"What are we doing here?" Angela asked, more like whispered as they entered the establishment.
"Just stopping by to see if my newest purchase was worth it," he murmured with a smile as the maître d' walked up to them with a wide smile.
"Good afternoon sir. May I have your name please," he said opening his reservations book.
"D Prince," he said as the man looked up at him in surprise.
"Please follow me sir."
After being shown to their private table which was away from everyone else he pulled out her chair as she hesitantly sat down.
"How did you manage to buy this place. It must have cost a fortune."
"Don't worry yourself about the money. A few wise investments here and there allow me live a comfortable life," he said as their waiter arrived.
"Angie," the young man whispered as Draco cleared his throat not liking the way the man was looking at her.
"Please ask the manager to attend this table," Draco said glaring at the waiter who nodded and quickly left.
Turning to look at Ela he found her looking a bit pale.
"Who is he?"
"My ex-boyfriend, Franklin," she whispered playing with the fork before her.
"Let's play a game shall we?" He said with a mischievous smile.
"What do you have in mind?" She asked not loving the look on his face.
"Would you like to be the future Mrs Prince for the next hour or two as we dine here."
"Pretend to be your fiancé," she said in shock as he nodded his head yes. "There is no harm in pretending is there?" She said making him chuckle.
The manager walked in a few seconds later looking flustered.
"Ah good you are here," Draco said as the man looked at Ela in confusion. "I must see the chef before we order, my fiancé is very picky about what she eats," he said as they heard a crash behind the manager. Her ex had dropped the tray to the ground, shock all over his features.
"Forgive my clumsiness," he mumbled going on his knees as he gathered the chunks of ice and glassware.
Ignoring him Draco continued, turning to the manager he snapped his fingers drawing him out of his daze.
"As I was saying my fiancé is very picky about her food. So please, the chef," he said turning to smile at her.
"No darling you don't have to bring the chef here, I am sure I will find something edible from their menu," she said softly.
"Very well my love," he said taking her hand bringing it to his lips before a menu was handed over to each of them.
Franklin returned waiting to take their orders as Draco signaled for the manager to changer their table setting. Scooping her up in his arms he held her in his arms as their changed the table settings.
"You do know we could have just moved our chairs right," she whispered into his ear as he smirked.
"Yes we could have, but this is more fun," he murmured against her lips as Franklin looked at them with a frown.
She smiled in satisfaction seeing him become agitated. Sitting down beside each other he fed her as Franklin and the manager stood waiting on them.
"Tell me again cara mia, why were you dismissed from your job?" He asked looking up at the manager visibly swallowed beads of sweat forming.
"They refused to pay me my money," she said as he looked at her.
"Hmmm is that so," he murmured cutting his well done steak to feed it to her. "I'll fix the problem," he said with a devious grin.
She opted for a hot beverage afterward but soon regretted this as her stomach churned once she smelled the coffee. Shooting out of her chair she ran to the ladies throwing up all the contents of her stomach. Slumped against the seat she felt a hand gently rub her back.
"So when were you planning on telling me you are with child?" He murmured helping her up as they walked over to a sink.
"I...I didn't want to burden you," she whispered.
"Does Franklin know?"
"It's not his baby," she said as tears ran down her cheeks.
He decided to not push further about the baby's father as he consoled her. Pulling apart he took her hand to lead her out of the bathroom but she must have been too tired as she swayed after one step. Lifting her into his arms he carried her out of the restaurant taking her home.

Angela / Ela's POV
I woke up in the same room I had slept in the previous night just as Draco walked in with elderly gentleman.
"Ah good you are finally awake. This is Doctor Edmond. I called him to check up on you, in your condition."
"How are you my dear," he said with a warm smile.
"Fine thank you sir," I murmured looking at Draco who had a worried expression.
"What time is it?"
"Four fifteen," he said.
"Mr Prince tells me you are pregnant, how far long are you may I ask?" The doctor asked after a few second of silence.
"About three months," I whispered as Draco slowly left the room to give us some privacy.
"Have you started taking any prenatal vitamins?"
"Yes," I replied as we went through the basic questions. "The smell of coffee just upset my stomach I already have anti-emetics.
He was a friendly doctor and compared to the one I had seen previously I wouldn't have minded him being my doctor for the duration of the pregnancy, which is what we decided.
"Is everything alright," Draco asked as soon as we walked into the living room.
"Yes. She is perfectly fine. She will need to come in for her first ultrasound in, let's say next week Friday?"
"Friday will be perfect," Draco said relieved as he showed the doctor out.
A few minutes later he came back with a piece of paper in his hands which he tucked away in his pocket. Not wanting to be nosey I let it be as he took my hand leading me into the kitchen.
A bowl of chicken soup with mushroom was placed in front of me as he went on to man the stove. I have to say it tasted divine.
"Did you make this?"
"Yes ma'am," he said with a smile.
"It's really, really good," I say taking another spoonful.
A few minutes late a plate of spaghetti covered in a rich sauce was placed before me. My salivary glands went into overdrive just looking at the plate.
"Cheese?" He asked.
"Where have you been all my life?" I murmured as he started sprinkling cheese over my plate as he laughed at my remark.
"Eat up then once done you can rest."
"Wait aren't you going to join me?"
"I would have loved to but I have a few errands to run and need to get started on work," he said sadly.
"I will make us supper," she said seeing a smile form on his face.
"That I look forward to. I need to know what I'm up against in the kitchen," he said giving her a wide smile.
An hour or so later I heard him return as I walked out of the kitchen wearing one of the aprons I had found.
"Hi," I said as he turned to look in my direction, a smile breaking on his face.
"Did you even get some rest?" He asked walking over to me.
"Sure did. Just started working on dinner. I think I am in love with your kitchen," I said making us both laugh.
"Just as long as you don't burn this place down, you can use it all you want. Here I got you these," he said handing over the bag as I peeked in finding more prenatal vitamins and other things I would need.
"Thank you," I said surprised by this gesture.
"If you need me, I will be in my office," he said.
------
"Listen Sal I need you to send me the files I requested an hour ago, don't test my patience. You are walking on very thin ice," he said in frustration looking up to find Ela standing by his door.
"Is everything alright?" I asked him seeing worry etched on his face.
"Yes. Everything is good," he said shutting his laptop and getting up.
Walking towards me with a smile I couldn't help but smile back. His smile was just infectious and I counted my blessings in having a friend like him. He hadn't demanded anything from me, just offered his help until I got back on my feet and to top it off I might soon have a job meaning I could move out and give his space.
"Okay I must say, I have no words to describe your culinary skills, they are just out if this world," he said slicing his beef.
"Thank you. Do you think if I were to apply I would definitely get the job?"
"You will get the job, if you don't find one I will hire you as my personal chef," he chuckled.
Enjoying their meal he placed the dishes in the dishwasher afterwards before she retired to her room and he to his office to get more work done.
Sunday was a slow day spent, going to church and then relaxing. I was surprised when he woke up to prepare for the morning service. Luckily there was a cathedral close by. The clothes he had bought for me had arrived earlier than usual that morning and after arguing with him over this outrageous gesture I finally gave in once I fell in love with a white and gold number.

Draco's POV
Monday came all to fast, I was excited at the prospect of setting in motion what my brother and I had planned. Leaving the house for work I left Ela fast asleep placing a note beside her pillow informing her of my departure.
"Mr Prince I presume?" Sebastian Collins said in a flat tone.
"Yes sir," I said with a slight nod.
"Come, let me show you to your office," he said walking away from me.
We came to an open office that had the basic necessities.
"Here you are," Sebastian said.
Anyone could tell that he didn't want to do this as he walked away without another word.
Looking at the furniture a sighed. I guess this would have to do if my plan was to work. Placing my laptop on my desk I opened the blinds to see a clear view of the city. The lighting made a difference in the dull office.
"Good morning sir, my name is Regina. I will be your secretary from today and onwards," said the perky brunette with an adorable smile.
"Good morning. It's a pleasure to meet you Regina," I said walking towards her and shaking her hand. "How long have you worked here?"
"Two years sir."
"That's lovely to hear," I said thinking she would definitely knows the inns and out of this company or at least know someone.
"May I ask, can one change the coat of paint in their office, this one is a bit dull," I said pointing out the grey walls.
"Of course sir, it is your office. Now sir I have to show you the different departments as well as their heads of department. Then you have an intimate meeting with just the heads in about two hours time."
"Very well. Lead the way Gina. Is it okay if I shorten your name."
"No problem at all Mr Prince," she said with a smile as I followed her out of my office.
Being introduced to the different departments time flew by and before I knew it my meeting had ended. Giving Regina an extra hour of lunch I stayed back going through the reports I had received form each section head.
"Mr Prince, call on line one," Gina's voice came over the speaker snapping me out of my work.
"Sir there is a woman down here claiming to be your friend. Please come down and verify," the security head said.
Mumbling a string of curses at being interrupted I grabbed my jacket leaving my office.
"Good afternoon Mr Prince," two women chorused as I walked into the elevator.
"Afternoon ladies," I said politely pressing the ground floor button.
Walking into the lobby I spotted the security head standing beside Ela. He seemed to be giving her a hard time as she stood looking lost and worried.
"Ela," I said with a smile leaning down to kiss her cheek in greeting as relief washed over her. "What's the problem. Why didn't they allow you up?"
"I'm sorry sir. We didn't have her name on the visitors list. No one can enter the building without clearance."
"She is my friend. Let her through anytime," I said with a scowl.
"I'm sorry for making trouble Draco," I heard Ela say beside me.
"Oh it's nothing tesoro," I said sending her a wink as I led her to the elevators with her hand in mine. I couldn't help but notice how perfectly it fit in mine. She had on a red dress top with leggings underneath.
"So how is your first day going?"
"Not bad at all, so far so good," I said smiling at her.
"That's fantastic news. I knew your day would be good."
"You knew?"
"Yeah I have a sixth sense about these things, like right now I have a feeling you are going to be showering me with complements," she said her eyes sparkling as she smiled.
"Really. Now why would I do that?"
"Well let's see. Did you go for lunch?" She asked as we stopped at my floor leaving the elevator.
"Gina this is my good friend Angela. Ela this is my secretary Regina," I said introducing both ladies before leading her into my office.
"Wow, it's...it's very..."
"Dull. I know but that will be fixed. Now in answer to your earlier question. No I did not go for lunch, why?"
She placed her bag on the table producing a bottle of Ceres grape juice and several containers of food.
"How about we leave the complements and I shower you with kisses," I said pulling her into my arms.
"Very funny Mr Prince," she giggled as I pecked both her cheeks. Now I insist you eat with me. There is not way I finish all of this."
"You had me at 'eat'," she chuckled taking a seat across from me.
"So what color are you going to go for," she asked looking around the office.
"I'm thinking a light blue and then adding some art pieces."
"Hmm. What about your desk?"
"The usual, pen holder, plank with my name, laptop, file holder."
"Family pictures?" She said making me frown.
"Oh no, but I have one picture in mind," I said placing my fork down.
"Really?"
"Yes," I said walking towards her and pulling her out of her seat.
Standing behind her she started to giggle as I tried to get a selfie of us together failing to do so until she took the phone and took a perfect one of us.
"Let me leave you to work. Any requests for supper?" She said.
"Surprise me," I said with a warm smile helping her pack up the remainder of the food.
She had a mischievous smile on her face making me regret my words.
"What time will you be home?" She asked as we walked out of my office.
Seeing the ladies from earlier I groaned knowing they would soon be flirting with me but was surprised when Ela linked our arms leaning into me.
"You are going to have to pay me for this," she mumbled.
"Hmmm my new insect repellent," I said earning a punch from her as she laughed.
"Double the payment after that comment," she said as the elevator doors closed.
After leaving her in Caine's hands I returned to work. Before long it was already six pm. Having lost track of time I left in a hurry. I arrived home to the smell of something heavenly. I knew then and there I could get used to her staying with me if this is what I got back to. She didn't hear me come in because of the loud music as Love Myself by Hailee Steinfeld played. I held in my laughter as I watched her bounce around the kitchen not noticing me. Turning around I left her to change out of my clothes and freshen up. It was a good thing I had moved a few of my clothes into another room leaving her to use mine.
As we were having supper I willed myself to look very serious as I said, "So have you ever though of dancing instead of cooking," I said bursting into laughter at her appalled expression.
"Oh my gosh, please don't tell me you saw that," she blushed covering her face.
"Well part of it, would have loved to see how the routine started out though," I laughed as she threw her napkin at me just as my phone rang.
"Prince, where are those documents you were looking over there are some figures I need to check," Sebastian barked.
"They are in my office, I will bring them to you first thing in the morning," I said slowly getting frustrated when he said he wanted them now.
"Don't wait up for me bella," I said standing up putting on some loafers before heading back to the office.
I knew aging brought on a lot of changes but Sebastian had to cool down. I found him in his office handing him the documents and turning to leave without another word.
The following day I went over the company accounts noticing something awfully strange. An unnoticeable sum of money was transferred to an unknown account each month somehow no one saw this. After calling in one of the junior accountants we had placed here a few months back, he told me that when he mentioned it to the manager he was quickly brushed off.
------
"Brother when do you return?" I said after pleasantries.
"In a day or two."
"Good. Hurry up. We need to go see uncle Oliver," I said my mind reeling with a hunch I had. "Caine I need you to run an errand for me. Remember that little restaurant you left us, call Angelo and tell him we need to renovate that place today," I said hanging up the call.
Calling a local paper I asked them to place an add for a chef, leaving out the restaurant details just the name, Angioletto."
Working hard and fast I left the office my mind still reeling over who could be behind the stolen money.
Pulling up to the restaurant I found several men placing new furniture around the restaurant and some polished glassware to perfection. Going into the kitchen I nodded in approval seeing the newly installed equipment as discussed with Angelo. She would definitely enjoy this kitchen I thought to myself as Angelo walked up to me looking cheerful as always.
"How is everything?"
"Top notch as always Mr Prince. You finally decided to go into the restaurant business."
"It's for a friend," I said.
"Some lucky friend they are," he mumbled appreciating his work.
"I need a new coat of paint in my office. Send two of your men to this address. The security know they are coming," I said handing him my new business card.
Leaving them to finish up, I went home to spend a quiet evening with Ela. Tonight I provided our meal.
Holding the morning paper she scanned through the jobs section squealing in delight when she saw the ad. I smiled at her enthusiasm as she begged me to drop her off at the restaurant. Among an excuse I told her Caine would do so.
Whilst in my office my door swung open as an angry looking woman walked up to me.
"You did this, didn't you?"
"Did what?" I asked confused.
She threw the paper at me as I sat up straight seeing the ad.
"That was my old restaurant."
"Oh that. Well I need a good chef and you passed with flying colors. The old chef left saying it was time he retired," I said tuning back to my laptop screen.
"I will be moving out in a few days time," she said.
"Fine by me," I said absent mindedly.
Once she closed the door that's when I realized what she had just said. If only I could turn back time.
