A whole week passed after that incident. In these days, Sidharth and Sana didn't go out anywhere because of his wound and Sana was taking proper care of him. She was giving him medicine time to time and helping him in every small and big works.

One day Sana was in Sidharth's room and cutting off his bandage.

"Ho gaya?" Sidharth said looking at another side as he was scared to see her cut the bandage.

"Tum itna hiloge toh kaise hoga? Thoda shant baitho na." Sana said strictly.

"Woh darr lag raha hai..."

"Main sirf bandage nikal rahi hoon. Iss mein darne wali kaunsi baat hai?"

"Haan lekin kisi doctor ko hi bula lete..."

"Meri Mummy nurse thi. I know yeh sab kaise karte hai. Tum bas thoda bharosa rakho aur cooperate karo."

Sidharth stopped moving after hearing the word "bharosa rakho". He slowly looked at her and soon became lost in her. Soon Sana cut off his bandage.

"Done." Sana said happily.

But Sidharth didn't react and kept looking at her. Sana noticed it and became little bit confused.

"Bandage nikal gaya." She said loudly.

Sidharth came back to his senses.

"Huh? Nikal gaya? Chalo accha hai. Ab toh hum bahar jaa sakte hai?" Sidharth asked excitedly.

"Arrey maine toh bas bandage nikala tha, tumhare toh paankh bhi nikal aaye hai. Hum kahi nahi jaa rahe hai." Sana said while putting the bandage in the dustbin.

"Lekin kyu? Hum pura din hotel pe baithe rehne ke liye thodi Paris aaye the? Hum toh Paris aaye the tumhari wishes pure karne ke liye. Aur tumhari scuba diving wali wish abhi bhi puri karni baki hai."

Sana took an ointment and started applying it on Sidharth's wound.

"Your health is more important than my wishes. Aur abhi abhi tumhara bandage nikla hai, you need more rest. Rahi baat wishes pure karne ki toh humare paas abhi bohut time hai. Main apna suicide ka plan thoda aur postponed kar dungi." Sana said.

Sidharth smiled sadly and said, "Time nahi hai Sana. Bilkool time nahi hai. Bohut zaldi hai mujhe."

Sana's face grew serious. She didn't understand what Sidharth meant by this.

"Time nahi hai matlab?" She asked.

Suddenly Sidharth's expression changed.

"Mera matlab hai ki zald se zald tumhare wishes pure kar doon. Uske baad main bhi free aur tum bhi.....free." Sidharth said and pointed upwards.

"Matlab mujhe jhelte jhelte thak chuke ho? Isliye free hona chahte ho?" Sana asked in a serious tone.

"Bohut zyada thak chuka hoon yaar." Sidharth said in a funny way.

"Toh phir karo jo karna hai." Sana said and left his room angrily.

Sidharth smiled seeing her anger.

Next Day...

Sidharth and Sana went to Corsica island for scuba diving. It is a mountainous Mediterranean island, presents a mix of stylish coastal towns, dense forest and craggy peaks. As soon as they reached there, Sana's eyes became wide seeing a side so beautiful and pleasant.

Soon Sana became busy in exploring the island and photography. Of course Sidharth was her one and only photographer. She almost forgot her main reason of coming there.

"Sidharth! Yaaha iss rock ke saath ek pic lo." Sana said leaning over a big rock.

Sidharth chuckled seeing her excitement.

He clicked her pic and said, "Yaar bas karo. Aur kitni photos kheechwaogi?"

"Ek aur please." Sana insisted.

"Tum sayad bhul rahi ho hum kis liye yaaha aaye hai. Scuba Diving nahi karni?"

Sana's expression changed immediately. She became nervous.

"I'm not sure Sidharth." She said.

Sidharth came near her and asked, "Why? It was your wish, right?"

"Yeah it was. Lekin tumhe toh paata hai mujhe paani se darr lagta hai."

"Tumne kaha tha tum apne fear ko overcome karna chahti ho."

"Kehne mein aur karne mein fark hota hai Sidharth. Yeh wish toh maine maang li thi lekin ab jab yeh puri hone jaa rahi hai toh darr lag raha hai. Ajeeb ajeeb khayal aa rahe hai. I'm being nervous."

Sidharth cupped her face and said, "Why are thinking like this? Just think how fortunate you are! Iss duniya mein wishes toh sab hi ke hote hai lekin unhe pura sirf kuch hi log kar paate hai. Aur aaj tumhare life ki ek aur badi wish puri hone jaa rahi hai. You are just few steps away from your wish. Iss waqt agar tum himmat haar gayi na toh Maa kasam marne ke baad bhi regret karogi."

Sana thought for a while and looked at the sea. Then she again looked at Sidharth with a scared face. Sidharth understood everything by watching her expression.

"Abhi bhi darr lag raha hai?" Sidharth asked to which Sana nodded making a sad pout.

"Accha abhi ke liye yeh sab bhul jaao. Socho jab tumhare mann mein pehli baar scuba diving karne ki khwaish jagi. Tab tumhe kaisa feel ho raha tha? Kya tab bhi tum dari thi? Yaa phir yeh socha tha ki chahe jo ho jaaye ek baar toh mujhe yeh karna hai."

This time Sana closed her eyes and started thinking deeply.

Flashback...

Two kids were playing in a room. They were just 7 years old and playing with teddy bears.

"Sana, tera paas woh bada wala teddy bear tha na, woh kaha gaya?" The little boy asked.

"Kaunsa wala Ajay?" Little Sana asked.

"Arrey woh brown wala." Little Ajay replied.

Sana remembered and said, "Woh toh Mummy Papa ke room mein hai."

"Accha? Jaa le kar aa." Ajay ordered.

"Har waqt main hi kyu kaam karu? Tujhe chahiye toh tu leke aa na."

"Ghar kiska hai?"

"Mera."

"Toh kaam kaun karega?"

Sana thought for a while and replied making a sad pout, "Main."

Ajay smirked and said, "Toh phir zaldi jaa. Time waste mat kar."

"Thik hai jaa rahi hoon. Lekin jab tere ghar khelne aaungi na toh tujhe saara kaam karna hoga."

"Thik hai woh baad mein dekhenge. Abhi jaa."

Sana came out of her room. She was going to her parents' room, suddenly her eyes fell on the TV. She saw some people doing scuba diving and became surprised. Her tiny brain couldn't understand how people were breathing in deep water.

She sat on her father's lap who was watching TV sitting on a sofa, and asked, "Papa, woh log paani ke andar kya kar rahe hai?"

Her father smiled and said, "Isse scuba diving kehte hai puttar. Iss se hum paani ke andar ke nazare dekh sakte hai."

"Haaye sacchi? Lekin paani ke andar toh woh.... oxygen nahi hota na. Phir yeh saans kaise le rahe hai?"

"Unhone special equipments pehne hue hai na isliye."

"Hain???"

Sana asked scratching her hair with two fingers.

Her father laughed and said, "Tu abhi nahi samjhegi. Itna jaan le ki inke paas koi aisi chiz hoti hai jis se yeh log kuch der ke liye machli ban jaate hai."

Sana became excited.

"Machli ban jaate hai. Phir toh maine bhi karni hai scuba diving aur paani ke andar ka nazara dekhna hai. Aap mujhe karwaoge na?"

"Zaroor karwaenge. Aur dekhna tu bhi bilkool unki tarah machli ban jaayegi."

"Machli nahi Papa. Maine toh mermaid ban na hai." Sana said to which her father smiled and pinched her nose.

Suddenly Ajay came there and started laughing.

"Badi aayi! Paani se darti hai aur mermaid ban ne chali hai." He said while laughing.

Sana got angry.

"Papa dekh rahe ho kaise mera mazak udaa raha hai? Ab toh main zaroor karungi scuba diving." She said confidently.

"Nahi kar paayegi kyu ki tu paani se darti hai. Tu darpok hai."

"Main darpok nahi hoon. Aur ekdin main yeh prove kar dungi. Challenge raha mera."

"Main bhi challenge karta hoon. Yeh scuba diving tere bas ki baat nahi hain"

Sana didn't say anything and kept looking at him angrily.

Flashback ends...

Sana opened her eyes and smiled confidently.

"Main yeh karungi Sidharth." She said to which Sidharth also smiled.

Soon they changed into their diving suits.

There were other people as well. The divers were making them understand everything about scuba diving.

Meanwhile Sana looked at Sidharth and said, "Promise karo mera haath nahi chhoroge."

"Jab tak tumhara fear nahi chala jaata tab tak bilkool bhi nahi. Promise." Sidharth said looking at her eyes.

They both hold each others' hands tightly.

Sana took a deep breath.

They started entering the sea.

tera-mera, donon ka dil besabar
besabar, besabar
shaam-o-sahar donon ka dil bekhabar (haan )

They entered deep inside the sea. Sana's eyes were closed. She was afraid, she was nervous. She was trying hard to gather courage.

Sidharth noticed it and hold her hand more tightly to give her assurance that he was there.

lahar-lahar donon ka dil besafar

Sana slowly opened her eyes and saw the view.

A beautiful smile formed on Sana's face. She felt that another world opened in front of her eyes which is totally detached from the outer world.  A world which has its own mysteries, its own stories.

And overcoming all the fear, Sana finally stepped into the world. She finally became a mermaid.

Sidharth looked at her expression and left her hand.

They now started enjoying their scuba diving.

Sana was swiming in the deep water just like a mermaid and Sidharth was adoring her and taking pictures of her.

Sidharth and Sana slowly swam towards each other and they took a selfie together.

Sana's POV...

Is this a dream? If yes then I really don't want to wake up. Mere wishes ek ke baad ek aise pure honge, I never expected it. Jab Sidharth ne pehli baar mujhe uske saath chalne ke liye kaha tha, I couldn't trust him. Yakeen nahi hua tha ki mere wishes sach mein pure ho payenge aur unhe pure karne ke liye Sidharth itna kuch karega. Aaj kaal ke zamane mein jaha logo ke paas time hi nahi hota dusro ke liye waha Sidharth ne apna saara time mere naam kar diya hai. Woh meri khushi mein khush ho raha hai. Now I'm sure. Yaa toh woh bohut bada bewakoof hai yaa phir mental asylum se bhaga hua pagal hai. Lekin jo bhi hai cute hai.
