"So... You're....Interested in the seven mysteries?" The green haired girl asked.

"Uh...W-well....Something like that..." Yashiro lied. The girl picked up one of the books and read the cover.

"Hanako-san....Oh.... The cat like kid..."

"W-what?" Yashiro frozed. 'Does she already know?' She thought getting nervous.

The girl only made cat noises with her emotionless voice, Waving her hands on her head, as if attempting to copy a cat's ears.

"Capricious, Selfish.... And childish. Is yours like that too?" The girl asked her. A thought came into Yashiro's mind.

'Does she know Hanako-kun!? Capricious, selfish and childish?! He's never wanted me to baby him, not even with Hatsume-chan.... He's just clingy with her.'

She then gasped slightly. 'Wait... I know this scenario... I've seem this in a manga!

Just who is this girl?! Ack! Don't tell me she's...

Hanako-kun's girlfriend?!'

The daikon legged girl's head began to spin, she could feel herself getting dizzy from all of these possible scenarios.

'But.... I thought he liked Hatsume-chan... Is he a player?!

Is he just playing with Hatsume-chan's feelings?!'

"If you want to know more about him..." Yashiro was cutted off of her thoughts. "You should go and visit, Mystery number 5."

The girl then walked away, leaving the library with a brown haired boy Yashiro tried to catch up to her.

"Wait!-" All of sudden, She bumped into a teacher, making all of the things he was holding fall on the ground.

"W-what are you doing? You can't just do that. Running in the library is-" The teacher scolded but Yashiro only pushed him away.

"Please get out of my way." Yashiro said, as she then run to the door, outside the library.

"She's gone...." She muttered.

《The next day》

"The fifth of the school seven mysteries? Yes, I've heard of it." Aoi said as she was erasing the writings on the lecture board. Yashiro's face brightened.

"Really?! So what's the rumor?!"

"Oh Nene-chan~ You sure do like these stories." The violet haired girl teased. "All right, I'll tell you.

School Mystery Number 5: The 4pm Bookstack."

'In this school's library...

There's a special storeroom you can only enter at 4pm...

The room is full of books with people's names. Each of these books contains a record of the person's life at this school.

What they did here, and what they're going to do here...

Past, Present and the future; It's all written in the book...'

'It's all recorded...' Yashiro thought.

"Even things that haven't happened yet. Makes you curious, doesn't it? And maybe I wanna read other people's books too! Like Minamoto-senpai's." Aoi added. But Yashiro didn't seem to heard her, as she was still deep in thought.

'You should go see Mystery number five...'

'I guess she was telling me to go find Hanako-kun's book? Maybe I could find Hatsume-chan's, too.' She thought.

"What about you, Nene-chan?"

"Uh... I think I might wanna read someone else's book too.."

"Ofcourse you would! Because we all want to know about the boys we like! But....

If you do want to go the 4pm bookstacks, You have to be careful." Aoi whispered the last part.

"Careful?" Yashiro asked.

"There are three kinds of books in the bookstacks; White, Black and Red.

The white ones have the records of people who are still alive,

The Black ones have the records of people who are already dead."

"And those books are okay?" Yashiro asked, hsesitately.

"But the red books, are the ones which you should never, ever read."

Yashiro walked down the hallway, on her way to Hanako and Hatsume's bathroom. 'Mystery number five... If I could find Hanako and Hatsume's book there... I'd want to read it, to get to know them better.' Yashiro thought.

'But I don't know if I want to go there, myself...

There's something about that girl too... Is she really Hanako-kun's girlfriend? If she is, I'm gonna beat him up, for playing with Hatsume-chan's feelings!

Maybe I should talk it over with the two of them.. But then, I won't be able to read their books.'

"But this is so wrong, sir!" Yashiro heard a familar voice yelled. Turning around a corner, she then saw Minamoto Kou, arguing with a teacher. Infront of the bathroom she was going in.

"What's going on here?" Kou turned and grinned when He saw Yashiro approaching them. "Senpai! Good timing!"

"It's this guy! He's my homeroom teacher, and he's being mean!" Kou exclaimed, going behind the white haired female.

"Oh, Your the girl, who rammed into me yesterday." The teacher said.

"I-I'm sorry..." Yashiro started. "Um, Did Minamoto-kun did something?"

"Ah, no, I just have a favor to ask him."

"A favor?" Yashiro gulped, she could feel an unknown aura growing behind her.

"I was hoping, He would stop going into the girl's restroom. We're getting complaints from our female students." The teacher said. Earning a hiss from the boy behind her. She could have sworn she saw a pair of animal ears grow on top of his blonde hair.

"But I'm only doing it to protect the students! Right senpai?!"

"Well... I do think it's wrong for a boy to go into the girl's restroom." Yashiro sweatdropped.

"I'll report you, to your guardian." The teacher finally said making Kou groan in frustration.

"No! not you too, senpai! And those two aren't even here! How am I suppost to keep my promise to Teru-nii?!"

"Wait... Hanako-kun and Hatsume-chan aren't here?" Yashiro asked.

"I got here a few minutes ago, and found this." Kou said grabbing a piece of paper from his pocket and showed it.

It says. 'I'm off to a meeting! Go watch Hatsu-chan for me~' with terrible doodle of a dinosaur breathing fire towards two running stickman figures, an arm waving resembling Hanako's and his Tsueshiro.

"I don't even know where's Hatsume run off to.." Kou sighed.

"A meeting? with who?" Yashiro thought. The teacher whom they forgotten was still there with them decided to speak up.

"A meeting?! Minamoto-kun, what time is it?" By the tone of his voice, he was nervous.

"A little after four."

"Darn it! I had a meeting at four! Anyways, Minamoto-kun! Stop going into the girl's rest room!" The teacher run off quickly. A thought came into Yashiro.

'If Hanako-kun isn't here that means I don't have to clean the toilets, today? In that case..'

"Minamoto-kun!" The boy looked at her. "Do you know anything about the 4pm bookstack?"

The two are now inside the library, searching around.

"Sorry for making you come and search with me, Minamoto-kun..." Yashiro appologies. The boy only turned around quickly towards her and waved his hand, frantically.

"It's all right! I'll go through Hell or High water for you, senpai! And besides, I want to read their books too."

"Like to find out his weakness? Silly, Minamoto-kun are you still trying to exorcise him, aren't you? I thought you already knew that his main weakness is Hatsume-chan." Yashiro teased, making the boy blushed.

"I'm already done with that."

"What?"

"I-I mean, you know!! Y-you said it yourself, H-he's a good supernatural! E-especially if Hatsume is there t-to keep him in order! And besides... I mean....stuff happened... And I decided I wasn't going to exorcise him... Before I figure out if he's a good guy or not." Kou rambled.

"But when I stop to think about it, I realized that I know nothing about him. But if he really is a bad guy, I'm gonna exorcise him! So that's why I want to know his weakness!"

"Minamoto-kun.... That means We both wanted to get to know him, Hatsume even. That makes us partners." Yashiro grabbed both of Kou's hands and held them tight against hers. "So let's both do our best together!"

Kou blushed furiously, as an arrow pierced right into his heart. He frozed, unable to move as he stared at Yashiro.

"Minamoto-kun?"

"O-oh? You're here too?" Yashiro turned around to see a pair of (e/c) eyes, staring back at her. The ghost girl smiled kindly at the both of them, holding a book close to her chest.

"Hatsume-chan!" The daikon legged girl removed her hands from the frozen blonde boy and ran towards her spirit friend, hugging her tightly. The said girl returned the gesture.

"What are you doing here? I didn't see you the whole day." Yashiro pouted. By the time, Kou snapped out of his daze and stared at the ghost girl wondering when did she manage to arrive her. The (h/c) haired girl sweatdropped and smiled.

"I go to the library, once and a while to read the books they have in the shelves. I get a bit too interested in the words written so I might have managed to forget the time."

The two then noticed a black butterfly fluttered pass them and landed on one of the books on the shelves.

"A butterfly?" Yashiro muttered, going near the insect. She then reached to grab the book.

"U-um...Nene-chan, don't touch that..." Hatsume tried to warn. But The human girl already did.

A puff of smoke replaced the shelf. Yashiro fell on the ground in shock, Hatsume kneeled to her level and helped her up.

"Senpai!" Kou yelled running to the two girls. The smoke finally cleared, revealing a door with a butterfly design attached on it. The three looked looked at it in shock.

"This door appeared where the butterfy landed... Do you think it's the 4pm bookstack?"

The three opened the door gently, peeking through it as they observed the other side. They eyes widened at the the site.

It was a room filled with books, somehow similar to the library but the ceiling was decorated with cobwebs. Water coated the floor which had a giant symbol, 'Five' on it. Torches were provided as the lights for the old looking library.

The two human step inside, only for their feet to get wet. Hatsume only floated after them.

"Water... which means..."

"This is another boundary..... A border between this world and the next, We better be careful."

"I n-never been in Number 5's boundary, before..." Hatsume stared around her surroundings in amazement.

"You haven't?" Kou asked interested. This also seems to catch Yashiro's attention. "Now that you mention it, Hanako said about a meeting, why aren't you with him?"

"W-well, Since we represent the seventh mystery together, we both have different roles. L-like how Hanako-kun is incharge of the other mysteries. I, on the other hand, is incharge of the rest of the supernaturals here in school, making sure that they won't harm any humans. If things get too messy, Hanako and I would join forces to end the problem." Hatsume explained and sighed.

"But He wouldn't let me join the meetings for some reasons, He would always say that he would take care of everything for me to stop worrying. But I feel like I'm just being a burden on everything."

Yashiro patted her shoulder. The three decided to look around.

"According to the rumors, as long as we won't read the red ones, we won't be in any danger." Yashiro assured, Skimming through the books. A mokke appeared from one of the shelves, holding an oil lamp.

"Need a light?"

"Oh, T-thank you!" Hatsume beamed patting the mokke on the head, she then gave it a piece of candy and handed the lamp to Yashiro, who gladly took it and began to light it.

"The white books are for living people....and the black books are for the deceased... Atleast from what I heard." Yashiro said to Kou who was right next to her, Hatsume decided to roam around leaving the two alone.

"There's a whole lot of white ones, and only a few black ones, huh?" Kou said looking through the shelves.

'And the red ones... Huh? I don't see any... Well it's better if there aren't but....' Yashiro thought.

"Hey senpai..." Kou whispered. "Hanako and Hatsume's should be black right? But is it okay to read them when, She's here with us?"

The two look towards the (h/c) apparition, who was sitting on one of the tables playing with some of the mokkes, she seems to be having fun.

"As long as she won't find out, it's fine." Yashiro whispered back. "But if she noticed, we better think of an explanation, She's not easy to fool, you know..."

《Hours later...》

The two slumped down, exhausted after searching throught the library. Hatsume seems to have fallen asleep an hour after the two began searching.

'It's no used... We haven't found even a slightest clue...' Yashiro sighed, leaning on a desk.

'I don't know what filling system they use in these bookstacks... But even if I did, What would the title of Hanako-kun and Hatsume-chan's books even be?'

"Senpai.." Kou called out. "There's something on your hair."

"Huh?"

"Here, let me get it for you." Kou got closer towards the white haired female, He then pointed on a black butterfly on the side of her head. "There." Yashiro tried to look at it.

Kou froze again, his face flushed into a bright pink as he stared at her. The way Yashiro turned around to face him made his heart race again. She was beautiful, especially since the butterfly part made her prettier. In other words, Kou was lovestrucked.

The butterfly flew from her hair, Yashiro followed it.

"Senpai!"

"Let's follow it! It might lead us to some clues!" The butterfly lead them to more bookshelfs. It then landed on a white book that was too high to reach.

"It's.... My book?"

Yashiro climbed up using a ladder she found. Kou turned around with a blush, looking at his surroundings than to Yashiro, since if he look up, he might see what's under her school skirt.

"It's really here....So this has the records of my life at this school.." She muttered opening her book.

This made her heart melt at the sudden confession and made a promise to herself that she would try to set the two up for a real confession.

"What did you find,Senpai?!" Kou yelled. Yashiro quickly slammed her book closed, she began to sweat bullets.

"I found out that the rumors are true..." Kou's eyes sparkled.

"If it's not Hanako or Hatsume's book, but if we read the future section, we might learn something about them." He suggested as he began to walk away from Yashiro.

"I can do that too! I'll go find my book!"

"Oh! Remember not to read any red books!" Yashiro reminded.

"...And I'll get back reading." Yashiro opened her book again. "Let's see, the future.... The future..."

Yashiro then saw a red page with the words. 'The Future' on it.

'This might be a marker where the future starts... I'm kinda scared to learn to much...' Yashiro then flipped the pages, not noticing some red ooze falling from the pages. The next page shocked her.

"W-what's this?!"

'Her very first date:
Browsing food carts while holding hands.'

"What does it means?! With who?! How far do we-" Yashiro's excited expression turns sour as she read the next words

'As they part, he tells her. "This isn't gonna work, your legs are too fat," And her heart is broken.'

Yashiro sulked. '.....Let's just look for the parts about Hanako or Hatsume' Her expression changed quickly..

'This is...'

'Month ○, Day △
She learns The male school mystery number 7's real identity....'

All of sudden she heard Kou screamed. 'Was that, Minamoto-kun?.... What?' She then noticed the red substances that was spreading on her white book, she lookes at it in horror.

'Red?! But it was white a moment ago! Did the colors changed while I was reading it? No... Never mind that, I was so close! I'm so close to finding out about Hanako-kun...

Just a little peak...' She then flipped the page.

'His name is....'

"This is.... Hanako's real name...."

Yashiro didn't noticed a figure behind her. A figure made entirely of butterflies, who resembles her, A 'five' kanji symbol was written on the butterflies' figure's face.

The figure slowly went closer towards the unsuspecting girl, ready to eat her.

"Nene-chan!" Yashiro felt herself got pulled from the ladder she was sitting on into the water filled ground. But luckily, someone manage to catch her before she could get wet.

"Minamoto-kun?!" She looked at the person who was holding her, she then turned around to see Hatsume next to Kou, worry filled her (e/c) eyes. She was the one who pulled her down.

"Senpai, this way!" Kou held her hand as he began to pull her up on her feet, Hatsume floating behind them.

"You read a red book didn't you?!" Hatsume accused her.

"I was reading my book! and next thing I knew, it became red!" Yashiro replied back. The butterfly figure of her still chasing after them. "And that thing appeared out of nowhere! And it look like me too!"

"Anyways, let's get out of here!"

The three reached for the door only to feel it locked.

"It won't open!"

"What do we do?!"

The butterfly figure was already towering behind them.

"Damn it! if you want a piece of me, come and get it!" Kou took out his spirit staff and began to power an attack.

But the lightning suddenly poofed out. Kou stared at it in disbelief, Yashiro looked embarrased and Hatsume facepalmed. Even the figure looked at it questioning.

"I forgot!That stupid Hanako!" Kou cursed. In a flash, the said ghost appeared infront of them, upside down.

"You called?" He asked grinning. "Oh Hatsu-chan, I've been looking all over for you."

"Now isn't the time, Hanako look!"

Hanako quickly transformed, and faced the butterfly figure of Yashiro.

He swiftly dodge it's attack and cutted it's head off with his signature knife, dissolving it. The butterflies then flew away. Hanako then floated down and detransform.

"Hey there, kids!" He greeted afterwards. The three approached him

"Hanako-kun! You came for us!" Yashiro cheered. Hanako stared at them from a far.

Just then appeared he between the three, he then pushed Kou away from Hatsume. Turns out, Kou was too close to Hatsume much to his liking.

"What?" Kou asked annoyed. Hanako only smirked and hugged Hatsume closely towards him. "Nothing~"

Hatsume blushed, she then kicked Hanako off of her into some piles of books.

"Ahh...What have you done?!" The four turned to see Kou's teacher from earlier. Hatsume perked up, recognising the person quickly. Her eyes screams happiness.

"Sensei?!" The two human exclaimed, suprised. Then looked at him in horror.

A butterfly figure of Kou was behind of the teacher, who was seems occupied on picking the fallen books back to their respective shelves.

"Sensei, behind you!"

A spider like hand appeared at their sensei's back, slamming the figure into the ground dissolving it.

"And here I am trying to keep my mouth shut... And you two just won't stop yapping. It's annoying!" Yashiro and Kou's eyes widened, their sensei's tone changed into a monotone one. "This is why I hate kids..." He then picked the two humans up with hid spider hands.

"These books had turned red. You read the entries of the future, didn't you? Entitled brats?" Their sensei accused. He then noticed a butterfly. He grabbed and ate it infront of the two humans.

"How are you planning to make this up, for me?"

The two looked at him, terrified.

Just then, he felt someone poking his back, turning around he then saw the two ghost smiling innocently, well Hatsume is.

"N-no, bullying. Y-your a teacher after all.." Hatsume reminded. The man sighed.

"I know, I know o Honorable Lord and Lady, Number 7..." He then dropped the two humans down. "I was just kidding..."

"I won't lay a hand on the boss' guests." The two rubbed their injured bottoms.

"Hanako-kun....Hatsume-chan... What's he..." Yashiro trailed off.

"Oh You haven't introduced?

School Mystery Number 5: "The 4pm bookstacks..

He's the curator, Tsuchigomori....

The four watched the white and black haired man eats another black butterfly. They were disguised.

"So you only eat butterflies, Tsuchigomori?" Hanako asked, who was the only person not affected by the sight.

"No I eat all kinds of things..." Tsuchigomori started. "Like Human children, for example." Hanako, Kou and Yashiro yelled in horror.

"Stay away from us!"

Hatsume deadpanned as she watched the three run away from the tall man, who was walking calmly after them.

"Come back..." He said in a bored tone. Hatsume sighed.

"I g-get it that their s-scared of him now... B-but why did Hanako-kun run a-away with them? He's isn't hu-human anymore, He's a ghost." She shooked her head in disbelief. "S-sometimes he f-forgets, he's s-superior than Tsuchigori-san....What an idiot...."
