'No. 3.... I-Is he....De-dead?...' Hatsume thought as her (e/c) orbs stared down in fear and worry, at the bloody supernatural infront of her. Yashiro Nene was next to her with a horrified expression.

'Hanako-kun said, that the seven mysteries are unbeatable in their boundaries.' The daikon legged girl thought. 'But Tsukasa-kun took it down... When Hatsume-chan has been struggling to defeat it, he took it out like it was nothing!'

"You know..." Tsukasa started making the two girls jolted up in fright. The younger twin walked towards the pink haired boy on the ground. "I thought I told you, Mitsuba. You can't stay in the mortal world because you're too weak and pathetic."

Mitsuba sniffles as Tsukasa continued, going back to the corpse of the third mystery. "So if you don't wanna to disappear, You have to work hard and get stronger." He then felt the chest of the mystery. "Hmmm, Should be around here somewhere."

He then jabbed his hand to the third's chest, making Hatsume flinched. Yashiro stared at her in worry as the female seventh mystery trembled at the sight.

"If you want to get stronger...." Tsukasa raised the bloody heart high up as it was a trophy. "You have to beat up strong supernaturals and eat 'em!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"...So? Why are you bothering me with this?" The fifth school mystery, Tsuchigomori asked with no interest, what so ever.
"Because! It's been two hours since they took Hatsume and Yashiro! And I can't get into No. 3's boundary!" Hanako exclaimed in panicked. Minamoto Kou was behind him nodding furiously.
"The kid and I even tried begging on hands and knees, for No. 3 to let us in, but it didn't work!"
"PLEASE, SPIDERFACE!!" Kou finally shouted.
"Sensei..." Hanako whispered to the young exorcist's ear. Wanting not to anger the fifth, or he might not help them.
"SPIDERFACE-SENSEI!"
This ticked, Tsuchigomori. "You little...."
"I can't..." Tsuchigomori stared at Hanako who look down helpless and hurt.
".....I can't let Yashiro or Hatsume get hurt. Yashiro's our Assistant....And....I can't loose Hatsume again." Hanako said, frowning. He then look up towards his former sensei. "Tell me, Tsuchigomori...Won't you?"
Tsuchigomori could see the vulnerability in the male seventh mystery's eyes. He know how hurt his former student was when he lost her. The boy nearly lost his own sanity, she was the one who kept him sane.
The spider like man could see it. He truly does love her.
The girls meant a lot to him. Yashiro was the only first friend, he manage to make besides his other half. Hatsume on the other hand, was the love of his life, he really needs her. Tsuchigomori sighed.
"Well, I do have an idea." The tall man then took out, The former second school mystery, Yako who was snoozing in the nearby shelf. He then tossed her towards to the two boys. Luckily, Hanako manage to caught her.
"No. 2? Why?" Hanako stared at Yako who now awake and staring back at him.
"Heare me out..." Tsuchigomori started making the two boys stare back at him. "The seven mysteries' boundaries each serve to oversee a certain aspect of the school. My bookstacks manages 'Records', The Clock Keepers manages 'Time', And No. 2 manages 'Space'.
If you go through her boundary, you can get pretty much anywhere in the school."
Kou stared at his sensei with disbelief as Hanako emotionlessly stared at the white fox, then to Tsuchigomori.
"And that means, we can get to No. 3's boundary too?" Hanako asked as he held Yako.
"Pretty much."
"But I thought Senpai busted up No. 2's boundary!" Kou commented.
"Oh that. All she really did was take away her right to manage it." Tsuchigomori answered. "The boundary itself still exists, but with Its overseer gone, it's probably a mess. Isn't that right, Echinococcus?"
"Shut up, Emo spider." Yako spat. "And why should I have to help you anyways? I couldn't careless what happens to-"
"Kitsune Udon."
Hanako gave the little white fox a innocent menacing glare as he playfully waved his knife towards her.
"It's not my prob-"
"UdOn."
The male seventh mystery lean closer to her level, sending shivers to Yako's spine as she came face to face with the ghost boy's darkened face.
"......Fine...."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Let's see..." The two boys plus Yako, stared at the staird infront of them. "This is it, right?"

"Here we go." Yako went up first.

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

"Four." And on the fourth step, the sound of water, splashing was heard. The two boys stared at their surroundings with awe.

"It's-" Hanako look at the flowers that surrounds the endless stairs.

"Woah! It's so pretty now!" Kou said in complete amazement.

"Shut up." Yako, now back to her humanoid form said, holding her lantern forward. "I'll show you to No. 3's boundary. Don't get lost."

The boys followed the woman, going up through the seems endless stairs in complete silence. Kou decided to spoke up.

"Hey, Fox?"

"What do you want, stupid brat?"

"You know how before your rumors changed, and you went  totally crazy?" Kou asked. "And you attacked me and the other students?"

"You do like to dig up unpleasant memories, don't you?" Yako slightly twitched, turning towards the blonde exorcist. "What's your point?"

"Oh it's just... I was wondering... what that felt like..." Kou muttered, silently. But Yako heard it loud and clear.

"Whaaa?! Why would you wanna know that?! Talk about poor taste!" The former second mystery snapped. "I knew Misaki was the only human worth anything! The rest are lower that insects!"

"Well, you see...The kid had a ghost friend who disappeared when his rumor changed." Hanako said. "And He can't forget about him."

Hanako smiled innocently. "He's kinda like you, Isn't he, No. 2?"

"How so...?" Yako stared at them for a brief moment. "....Well, It didn't feel good. Atleast not when I look back on it now... But...

It was definitely me. Just because I went berserk doesn't mean I became someone else. There was a side of me that I usually kept bottled up... And it was dragged out of me by force."

"...Okay..." Kou muttered, staring at the photo album he was holding.

"And so, If you tried to say anything to that friend of yours... Even if he didn't understand it, It still reached him probably." Yako said. "I mean, it doesn't matter how warped he was. Or even if he'd changed shape. That boy was still that boy."

Hanako watched silently as Kou clenched the book tightly on his hand. He then scratched his sealed cheek.

"You know... I tried to hurt, (Y/n)-chan that time..." Hanako looked up at the former second school mystery who held a remorseful look. "When she entered my boundary. I was hostile towards her, but she held on her gentle gaze, not even fazed when I glared at her."

Yako gave a menacing glare at the female seventh mystery infront of her. The piles of students that were turned to dolls remained still behind her.

Despite the second mystery's hostile look, the younger female held on her gentle and kind look as she slowly walked towards the older female.

"You m-must be No. 2." Hatsume gave her a warm smile. "I'm H-Hatsume of th-the toilet. Ni-nice to meet you!"

"Why are you here, Honorable Lady No. 7?" Yako asked, gritting her teeth.

Did Lord No. 7 send her here? Did they already found out that she's been taking some of the students? No! Just when she was closer on building her beloved back to life!

"I fol-followed that boy here." Hatsume stuttered out, gesturing towards the male who was now turned into a doll behind her. "I was really w-worried when h-he entered the bo-boundary, I really h-hoped that he's okay, they're a-all okay."

"They're still alive." Yako said. "Pretty pathetic these humans are, they can't even do one simple request. All of their creations were a complete failure."

"No. 2, wh-what you're doing is wrong." Hatsume said with a worried look. "Wh-why are you d-doing this? Pl-please bring th-them back, before Hanako could re-remove you f-from your seat. Th-there's still a cha-chance to make th-things right, please do it b-before everything is too late."

"WHO ARE YOU TO ORDER ME AROUND?!" Yako screeched, attacking Hatsume with her giant shears. "I'M ONLY DOING THIS FOR HIM! I WANT TO SEE HIM AGAIN, FOR HIM TO SCOLD ME AGAIN! I WANT HIM TO BE ANGRY AT ME AGAIN!"

"Who e-evver is this person is, he'll be rea-really upset if he f-finds you doing this!" Hatsume exclaimed trying her best to dodge her attacks. "He w-wouldn't like it of what you've become! Yo-you're just doing this for your own gain!"

Yako stopped attacking, as Hatsume's words echoed through her mind. Was she telling the truth? Does she only have been doing this for her self? For her own purposes?

Hatsume hesistatedly approached her. "He...wouldn't want you to hurt anyone just because of him." She stopped stuttering.

"I...He was... the only one who tried to approached me.." Yako muttered. " Misaki... tried to understands me, when everyone didn't..."

"Because... You were alone..." Hatsume said. "Not even you deserves to be alone. No one does."

"But he...left me..." Yako muttered. She then flinched when Hatsume grabbed her hands.

"He didn't want to leave, but he was forced to.." Hatsume explained. "He was human, right? Human dies when their time has come for an end. Some were even forced to take they're lives away."

"What does it means...To die....?" Yako asked.

"Well, It means to cease to exist or stop living..." Hatsume said, but then she felt a sudden pain as she then gripped her upper chest where the pain is.

"What's wrong?!" Yako stared in shock as the female seventh mystery suddenly fell on the ground. She quickly knelt down. "Lady No. 7!"

"S-sorry...No. 2..." Hatsume coughed out. Her figure suddenly became transparent. "I-I didn't want to l-let you see this, b-but I can't leave my boundary or Hanako's side for too long... Took me a d-day and a half to g-get up here..."

"What?!"

"I can only last away for three days..."Hatsume said. "Away from Hanako..."

"Why take the risk then?" Yako asked. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion and fustration. "Why bother come all the way here just to face me? When you knew that you can't leave and be apart from Lord No. 7?"

"Well, I ca-can't just ignore the fact that th-there's a fellow mystery hurting, when I know that I could help...." Hatsume gave her a heartwarming smile. "I don't want to leave you alone and suffering. I want you to know that, I'm here for you. Ready to comfort you and...To be your friend..."

Yako's eyes widened. She stared at the younger girl with a hint of happiness in her lime colored eyed. "Lady no. 7..."

"Call me...(Y/n)...that's my real name..." Hatsume muttered fighting over her conciousness.

"Then... My real name is Yako..."

The second school mystery watched as the other half of the seventh mystery lost conciousness.

Yako then stared at her hand that was interwined with Hatsume's. This made her chest warm, knowing that there's someone who actually willing to befriend her despite how rude and stubborn she was.

And that person was Honorable Lady No. 7. The other half of the brat that leads her and the other supernaturals. She was willing to try and understand her lonesome nature despite her attitude towards her.

Her kindness....Is similar to Misaki's... The man she loved...

"(Y/n)-chan... Thank you...." Yako muttered with a small sincere smile. "Honorable Lord No. 7 was right....You do have a heart of gold."

Hanako stared at Yako silently as she finished her small tale, so did Kou who still held the book tightly.

"After that, Honorable Lady No. 7 and I became really close. We would be together when we have some spare time, talking about random things... Like most women do these days. "Yako said with a hint of blush coating on her pale cheeks.

The three then stopped infront of a portal.

"I assume our chat is over?" Yako asked. "We've arrived... No 3's boundary is through here."

"Is that a mirror?" Kou asked. "I dunno. Looks kinda ominous."

"Just so you know, I'm not going any farther." Yako declaired. "You'll have to figure it out, how to get back on your own."

"Yeah! Thanks Fox-"

Yako cut Kou off by transforming into a fox and biting the right side of his face. Kou screamed.

"Quit calling me 'Fox'!!!!" Yako yelled. She then huffed. "You can call me, Yako-nee-san."

"N-nee-san..."

"Very Good.."

"You like that?" Hanako sweatdropped.

The two boys then stared at the portal mirror with determined looks.

"Well, are you ready, kid?" Hanako asked Kou as he gripped his most trusted knife.

"Yeah! Let's go bust up that mirror face!!" Kou exclaimed, adjusting his uniform's collar.

"Honorable Lord No. 7!" Yako shouted gaining Hanako's attention. "Make sure to bring back (Y/n)-chan, safe and in one piece!"

The male seventh mystery slightly smile and nodded. "I will..."

Hanako quickly transformed and Kou gripped his spirit staff harder, running towards the portal with determination.

"ALL RIGHT, LET'S GO!!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tsukasa's laughter echoed through the whole boundary as he forcefully tried to make Mitsuba eat the third school mystery's heart.
"See? Isn't this fun? Did you know supernaturals had them too? Hearts I mean?" Tsukasa laughed, ignoring the pink haired boy's pleas.
"N-no! Stop, Please! No!"
Hatsume could only watched in complete worry and fear. She really wanted to help Mitsuba, but she was too scared of approaching the boy who killed her.
As for Yashiro, well she's ready to interfere even though she was scared too.
"Now, say ahhhh!!!"
"STOP!" Both Hatsume and Yashiro screamed. The Ghostly girl stood protectively infront of Mitsuba as Yashiro gripped on Tsukasa's arm.
The pink haired boy stared with his pink teary eyas at the two girls with appreciation. "Smol-Bean-senpai... Daikon-senpai..."
"H-he doesn't want to... Okay?" Yashiro said with a hint of fear. But all of sudden, Tsukasa slammed her towards the flooded floor.
"Oh!" Tsukasa stopped her from falling. "Right. You supposed to be nice to girls."
He then lifted up his bloodied hand towards Yashiro's head, patting her." Sorry about that. There, There... You're a good girl so be quiet, okay?"
Hatsume's (e/c) eyes widened in horror as Tsukasa place a bloodied finger towards her assistant's forehead, making her faint. "NENE-CHAN!"
Tsukasa then appeared infront of her, smilling innocently. "Sorry, (N/n)-chan! She was in the way so..."
He did the same with her. "You are too! Nighty night!"
The younger twin caught her before she could hit the flooded floor. He then stared at her for a few moment before muttering. "No wonder Amane likes you, you're really are pretty up close..."
A mirror then shattered. Out came from the mirror was Hanako and Kou, who came screaming as they fell down with a loud thud.
"IS THIS IT?!" Kou exclaimed as he quickly stood up. "WHERE ARE THEY?! ARE THEY HERE?!"
"We're in the right place, kid. Calm down..." Hanako said, wiping his wet chin. He then noticed a figure leaning on the wall. "Oh...YASHIRO!"
The two boys quickly approached her. The male seventh mystery then listened closer to hear her snoring, making him sigh in relief. "I think she's just sleeping..."
"What a relief..." Kou sighed. But then realized something. "Wait... Isn't Hatsume suppose to be here with her?"
Hanako's eyes widened. He began looking around frantically. "HATSUME!! HATSUME, WHERE ARE YOU!!"
As Hanako was busy panicking. Kou then turn around noticing another figure infront of the huge shattered mirror. "Huh?" You...Are you?...."
"Mitsuba...?"
The said boy turned around, only to be seen covered with black feathers as the former third mystery was left only as bones.
FINALL AN UPDATE!
Sorry! I was suppose to update last week but I got too carried away playing Ultimate wolf simulator!😂
Anyways, I really didn't show how Yako and Hatsume/You became really close friends after the whole Misaki Stairs Arc, that's when I saw the opportunity to show a flashback here on this chapter.
Basically, Yako didn't harm her during Hatsume's time in the boundary and Hatsume was really didn't got kidnapped by her. She went inside the boundary by instincts when she saw that boy entered the second's boundary.
And basically, she also did the little scavenger hunt all by herself which took a day and a half to finish. And hers was also a complete failure.
Yako's first friend, aside from Misaki was obviously Hatsume. That explained why she was so nice to her after that little incident and always been trying to protect her like when she was insulted by the kodama tree. She really do treasured the friendship, Hatsume offered her although she would never admit it.
If you guys have any questiond regarding to Hatsume/You relationships with the characters feel free to ask me!
See ya in the next chapter!
