Yumi's POV:

the weatherman predicted it,but I never expected it to come so soon.
as I lay down in bed I can't help but glance over at the window that is covered in white.
I can barely see outside.
I've been in bed all day,well that's a lie.
I've been in bed for almost a week,I haven't been feeling well and Mingyu swears it's a cold so he's been nursing me slowly back to health.
I can barely keep my food up so I eat only soup and maybe a slice of pizza when he buys it.
I feel bad for getting sick like this,especially since he's wrapped up in school trying to finish his final bar exam so he can graduate finally.
I point at the window like a little child seeing candy.
"Babe look-" I croak out and he glances over at the window.
He pushes the curtains to the sides.
"Better?" He asks me.
I nod since the natural light hits the window making the room feel cozy.
"It's really snowing hard out there" he adds.
"I wish I was playing in it."  I pout.
"Baby.."
"Don't lecture me...I know I know" I say already knowing his answer.
Me being stubborn,I get out of bed and nearly fall down to the floor.
Luckily Mingyu's strong & warm arms catch me before I do.
He looks like he's about to scold me for getting up when he clearly told me to stay in bed since I wasn't feeling well,that was until he looks at my eyes and sees tears threatening to leave them.
"Come here" he says and sits me down at the window seat.
He holds my hand gently and traces circles on it.
He looks at me lovingly as I gasp when I see little flurries blow by us through the window.
"It is snowing hard!" I say giggling.
"Baby...I'm really worried about you,it's been 5 days and you still haven't gotten better" he says his voice laced with concern.
"I'm fine babe,maybe I need a break that's all" I say.
"Yeah your breaks are usually 2-3 days..." he says and I nod silently.
I really don't know what's wrong with me.
My phone buzzes from afar and I look up at him with puppy eyes.
He smiles gently at me.
"I'm already going don't worry" he says walking over and grabbing my phone.
He hands me my phone & I grab it.
"Hello?" I say
"Hi honey!" My mom says cheerfully on the other end.
"Hi mom" I say smiling big hearing her voice.
"Me,your dad,your uncles and aunts are all going to be in Upstate New York for Christmas and wanted to know if you both wanted to come join us! It is Christmas after all and I miss my favorite girl and boy!" She says before giggling at the end.
"Of course mom,we'll be there." I say before I gag a little as if I'm about to vomit.
I start feeling the urge to vomit and it alarms Mingyu.
He grabs me and drags me to the bathroom.
He holds my hair back and I vomit in the sink.
I wash my mouth out and go back to my phone call.
He sits me at the edge of my bed and I grab my head as I feel slightly dizzy as well.
"Honey WHAT HAPPENED?" she asks me worriedly.
Great now I have two worry warts
*sarcastic voice*
Her & Mingyu.
"N-nothing-" I say before she cuts me off.
"Did you vomit?" She asks me.
Knowing I couldn't lie to my mom even if I wanted to,mainly because she reads me out before I can say anything.
"Yes I did." I say sighing.
"Omg what's wrong?" She asks me.
"I don't know...I've been like this for 5 days" I say.
"Have you down a pregnancy test?" She asks me.
"Excuse me what?" I say.
"A pregnancy test." She says repeating the words.
"Why are you suddenly asking me this?" I ask her.
"It's a normal thing to do,especially since you two are active-"
"OMG MOM!" I say mortified by the words leaving her mouth.
"You forgot I was once you,a young woman. I got pregnant at 19,Umi I know a lot about these kind of things" she says.
"Still...mom. it's awkward! talking about my sexual life with you" I say.
"Oh please we talk about sex all the time especially yours..is it because Mingyu's right there?" She asks me.
"Mmhm" I mumble since he's now on the phone talking to his dad who called him probably to ask him the same question my mom asked me.
"Walk away for second" she says
"I can't..." I whisper and she sighs.
"Go to the nearest pharmacy and buy a pregnancy test I beg of you!" She says
"you sound like a pregnant woman.." she adds
"Mom! We can't have that happening with Mingyu trying to finish school and me..well I've been secretly looking for places that are holding auditions" I say
"You didn't tell Mingyu you wanted to act?" She asks me.
"Mom,when we reconnected we barely spoke about our dreams and stuff we have time for all that..but a baby will stop all our plans." I say.
"Listen I'm not here to tell you what to do,I will say you didn't stop my dreams nor did you stop your dad's" she says.
"Dad was already famous tho mom" I say and she curses in Korean on the other end.
I laugh.
"Just because he is apart of one of the biggest groups in the world doesn't mean I'm worthless okay?" She says.
"I never said that mom" I say sighing.
"Good making sure." She says and I roll my eyes playfully.
"I swear if you're rolling your eyes-"
"What the hell do you have eyes watching me through the phone?" I ask her and she laughs.
"Fine I'll go to the pharmacy but I gotta wait for this snow to calm down" I say.
"Ok honey I love you both we'll talk later okay? Your dad is home and everytime he comes home from work we-"
"OK MOM BYE!" I say getting grossed out at the idea of them having sex.
She laughs before we hang up together at the same time.
Mingyu looks at me and I motion him over.
He comes and sits at the edge of the bed with me.
"I love you,can we nap? I feel tired" I say.
"I love you too baby,of course!" He says and puts extra pillows behind me.
he covers us both in the sheets and I crawl into his arms.
"It's too cold" I say trembling and he kisses the top of my head before wrapping his arms around me.
I feel so warm & I feel so safe.
In his arms.....

I wanna thank you guys for all the love & support on this series!
We're now on Book 4 and it's about Yumi's adult life as she struggles with school,a bubbling acting career and her somewhat non-existent love life.
In this chapter,we see Yumi has mysteriously fallen ill and Mingyu is her nurse for the day.
She and Mingyu are soft for each other as Mingyu worries constantly about her well being throughout the chapter meanwhile she worried about their future as a whole.
Especially with a pregnancy scare in the air.
