•Day 3: Confusing Emotions•
{Day 3}
Hmmm... Hyungie... loves me? Like, that type of love...?
Jungkook tilts his head thoughtfully as he munches on the sweet strawberries Taehyung gave him.
Did Taehyung really mean it?
Jungkook had no way of knowing, which was why he had barely gotten much sleep last night. Just cuddled up against Taehyung, staring into the darkness with the amount of vision he had left, trying to not think about the accident, focusing on Taehyung only, and his heartbeat picking up but soon relaxing whenever Taehyung's legs came close to his waist area... to, you know where.
Jungkook was definitely thinking too far last night after Taehyung said that phrase. And he's still thinking about it now, even with all his efforts of pushing the thought away.
Taehyung and Jungkook are childhood friends, and it was stuck that way for as long as they remember. They both thought of each other as best friends only, repeatedly saying that even though the hidden feelings deep inside were yearning to be heard, yearning to be realized.
That they were much more than friends.
It was just about time that one of then fess up about how they feel, and last night was when the moment that was bottled up in that jar for years, broke free. Taehyung had said "I love you,". Jungkook had heard it.
Taehyung knew that feeling hidden inside him, for quite a long time actually, but was too nervous to admit it. The time had came, and now it was Jungkook's turn; to take his inner voice and put it to meaning, and to decide what to do with Taehyung, now that his feelings have been shared.
-<~><~><~>-
Aside from the "love" situation, Jungkook still had other things to worry about, even though he's already worried about those things yesterday.
He fact that Jungkook couldn't see was still hitting him. Everything around was totally different, so dark and empty even when he still has some light perception, yet Jungkook could feel everything. He could hear everything. And taste everything. He was still on this world... everything was still there... but it's so hard to believe so.
Jungkook reached forward again, feeling for the bowl of strawberries set on the coffee table and took a bite of it before he realized it was the last piece of fruit left and sighed, feeling glum once again.
Taehyung wasn't nearby, judging by the silence around him and Jungkook wanted Taehyung right now; mostly because he was his only way of getting around the house, well for now, and also because Jungkook was starting to feel highly emotional again because of himself.
"Taehyung?" Jungkook called, looking around the room. "Hyung?" His voice wavered a little.
Silence.
Jungkook started to stand up. He's probably in his room or something...
Immediently, Jungkook pondered about how he was going to do this. He hadn't fully memorized the layout of the house yet, leaving him with less options.
Maybe I can just hug the walls and just walk around? Shit, that'd be stupid though.
Oh! The lights?
Jungkook glanced up at the ceiling and sure enough, there were bright white spots in his vision, otherwise, the lights on the ceiling. He slowly followed the trail of lights, calling for Taehyung before the latter showed up from his bedroom, confused but surprised to see Jungkook in front of his room with watery eyes. Immediately, Taehyung's hands went up to hold Jungkook's.
"Kookie, what's wrong?" Taehyung said softly, using his little made up nickname knowing that it calmed the younger down easily. Jungkook, after a lot of hesitation, pulled himself into Taehyung's arms, as a single tear rolled down his cheek.
Why am I crying....
Why am I always weak and shit?
Jungkook tried his best to hold back any audible sound as more tears stained his cheeks. He didn't want to feel weak and vulnerable, it brought a sickening feeling to him, yet here he is, stuck under the custody of Taehyung, shaking and silently crying as if he was stuck in another world.
A world of pain...
Sorrow...
Betrayal.
Jungkook's not only sad, but hurt; not because of Taehyung, but because of everyone else. Every single person that bullied him, every single person that turned him down, every single person that pitied him, and every person who left him. All those people lead Jungkook to where he is now, he was so hurt, he felt betrayed by everyone all through his childhood, and now...
The reality shook him. Jungkook felt crushed, and along with the feeling in his chest, he just wanted it to go away, to just disappear, he didn't want this, he wanted happiness, to be understood, and loved. And he wanted Taehyung.
Jungkook felt two strong arms tightly hugging him back. A heavy sigh escapes his lips as Taehyung pulls him away from his thoughts.
"Jungkook... what's bothering you?"
The latter remained silent, unable to speak because of his emotions controlling him.
"Here, let's go inside my room and we can talk alright?" Taehyung says.
-<~><~><~>-
"T-Taehyung, I'm scared..." Jungkook tried to keep his voice from wavering. "I-it feels like... I'm not on this world anymore..." Another tear rolls down his cheek, making Taehyung's heart ache at the sight.
"Could you... explain to me what it feels like for you? About... not seeing?"
"Everything's dark... and I can only p-pick up little b-bits of light. Everything else is j-just dim... and it feels s-so empty, Hyung." Jungkook lets out a broken sob. "It feels l-like I'm alone in an empty room! It feels like I'm going to... die!"
Taehyung immediately hugs the younger tightly, some tears of his own dropping down to his shirt. He was also on a verge of breaking down although he knew he needed to stay strong a little longer. But it felt like a fist was clenching his heart... Taehyung knew exactly how Jungkook was feeling; that feeling of loneliness, and sadness... and hurt... it wasn't any new news to him.
Jungkook clears his throat and continues. "B-but the worst part is that I can feel everything... I know that everything is there, its just I can't see it..."
I feel so deceived...
The world really does hate me...
"Aww~ Jungkook. I know this is very hard for you right now, I understand too, but we can't be here sulking all day, right? I'm gonna promise you one thing, Jungkook. And I hope you remember this forever alright?"
Jungkook slowly nods, now curious about what Taehyung had to say.
"From now on Jungkook, I promise to be by your side, and help you through every hard day, I promise that you won't ever feel sad or upset around me, because I'll be with you everyday to make you feel better. I'll help you be yourself again... I really miss the old Jungkook, and I won't ever judge you for anything, alright?"
Jungkook was surprised to say the least, Taehyung was probably the only person to ever care for him in such a way. Of course he had to agree to Taehyung's offer.
"Okay, hyungie."
(A/N): the narrative was all over the place srry if it wasn't as good... I'll improve this chapter at some point but I'm writing this at midnight so my sluggish, sleep deprived brain has come up with this for now.
