'Recently, I've been thinking.... What have I been doing?'

"The furnace is ready!" Yoko happily exclaimed as he wiped his sweat.

"Here's the rice bowl." Satou said as he held on the bowl he just washed.

"Thank you for your help. Both of you." Their upper senior thanked as he lifted up a firewood. "All that's left is the veggies."

"Oh... The vegetables were Kou's responsibility." Yoko told him as he and Satou lead the senior to a shed near the green house.

The three paused as they saw the young exorcist staring blankly at nothing. A knife in his hand and a peeled potato on the other.

"....Is he always like that?" The senior asked Yoko.

"No...."

'Senpai's lifespan.....Mitsuba's promise....' Kou thought. His mind was confused. He has a lot of responsibility, it was either Mitsuba, Yashiro, his training as an exorcist or his current task. 'What should be my top priority right now?!

Even as I'm doing this, Senpai's lifespan is decreasing!'

"Forget about my lifespan until the overnight study us over~ Let's just focus on this for now~"

'Well, Senpai did say that...' The boy remember how Hatsume splashed Yashiro with water. Even though the female seventh mystery had a blank expression, Yashiro was laughing as she tried to block the water. 'I'm really worried....'

Kou look down, putting the knife down. Subconciously placing his hand un to the fabric of his black shirt where his heart was, feeling a slightly ache when his thoughts drifted off to the older white and green haired female.

'I wanted to consult with Teru-nii, but he hasn't been home recently. And the spider still refused to tell me about the future. Aoi-senpai is still weird...'

"Kou!" The blonde jolted up, suprised when a hand pat his back. Turning around he made eye contact with his two friends. "Are you okay?"

"Yoko...Satou.."

"You shouldn't hold a knife if you feel sick." Yoko grinned.

"I can do it for you." Satou offered.

"I'm sorry...You're right. I can't do anything right today..." Kou looked down, feeling ashamed of himself. Even his behavior was causing his friends to worry.

"You said it yourself." Yoko laughed.

"Yeah, you're pretty useless." Satou added, bluntly.

"Sorry..." Kou apologized, making the two stare at each other before looking back at him.

"Don't worry about it!" Yoko grinned as he slapped Kou's back, in a friendly matter.

"Just buy us some juice and we'll be over it." Satou told him.

"You guys...."

"Plus some chocolate." Satou added, making Kou deadpanned.

"Well, we should be done for now. Just ask the senpai if there's anything else to do." Yoko told them.

"Leave it to me!" Kou said as he run out of the shed.

"It's rare." Satou spoke up once Kou was out of their sight. "It feels like Kou is always running around without thinking. But these days, he seems very troubled. It would be easier if he just confided in us, but Kou never tell us anything."

"Maybe he's just that type?" Yoko asked him, obliviously.

"No. You wouldn't understand." Satou went back chopping some vegetables that was suppose to be the young exorcist's task.

"Okay then?"

The two was unaware of a certain pink haired supernatural, eavesdropping in their conversation from the mirror.

"Minamoto-kun is a piece of crap." Mitsuba said, boredly. Appearing infront of Kou through the mirror just as the blonde was washing his hands.

"Hah?" Kou stared at his ghost friend in disbelief. Mitsuba jumped out of the mirror and landed besides him. "Can you not scare me?"

"No way. I've been bored the entire day." Mitsuba answered. "Minamoto-kun, why are you here by yourself? No friends?"

"That's wrong. I didn't have anything else to do this evening." Kou told him, feeling a little annoyed as he continued washing his hands. "So I came here."

"Oh. So then. Minamoto-kun, what's troubling you?" Mitsuba asked, leaning a little closer.

'Eh...Imposible...Is this guy actually worried about me....?!' Kou thought in disbelief, unaware that Mitsuba was still talking to him.

"What I'm trying to say is... I haven't seem Smol-bean-senpai or Radish-senpain in a while..."

'No, there's no way my wish would come true that easily....This makes me kinda nervous.'

"I don't actually hate Radish-senpai! And Smol-bean-senpai is always busy with those pink bunnies! Can I talk to you about it?!"

'...This isn't good...This guy makes me so anxious....' Kou slapped his cheeks, still not hearing what Mitsuba was talking about. His thoughts drifted to Hanako's twin brother, Tsukasa. 'I won't let that guy fool me again!! I need to be firm, I don't have anyone else I can rely on.'

"Minamoto-kun, Are you listening to me?!" Mitsuba shouted, angrily only to be shaken back and forth by the said blonde exorcist.

"Mitsuba!"

"Ah?! What?!"

"I'm Okay! I'm not troubled! I want all your wishes to come true! That's why..." Kou grinned, giving the ghost a thumbs up. "You don't have to do anything! Just sit back and relax!"

Mitsuba stared at him weirdly and creeped out.

"Ow! What are you doing?!" Kou grunted in pain as the pink haired supernatural kicked him away from him.

"Minamoto-kun-" Mitsuba was about to shout when Kou suddenly placed a hand on his mouth, gesturing him to be quiet.

"Wait...Did you hear something weird?" Kou asked, standing on guard as  he looked at his surrounding.

That's when they heard a scream.

"Was that a scream?" Mitsuba asked.

"It's over here!" Kou took his staff disguised in an umbrella and run to the source.

He slammed the door of a classroom open, Mitsuba right behind him, in his Third Mystery form. "What's wrong? Are you okay?!"

Both his and Mitsuba's eyes widened to see a huge fish like supernatural, eating a student whole.

"He-.....Help...me..." The student manage to say just as he was swallowed. The two stared at the supernatural for a few seconds before realized what was going on.

"You Bastard!!" Kou yelled, activating his staff's lightning. He jumped up, his staff ready to release the lightning. "You're not allowed." He shocked it, with incredible high voltage. "To eat students!!"

"Oh...Ooh!? Go get 'im!" Mitsuba cheered. "I want to join too!"

Kou jumped off of the supernatural after it was fried and disappeared.

"Ah...That was close."

"Are you okay?" Kou asked as he helped up the student that was thrown on to the desks.

"I thought I was going to die-"Natsuhiko laughed.

"Eh?! It's the Airhead-senpai!" Mitsuba said in complete shock. He was now back into his normal form.

"Mitsuba-chan?" The brunnet glance at the ghost boy, a little suprised.

Kou looked confused.

"Yo! Funny meeting you here!" Natsuhiko just then gave the poor ghost a noogie.

"You....know each other?" Kou asked, just as Mitsuba pushed the older boy away.

"My name is Hyuuga Natsuhiko. The kind and cool, Onii-san!" The brunnet introduced, beginning to act cooly infront of Kou. He run a hand into his hair and winked. "I am here to solve all your problems. Nice to meet you, Kouhai-kun."

Kou stared at the posing senior with so much suspicion. He then approached Mitsuba and whispered. "Hey, Mitsuba....Who is he...Don't you think there's something off about him?"

"Hey,Hey,Hey." Natsuhiko came inbetween them, slinging his arms around the younger boys' shoulders. "Want to hear something cool? How about a scart story?"

Kou was now really annoyed. He grabbed the pink haired supernatura by his arm and dragged him to the classroom exit. "Let's go, Mitsuba. Don't talk to guys like him."

"Ok."

"Oh, Leaving already?....Yashiro Nene-chan. She has a shortened lifespan, right?" Natsuhiko asked, making Kou stop from his track, just by the mention of the girl he slowly started falling for, caught his attention. Seeing this, Natsuhiko smirked. "Too bad, she's so cute. The secret to Longevity, I can teach it to you."

Kou look back. "What the hell are you talking about?

"Wait. There's a bad energy coming from here." Natsuhiko approached them. "If you're interested, let's talk somewhere else. Let's work together."

"Work together?" The young exorcist furrowed his eyebrows. The upperclassman was a stranger to him, so why would he want to side with a junior like him?

"No. 6 of the seven mysteries. Let's catch him together." Natsuhiko proposed, grinning at the younger boy.

"Eh?"

"How did this happen?" Mitsuba deadpanned as him, Kou and Natsuhiko were now laying on three futons, inside the classroom with a few snacks and drinks.

"You didn't know, Mitsuba-kun? It's said that No. 6 is attracted to sleeping human souls." The upperclassman told him. "Once one of us falls asleep, the other two can wake up and catch him."

"I understand your plan, but....Who can sleep like this?!" Mitsuba exclaimed. "It's impossible for me to sleep in such environment!"

《15 minutes later...》

The pink haired boy was now fast asleep, leaving Kou and Natsuhiko to stare at him.

"He fell asleep first..." Kou commented, staring at his friend in annoyance and disappointment.

"Just like a cat." Natsuhiko said, amused of how things became. "Now....All we have to do is wait for No. 6."

The two layed in complete silent.

"Now that it's quiet, Do you want to hear some stories about Natsuhiko-senpai's heroism?" The upperclassman asked.

"I don't want to hear it!" Kou snapped, pointing an accusing finger towards the brunnet. "You bastard! What's your reason for wanting to catch No. 6?! Why does senpai know so much stuff about this?!"

"Aren't we suppose to be working as a team?"

"Dammit...I know we're supposed to be a team!! But I'm still not going to trust you that easily, You remember that!!"

《15 minutes later...》

"Master....Please let me call you, Master Natsuhiko...." Kou pleaded. His face hiding behind his hands. He then look back at the older male with so much admiration, after the brunnet had talked about his heroic deeds. ❨Lies. It's just a bunch of lies!❩ "Senpai has save so many people. Such power! I have so much respect for you!"

'Geez.' Natsuhiko sweatdropped when he saw some animal ears appeared on the boy's head, he coulf practically see an tail wagging repeatedly. 'I didn't expect him to react so strongly.'

"I was especiallt touched by the story of tje antarctic dog!" Kou cheered.

"Is that right..." The con man laughed.

"When I'm older, I want to become just like Teru-nii and Master." Kou smiled, looking at his hand. "I must improve my spirit.... I don't want to regret anything else..."

Natshiko stared at him with wide eyes. Mitsuba was still asleep at all of this.

"Alright then!" Natsuhiko sat up and slapped his knee. "Look like No. 6 still hasn't come. Now, the secret of Longevity that I mentioned earlier...."

"Eh? What is it master?!" Kou asked, excitedly, seemingly boosting Natsuhiko's ego.

"Children who work hard will get the answer....No 6 of the seven mysteries power....."

"Seven Mysteries' No. 6, Reaper-sama... The guardian of the underworld.... He is a monster who brings death to every living being..."

No. 6 walked through the bridge of his boundary towards the place where the sacrifice was last seen. Flowers wilted as he passed by.

"However, that's only one aspect of him...

The reaper placed his hand on a part of the giant centipede. In a blink of an eye, the giant critter was revived.

"He can bring a dead back to life..."

The critters he revived then jump back into the closing hole. No. 6 let out a sigh. "So many visitors... Well, beside the point, Hopefully that girl knows what she's doing."

His three minions began talking and suddenly began hitting one of them.

"Stop, Stop. That's right, I was the one who gave permission. It's my responsibility." No. 6 separate the two from the other. He turn into the huge hole where Aoi fell. "Over here, This is the only place in this world, Where the hole leads deep enough to the point of no return. When a living person falls into the hole, the body decays leaving the soul behind."

"But in the end, you were the one who did this to yourself." No. 6 walked away from the now closed hole. "I knew it, Kannagi-sama fell into the hole. All according to plan...."

A little Author's note... Its been like 2 years already since I last updated, and I'm really sorry for that. Its because I'm no longer in the TBHK fandom. This chapter was the last thing Ive finished before I completely left the fandom.
