My Encounter
I woke to a big, bushy paw prodding me awake. I blink in confusion as I open my eyes to find myself in a strange forest, everything a different shade of blue. I quickly stand up and look around, the pain in my limbs nothing but a distant memory. I somehow knew where I was even though I had realized that this wasn't a dream that I've had before.
The question soon came to me of who prodded me awake. I look around myself, taking in more of the mythical forest. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice this tall, wolf-like creature standing in the shade of a tree that was looming over him. His eyes were a striking light-blue color, seeming as if a pair of wandering eyes were dancing in the dark shade of the dark-blue tree.
I hold my breath as a long snout and the blue eyes, followed by a big, furry bodied creature emerged out from under the cover of the shade of the mythical tree. It approached me, its eyes looking into mine as it approached slowly, pawstep after pawstep. I was rooted to the ground, my claws digging into the soft, moss covered Earth. I suddenly realized that I somehow wasn't scared at all. For my muscles were starting to relax and my heartbeat was slowing.
As the creature fully came out of the shadows and sat down in front of me, I finally was able to get a good look at the creature. It was a few feet taller than me, making it have to look down to me and for I to have to look up to it. It also had long, thick, grey fur that covered its entire body. Its tail was that of mine, but had the sides of the tip lined with a series of blue and white feathers. Its grey face had the features of that of a wolf, except for that the symbol that Coal had marked on the door, was imprinted with darker grey fur on it's forehead. It's paws were as big as a lion's but were thinner and longer than the kind. On the creature's sides were big blue and white wings that were held closely to it's sides. It cleared it's voice and spoke in a voice that was as smooth as warm honey.
"Lucy, do not tell of my existence to any being except for Dusty and Coal. In a few days' time, you will visit me once more in your dreams. Dusty will have dreamt of me as well as you had, but will be given a temporary power. Please tell Coal that it is time for our plan to take effect once you see him again." The creature bowed his head to me and looked into my eyes, sending a shiver throughout my body. "Good luck" He whispered.
