FRIDAY

MC was exhausted. He hadn't gotten much sleep at all over the past few days. His thoughts were swarming with pandas and cheese and he also still couldn't shake the feeling that someone was missing. His mind always drew a blank on who it could be, though. Classes went by as normal. At the Literature Club meeting, the girls were discussing who would do what.

"So what am I supposed to do?" MC asked, joining the conversation.

"Why, you can help me of course!" Monika said.

"What? Your job is so easy! He should help me!" Natsuki protested.

"I'm sorry, that's just the way it is." Monika replied.

"You know what, guys? I don't really need to help anyone. I'm pretty tired anyways. I think I should probably sleep." MC said.

"Oh, now you're gonna nap while we do all the work?" Natsuki asked, crossing her arms.

"I've been having issues falling asleep this week, ok?" MC snapped. Everyone just stared at him. He regained his composure and wiped non-existent crumbs off the bottom of his blazer. He let out a heavy sigh. "Look, I'm just really exhausted right now. I think I'm gonna go home early." MC silently grabbed his bag and left. It was late afternoon when he decided to go for a walk. It was nice and cool out and the moon was full, so there'd be plenty of light to spot violent, bipedal pandas. He was walking down the street when he heard running from behind him. He turned around to see Monika, not a bipedal panda. He stopped walking and when she caught up to him, she bent over and gasped for breath. She placed a hand on MC's shoulder.

"Listen MC-huff huff- you have to listen to me very carefully- huff huff- you have to go home and eat the cheese- huff huff- quickly before-" her words were cut off by a gasp of pain. She bent over and clenched her stomach. MC stepped back a bit. No! She couldn't be! He wouldn't accept it! He watched as fur covered her body and as her hands shifted into paws. What stood before him now wasn't Monika. It was the panda! He heard the music. Where it was coming from he did not know.

"Just you know why. (Just you know why). Why you and I...." MC was frozen with shock for a minute, as the panda stared at him with its soulless eyes. He knew what he had to do. Monika said he had to eat the cheese. He could only assume she meant the cheese the panda had been leaving at his house. He quickly ran around the panda and towards his house. He ran onto the porch and up to the door. He wiggled the knob. It wouldn't turn. He quickly reached into his pocket and fumbled with some keys for a moment before quickly opening his door, running in, and closing it behind him. He let out a sigh of relief and then turned around to see the panda had broken his window with a big block of cheese and climbed in. He eyed the bag of cheese the panda had left last night. He quickly ran to it, tore it open, and stuffed some in his mouth. He kept stuffing mouthfuls of cheese in his mouth and when he looked, the panda was gone. He looked at the empty cheese bag. 'PANDA' it read.
