.

"Not a whole lot.Yuri and Natsuki are just bickering, again." She said as she nodded her head towards the two.

"Again? Is this normal?" Monika looked confused by the question for a split second before she answered.

"Oh, yeah. The two probably shouldn't be left alone in a room together. They might tear each others' throats out." MC sat, a bit amazed. How could someone sound so genuine, but also so artificial at the same time? Something about Monika seemed fake. He didn't think about it for long, though, as the idea was seemingly erased from his mind. Monika was a beautiful, smart, and talented young women. There was no way she could be fake.

"Ok, children! Let's read some poems!" Monika said. MC read Yuri's first. It had something to do with feeding the wildlife at your local park or some shit. He then read Natsuki's. Hers was about some person with some arachnophobia or something. He then came to Monika. He handed her his poem, hoping that it wasn't too obvious that it was written last minute and hoping that the concept of pandas wasn't too prominent. "This is great MC. I can really connect to it. Say, does this reflect you in any way?" the question didn't have that classic confident tone Monika's voice typically had.

"What? No." MC said, trying to cover up anything that could connect him and pandas. If he told the story of what happened last night, Monika would probably think he was insane.

"Oh," she said as she handed back the poem "well, here's mine!" she said, the confident tone in her voice returning. MC took the piece of paper from Monika and read.

I can't remember anything.

It's all a blur.

A black and white blur.

A fluffy blur.

A cheesy blur.

All mushed together to make a black blur

Because all those colors wouldn't mix with black well.

Srsly halp me.

"So is this about black rights, again?" MC asked, handing her back the paper.

"Oh- um- yeah. I am a huge advocate for black rights. I pray for them everyday." Monika grinned a kind of grin someone would grin when they're trying to cover something up with said grin. "So-um- yeah, that's all for today's meeting!" Monika, once again, hurriedly walked out of the room and MC dreaded what needed to be done. Cleaning. He praised the Lord when he saw that the grape juice hadn't broken open. That would've been one nasty stain. MC tried as best he could to sweep up all the broken glass.

"Cursed pickle jars..." he murmured to himself. He then looked at the bag of cheese left on the island by the panda. He snickered to himself. "Yeah, right." he took the back of cheese and threw it out. That was his biggest mistake. He was sitting on his couch in the living room, finishing up his poem for tomorrow. Then he heard it. That damned song!

"Just you know why..." He jumped up and turned around to see the panda. The panda stared at him with that dead stare. The panda then went over to the fridge. 'Not again.' MC thought. The panda then pulled out the grape juice. It turned back to MC and looked him in the eye as it approached. It stopped at the back of the couch. They were almost nose to nose. They then proceeded to make out and- just kidding. This isn't that kind of fan-fic. The panda looked MC dead in the eye as it unscrewed the cap and dumped the grape juice all over MC's white couch. The panda then placed a bag of cheese on the back of the couch and left.
