Yumi's POV:
I've been here sitting down watching episodes of a new K-drama that recently came out,it has Uncle V in it and I'm surprised he's still good at acting.
I guess once a actor,always one.
I have leftover tea I made this morning being heated up in the microwave after it went cold.
It's freezing cold in my apartment.
Despite protests from the other tenants my heat hasn't been working well.
I'm here sitting in a thick oversized knitted sweatshirt and a pair of stretchy black leggings paired with the most adorable & the most warmest socks known to man.
They are HELLO KITTY themed of course.
I get up for a second to walk over to the microwave and sure enough my tea is ready.
I grab it carefully and walk back to the couch.
I place my feet up on it when a knock catches me off guard and I nearly spill the boiling hot tea all over myself but I luckily stop the mug from tilting.
Not even a drop on me as I place it on my glass table and rush over to the door.
It's almost 8pm & I don't have any packages coming tonight.
I probably shouldn't open-
"Babe it's me!!" I hear from the door and my face turns red.
I twist the doorknob open and the crisp December air hits my face suddenly.
My beloved boyfriend notices and shoves himself inside quickly before shutting the door.
"What are you doing over cutie?" I ask him in a flirty tone while toying with his scarf.
"For obvious reasons" he says smirking and leans in closer to me.
"Like what silly?" I ask him.
"I can't be with my own girlfriend on her big day?" He asks me faking hurt.
Confusion hits me but I stay quiet when he caught my reaction.
"It's your birthday..." he whispers in my ear.
Of fucking course.
I would forget the one important day that happened to be today,I mean how could I have forgotten today?
My parents called me and everything.
My dad's working on a show with my uncles so my mom's been with him this whole time so they couldn't come over today.
I mean it wasn't like the sound of Melody & Malakai screaming the words "happy birthday" so loudly could've made me forgot what day it was today right?
I mean the reminders were there all day today,I've been quiet all day however despite it all.
I'm acting like it's just another day,because that's what it feels like.
Like a regular day.
Only the cold air outside and the flurries that come occasionally throughout the day keep me going today.
"You really forgot didn't you?" He asks me and I shrug.
"I don't know I've just haven't felt much today,like I don't see how big of a deal today is.." I say.
"It's a very big deal! you were born today and without you being born well.. I'll be alone then" he says and I shake my head smiling.
"Stop silly,you would've had someone else...You're not a bad catch" I say running my hands through his thick wavy dark hair.
"Neither are you,my love" he says and I stare at his eyes for a little bit.
His eyes are like a sea of delicious chocolate.
Pure melted milk chocolate running through them and when the light hits them it reveals caramel colored swirls inside.
All of this makes my stomach fill with excitement.
I grab his hand and pull him to my room.
"Already? Shouldn't we continue this show?" He asks me pointing over at the tv.
I grab the remote and shut it off.
I push him into my room.
I close the door behind us and he sits at the edge of my bed.
I climb on top of him and wrap my arms around his neck.
"Babe-"
I start kissing his neck and he stops me.
"What's wrong baby?" I ask him and he looks at me.
"It's your birthday shouldn't I be doing all this?" He asks me smirking and I sigh.
I roll off of him and lay down.
He climbs on top of me and starts kissing me.
The kiss turns heated when my phone decides to start ringing nonstop.
I groan out of annoyance.
"Not the kind of sound I wanna hear in this room" he says chuckling and I flip him off playfully.
"Yes?" I answer the phone as he continues to leave kisses down my arms and legs.
"Mel? What's up?" I say
"Hey bestie it's your birthday!!"  She says
"Yes I know it's my birthday today." I say.
Mingyu glances up at me and smirks.
Like as if he's saying "mmhm sure you did" silently.
"Well there's a rooftop party happening over here in Greenwich and wanted to see if you could come swing by birthday girl" she says excitedly.
He kisses further down my legs, I gasp loudly and Melody hears it.
I turn red when I hear her scream "are you and Mingi...fucking??? EWWWWW!" She says loudly.
We both laugh as he throws himself onto my body.
His heavy weight over mines and he shoves his head in my neck blushing like a innocent child.
Meanwhile I'm as red as a tomato.
I'm laughing hard of course while she throws a mini tantrum.
"Ok imma let y'all do..that and I'll call you later okay?" She says with a bit of attitude laced in her voice.
"Excuse me ma'am I'm a grown woman and if I wanna-"
She hangs up before I could finish.
"How rude" I huff and Mingyu chuckles with his head still in my neck.
"This is all your fault sir!" I say raising my finger at him.
"You didn't have to make a sound tho.." he says smirking looking up at me.
"How couldn't I? You kissed the sensitive part of my thigh!! That's cruel!" I whine and hide my face in embarrassment.
"None of that." He says pushing my hands away from my face.
"Now can we continue or has the mood been ruined?" He asks me.
"Of course silly but first do you have a rubber?" I ask him and he raises his eyebrow at me.
"Duhh!" He says pulling out a condom from his pocket.
"You came prepared!!" I say smirking and wrapping my arms around his neck.
I lock my lips with his and I unintentionally grind myself onto him.
"Oops I'm sorry-"
"It's ok..it's hot" he says before grabbing my face and we lock lips again.
I fumble with his belt and grow frustrated.
"Why are belts so fucking hard to get off?" I mumble and Mingyu's bat sense of hearing hears me struggling.
He leans down and unbuckles himself for me.
"I wanted to do it.." I pout and he smiles gently.
"Next time.." he says softly and runs his fingers through my hair.
I lift my oversized shirt off of my body and my skin grows goosebumps as my warm skin hits the cold air.
The heat doesn't always kick in quickly in my room or circulate well.
He stares in awe as I lay back down.
His fingers trace my lingerie clad figure and stop at my panties.
"May I?" He asks me with a smug tone.
"Do you even have to ask at this point?" I say.
"Well consent is key princess and I gotta hear the words come out of your mouth before I go any further" he says and I nod.
"No. words." He repeats but with a slight authoritative tone to it.
"Yes you may Mingi" I say biting my lips as I stare at him.
He peels my panties off carefully and stares like a starved animal at me.
He removes my bra quickly and soon his boxers are long gone.
Nothing but breathy moans and loud groans of each other's names fill the room.
Our bodies stuck like glue to each other as my legs wrap around his waist and he kisses every corner of my body leaving not one inch of it untouched.
We reach the end and he nearly falls on top of me but I smile at him.
"Happy?" He asks me.
"Of course aren't you?" I ask him.
"Always." He says and kisses my lips once more before rolling off of me.
"Imma make us some after sex food and maybe round two?" He says winking.
"Mmm...imma pass on that offer because we have a party to attend sir,if you're nice you'll get that round two or maybe even three tonight when we get back" I say.
"Rawr I love it" he says and jumps back into the bed.
He smothers me with kisses and I laugh.
"Take a shower sir you're sweaty" I say
"So are you how about we both shower...saves water" he says wiggling his eyebrows.
"Nope! get inside I know your intentions" I say and push him into the bathroom.
He grabs me by the waist and places me onto the counter.
"God I love you" he says before kissing me again.
"Ok now shower!" I say hitting his chest and he smiles.
"Fine but you're watching me" he says and I sigh rolling my eyes playfully.
"Ok whatever big baby" I say sitting down.

[ 9:30pm ]
we arrive at the party and Melody greets me with a big wide hug.
Judging by the scent I'm getting from her,she's tipsy already.
"Umi,Kyle said he loves me and wants to get serious" she says.
"I mean y'all were friends with benefits you were halfway there just without the emotional part there" I say and she smiles.
"He's so gentle with me Umi,nothing how he is in the bedroom at all" she says winking at me.
"Ok tmi Mel let's get you a seat" I say as I notice her wobble a little.
We all three sit down and Kyle walks over with a tray of shots for us.
"Try some,a buddy of mines in business school made a line of brandy I'm sure y'all will like it" he says.
"See he says y'all like a country boy" she says giggling in my ear.
It's no question Kyle is a country boy,his whole family is from Nashville,Tennessee.
They moved to New York when he was 12 years old.
However no matter what he has that southern twang to his voice and his family own a small private farm all the way in upstate New York.
I don't wanna be rude and decline my first ever drink of the night so I silently nod.
I reach over to grab the glass and he leans closer so I don't have to move too much.
"Sure Ky I'll try it" I say
"It's your birthday darling drink up!" He says and drinks a shot of the said drink like nothing.
I blink at him staring in awe at how he can drink without cringing.
I sigh and I tilt my head back to drink some of the alcohol.
Everything goes smoothly until the warm alcohol hits my throat and instantly I feel a sting in my throat.
I gag and gasp a little.
Choking out muffled words at this point.
Mingyu rushes over with a glass of soda to chase the liquor and I drink it slowly.
"Sorry-" I manage to say as they all stare at me.
They must be worried to death after seeing that.
My voice is raspy and Mingyu wraps his arm around me.
"You okay? You wanna go home yet?" He asks me.
"I just got here babe let's relax for a bit please?" I whine.
"Fine birthday girl" he says and kisses the top of my head.
I pout but it grows into smirk as I know I just won this discussion.
After a brief moment of soda drinking,I go straight into drinking Piña Colada's that Melody orders over to the table alongside some other drinks.
This is all happening while at the corner of my eye I see Mingyu hasn't touched a ounce of his drink.
My poor bodyguard of a boyfriend.
"Babeee have some fun!!" I say as I nearly trip and almost fall on top of him.
"I can't-" he says watching me intensely.
"Why?" I ask messing with the collar of his dressy shirt.
"Because you're drunk and I'm worried about you being this drunk on your first night drinking" he says.
"Oh stop that! I'm a grown woman! I can drink as much as I want Mingi!" I nearly yell out.
Yup,totally drunk.
I must be blasted or something judging by how I climb on top of the bar table and start dancing.
The entire bar stares at me and cheers me on.
My dress hitches up my leg and Mingyu notices how the bartender keeps staring at my ass.
He pulls me down from the table and carries me over his shoulder.
"Mingyu!  Kim Mingyu put me down this instant!" I say while he mumbles stuff under his breath.
He sounds frustrated while Melody screams for him to come back with me.
Kyle drags her back inside the bar and soon we reach the car.
Now in the car, he sits me down gently yet firmly in the passenger seat.
With a "don't move a muscle" kind of feeling but except he hasn't opened his mouth which worries me a little but I'm so drunk at the moment.
That I barely think much over it.
I start laughing uncontrollably when I see a person walk their dog pass the car.
"Who the fuck walks their dog at this hour?" I say.
"Drink." He says passing me a cold water bottle he just pulled out from the back of the car.
"Fine,Daddy. I forgot you're my father too" I say rolling my eyes and drinking some of the cold water.
The water is so cold I gag and I stick my head out of the window when I start feeling the urge to vomit.
Luckily nothing comes out instead a headache starts forming and I groan in my seat as he drives silently.
"Mingi..I'm sorry for how I behaved over there-"
"It was your birthday babe don't apologize it just worries me that's all" he says.
"Why?" I ask him.
He stops the car suddenly.
"Do I have to have a reason to worry about someone I clearly care for a lot? Like I worry so fucking much about you everyday!" He says.
"I'm sorry-"
"I already lost someone to alcohol..I don't wanna lose another." He says tearing up as he says it.
"What are you talking about now?" I ask now sobering up as I drink more of the water.
"My birth dad,he left my dad to live in Singapore..while over there he became a drunk & a gambler..my mom wanted me to meet him one day so recently last year I was about to book a flight when I found out he was sick.  He refused to see me despite how much I wanted to see him..he died from alcohol they said." He says now with a tear rolling down his cheek.
I unbuckle my seatbelt and climb over to him.
I wipe his tears away with my hands.
"Babe stop-"
"No! You comfort me let me comfort you!" I say as I wrap my small arms around him.
He giggles slightly as he knows how vastly different our bodies are next to each other.
My small stature & curvy body.
VS
his toned body & his height.
"I didn't know you were adopted Mingi.." I say softly.
"Yeah I was,luckily my mom met Joon and he raised me to this day" He says.
"Mingi..." I say.
"Yes?"
"Let's not fight okay? I hate when we do,it hurts" I say and he nods.
"I'm sorry baby for getting so angry at you,I just didn't like that-"
"The guy was checking me out at the bar" I say it before he does.
He raises his eyebrow at me.
"So you did know? Teasing me are you?" He says.
"Wanting me to get all angry and do unspeakable things to you possibly...at the house of course" he says.
"Why not here?" I ask him as I press the side button of the driver's seat.
The seat reclines back and he sighs.
"No baby,not here!! Someone will see us!" He says as I kiss down his neck.
"Fine..you win. Always the responsible one" I roll my eyes playfully.
"Listen relax them eyes or else I'll have you rolling them tonight" he says.
"Make me." I say biting my lip as I stare at him.
"You're so doomed tonight" he says as he drives erratically as he tries to get us back to my apartment.
"Can't wait" I say winking at him while he shakes his head quietly.
Tonight was wild but it's about to get even wilder...

I wanna thank you guys for all the love & support on this series!
We're now on Book 4 and it's about Yumi's adult life as she struggles with school,a bubbling acting career and her somewhat non-existent love life.
In this chapter,we see that it's Yumi's 21st birthday so Melody and Kyle want to celebrate by taking her to have her first drink,or two or three at their local bar.
She and Mingyu bring the steam as they can't seem to keep their hands off of each other recently.
Warning a steamy scene,or two is in this book.
I've returned from the dead after a break for a while,it was for mental health purposes!
