Ela's POV
I enjoyed working in the kitchen as we prepared order after order. The new staff was superb, even though we had a few members from the previous staff I was glad I didn't have to face Franklin. Everyone got along with each other and I was glad with this arrangement. After telling Draco I would leave once I got my first paycheck we haven't really spoken. He avoids me by drowning himself in his work and I avoid him with the excuse of being tired.
"Fried chips done!" One of the staff called out as they arranged them onto a plate.
All of a sudden the sizzling of pans was all one could hear as everyone stood looking at the kitchen entrance. Clad in a charcoal grey suit with a black shirt and matching grey tie, he stood rigid scanning the kitchen until his eyes found mine looking very serious until a smile broke on his features.
Walking towards me, the kitchen slowly came back to life as everyone continued with their work.
"Hi," he said giving me a peck on my cheek with a warm smile.
"Draco, what brings your here?" I said turning to my pan of stir fry.
"I came to take you to your appointment," he said. "Caine just left town so I am here to be your driver," he said as I asked someone to take over my station.
"What appointment?" I asked in confusion as he chuckled looking at my belly.
"It's a good thing I took the rest of the day off," he said pushing a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
"I completely forgot," I said removing my apron stopping as I realized who would I leave in charge of the kitchen.
"Meet Shane, he will be taking over for the afternoon, plus he is your number two. You are overworking yourself," he said indicating to a man who was already shouting orders.
Taking my hand he pulled me out of the kitchen to the main office.
"There is actually an office?" I said looking around.
"Yes," he simply said opening a wall panel to reveal several clothing items all in my size. "I will leave you to freshen up and change," he said pointing to the bathroom.
Once done I found him on his iPad most likely doing some work from the serious scowl on his face.
Dr Diamond's office was thirty minutes away and luckily there wasn't any traffic. After checking in with the nurse who told us to wait we sat in the waiting room. There were other pregnant women in the room all very heavily pregnant. The air conditioner must have been down as several were fanning themselves with the pamphlets.
Draco stood up walking over to the only other gentlemen in the room. I don't know what they talked about but the other man stood up and they left the room together.
"Girl, your husband is one tall glass of ice cold water," a woman murmured as we watched the men leave the room.
"Oh no he isn't my husband. He is just a friend."
"Well honey, I need a friend like him," another chuckled making everyone laugh.
"So can you give a girl a number," the first one said as I looked at her appalled thinking, seriously you are already knocked up and you want another guy in your life.
Just them Draco returned with bottles of water whilst the other gentlemen had bottles of juice. A sigh of thank you's went around the room as they handed out the drinks. Handing over my bottle of orange juice and keeping the water I looked at him as he twisted the cap slowly drinking the water as I licked my lips feeling very thirsty.
A burst of laughter erupted from him as I realized he was now looking at me.
"All you had to do was ask," he said handing over the bottle.
Gladly accepting the bottle not even thinking that his lips had been around the mouth of the bottle I gulped down the liquid finishing the bottle as he looked at me trying not to laugh.
"What?" I asked him wiping my mouth.
"I missed you," he simply said.
Those three words had my heart racing as I felt heat rise to my face.
"Well I missed you too. Just a word of advice, don't temper with my life like that ever again," I said in a serious tone.
"Yes ma'am," he said with a mock salute making me laugh.
My name was called out and as Draco helped me up to my feet he said, "I will be waiting out here once you are done."
I started feeling nervous. What if my baby wasn't fine? I wondered thinking of the worst case scenarios.
"Do you want me to go in with you," he asked gently as I nodded my head yes shyly.
"Come on let's go," he said taking my hand.
"Good day Dr Diamond," Draco greeted the man.
"Ah Mr Prince. I see you brought my patient," he said with a smile that showed more of his wrinkles.
After wearing the gown and lying on the table Draco smiled seeing my nervous expression as he took my hand giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"So how have you been?" The doctor asked.
"Well I am less exhausted now, but I feel butterflies in my stomach here and there. Is that normal?"
"Those butterflies are most likely from the baby kicking," he chuckled.
Pulling up my shirt he applied the gel and placed the wand thingy on my stomach. I turned to the screen as an image appeared. Now from what I can see you baby is the size of an avocado meaning you are in your second trimester already," he said as I nodded my hand in confirmation.
Draco kept his eye on the screen looking at the image. The doctor turned the speakers on as the heartbeat filled the room.
"There is your little bundle of joy," he said pointing at the screen. Would you like a picture?"
"Yes," we both said simultaneously.
Printing out the image he handed it over to Draco as I cleaned off the gel.
Giving me some privacy to change I walked out of the room to find Draco talking with the doctor as the old man chuckled at his serious expression before he turned to leave.
"Here you go," he said handing me the picture.
"Thank you," I murmured as realization settled in that I was actually going to have this baby.
Sitting quietly in the car we left the clinic heading to an unknown destination.
"Draco, can we stop for some milkshakes," I said seeing a diner on the way.
He obliged my request turning the car around. Settling into a booth a waitress came over to take our orders as I ordered large fries and a chicken and mayo grilled sandwich.
"I thought you said you wanted a milkshake," he teased.
"Well I wanted the milkshake the baby wanted the fries and sandwich," I said.
Shaking his head with a smile gracing his face he nursed his milkshake as I ate my food.
"So what are you going to do with the rest of your afternoon."
"Spend it with you," he said.
"Well I was thinking of starting Lamaze classes in a few weeks time," I said stirring my milkshake.
"Okay," was all he said.
"I will be moving out next week, I found an apartment within my price range. I finally got my paycheck from my old boss," she said.
"Oh, okay," he said with an unreadable expression. It frustrates me every time I couldn't read him.
"I wanted to ask if you could be my birthing coach," I said referring back to the earlier topic.
He looked at me with a frown.
"Are you sure about that?" He said
"Yes," I said receiving a smile from him as I sighed in releif.
At least he wasn't angry with me.
-----
"Where do you want this?" He asked as other men followed him into my little apartment.
"What is that?"
"I don't know it's the box you packed."
"Oh put that in my room," I said pointing out the direction as he directed the men to put the kitchen appliances in the kitchen. Once they were done Draco helped me unpack but before long there was a knock on my door as Dante stood holding bags of food.
"I heard you got your own place. So I thought why not come for a house warming," he said stepping into my apartment.
"Good you brought the food," Draco said walking into the kitchen shirtless as sweat dripped down his body.
I gulped taking in his appearance. He really was a sight to behold as I remembered the first time I saw him shirtless water dripping down his pecks.
"Put some clothing on brother," Dante said as I shook my head to clear any thoughts from last time.
My stomach decided to grumble right there and then making both men chuckle as Dante walked towards the kitchen.
"Why don't you sit down and watch a master at work," Dante said.
I looked at him just to make sure it was Dante because the last time we met he didn't talk this much.
Draco saw this and laughed. Don't mind him he was just missing his Belle," Draco teased.
"Belle?"
"Yes, his girlfriend," Draco said laughing.
"She is not my girlfriend. She is just a friend I am helping out. Pretty much like he is helping you," he said throwing a mischievous look in his brothers direction.
Draco sobered up once he saw the direction the conversation was heading.
"Wait why haven't I ever heard you mention a girlfriend," I asked Draco.
"That's because I am currently single," he said giving me a wink as he turned to leave the room heading to her room.
"Call me when dinner is ready!" He yelled.
Dante was actually very much like his brother as I got an insight into their life. The way they spoke about their mother clearly showed they loved her. I wanted to meet the woman who had brought up such men. Both handsome gentlemen, great cooks, caring and kind, God fearing men. Husband material indeed.
Sitting around my small kitchen table we shared high school stories laughing at how we were all not so popular with the cool kids.
"I will come back tomorrow to help you finish unpacking. Don't you even dare think about unpacking once we leave," Draco said, more like threatened. Walking into my room I found he has finished preparing my room. All my clothes hung up, bed made, bedside lamp connected, bathroom towels already folded and awaiting use in the bathroom.
"Good night gentlemen," I said.
"Ma'am," they said bowing slightly making me laugh.
"Take care tesoro," Draco said kissing my cheek.

Draco's POV
"Thank you for the help brother," I said once we reached my apartment.
"Sure, no problem at all. I just arrived from Italy, everything is going according to schedule, we should open in a weeks time."
"That's fantastic news. Now here is an update of what has been going on," I said as I told him the event s of my first week.
"This Sebastian fellow, is he going to be a problem."
"Oh no, nothing I cannot handle. However I still need to find out who is behind the stolen funds."
"I would just leave it, the company is already sinking on its own making our work easier."
"Yes but we still need to gain their trust, work up the ladder. I am already up, but I still have a few more steps to climb."
"You are right. So how will you proceed. Reveal the missing funds then what?"
"I will go to Sebastian talk to him about this. If my hunch is correct he is behind this," I said.
"If he is, he will know you are onto him."
"Hmmm you are right. What if I was to request a meeting? Make sure old men Blake is there," I said as my brother smiled.
"That could work. How will you bring the old dog down from his mountain to the ground.
"Well the ground is full of frustrated employees. Remember that accountant I embedded."
"Yes."
"Well let's just say, rumor has it people aren't getting paid this month," I said with a chuckle knowing Monday was definitely going to be chaos. "Plus I have a great idea, and with Belle's help it might just work. Well her company name only, she will not be involved one bit," I said seeing him become tense at the mention of Belle.
