Yumi's POV:
The weather outside is perfect.
Light cool breezes flow into our apartment as we leave the window open to air it out.
It's almost spring but the weather is hanging onto winter  for as long as it can possibly can.
So we had been relaxing in the living room with the heater on,that was until it got too hot and we realized it was comfortable outside and we didn't need one in the first place.
More money for our energy bill,great....
*sarcastic voice*
Now we're in the bedroom...
I sit at the edge of the bed combing through Mingyu's hair as he sprays some cologne on.
His favorite cologne to be exact,Versace Eros.
Nothing beats the intoxicating scent of that cologne.
I nearly let out a moan when I inhale the delicious scent,however my attempt to muffle the sound is caught on by my lover beneath me.
"Someone likes my cologne huh?" He teases while he smirks at me.
"You already know I LOVE that cologne you tease" I say rolling my eyes playfully and tug on a strand of hair on purpose.
He gasps and looks up at me.
"How dare you?" He says fake pouting.
"Doesn't feel nice does it? Revenge feels good" I say smirking and he turns around quickly.
He pins me on the bed and I can literally feel his breath on me.
"Play nice with me Umi,I'm trying to control myself today because I have a meeting with my professor" he says clearly putting me in my place.
However I'm in the mood to poke "the bear" when it comes to him,he's leaving me for a meeting with his professor.
Those meetings usually end up leading into late hours of them still somehow talking and me stuck alone at home waiting.
He promised to cancel any meetings these first two weeks of our marriage so we could spend our time of honeymoon exploring upstate New York.
However his professor said this meeting was urgent and he couldn't miss it.
Mingyu passed his finals with flying colors.
He just finished his Bar Exam and has no idea if he passed or not yet.
With his graduation in a month from now he's like a child on sugar.
He can't stay still and is mostly with his professor.
So I don't understand the urgency with these meetings however I don't question it since he's so eager to go and usually texts me in between the meeting secretly.
However today,today is the worse day for me to run off with his professor and fellow classmates.
My cravings have been off the roof and I'm extra emotional today so with my hormones out of whack today.
I didn't expect him to actually agree to meet up with them.
"Oh wait...I think I know why my baby's all pouty" he says smirking.
"Ugh I'm not being pouty" I fuss and he laughs.
"Whatever,it's because I have to meet with Mr. Ramos isn't it?" he says and I whine.
"Of course that's the reason-" I start and he cuts me off with a kiss on my lips.
"I'll be home before you know it,I promise" he says.
"Your promises aren't to be trusted" I say as I roll on my side.
My growing belly is making it harder to stay on my back for too long.
"Baby you know these meetings are important-"
"For what reason exactly again?" I ask.
"He's helping me with the final law classes" he says.
"That's why you stay with him until 1-2am?" I ask and cover myself in the sheets.
"Baby-"
"Go! Since he matters more than me!" I say loudly.
Ouch. That stung.
I didn't mean to blurt that out but I was so upset in the moment,it just came out without me knowing until it exited out my mouth.
I knew it made him angry because he walked out of the door and nearly slammed it.
I start crying under the sheets and eventually I tire myself out from crying so much that I fall asleep.
- meanwhile -
Mingyu's POV:
I had to leave,I wasn't angry at her.
I was angry that the words she said,were starting to become true.
I worry about her while I'm out breaking my head in classes.
She's home all alone pregnant with our child and the news we got a week ago isn't stress relieving either.
We found out she's in a delicate state and she could have the baby at any given moment if she's too stressed out.
Which would make the baby premature.
So she's been a bundle of nerves since and doesn't want me leaving her alone since her anxieties have been bad since the pregnancy started.
But here I am driving to upper Manhattan to meet with my professor to finish my final class with him.
I feel bad...
I should call her.
I grab my phone and I'm about to press dial.
My fingers so close to the button,it's nearly tapping it.
I decide to let her breathe and turn off my phone.
- later that day -
Yumi's POV:
I wake up and my stomach grumbles signaling me it's time for me to eat.
I look down at my phone and open it to find no messages from him.
He must be really mad if he hasn't spoken to me since he left.
I mean who wouldn't be after what I said.
I put the phone down on the bed and I walk slowly over to the kitchen.
I reach up to grab some food from the cabinet when I feel a sharp pain in my abdomen and I collapse on the ground.
I groan in pain and crawl my way to my phone.
I call Mingyu and the line rings for a while until I get no answer.
I dial Melody and she answers after the second ring.
"Hello??" She says and I moan in pain.
"Omg Yumi- what's wrong??" She asks me and I start crying.
"I'm on the floor in pain and your brother isn't answering my calls. I feel dizzy Mel-"
"No no stay with me Umi-"
Everything goes black at that moment...
[after a while]
I open my eyes and find myself in a hospital bed.
Melody quickly gets up from her chair to get a close look at me.
She holds my hand tightly.
Her eyes have tears building up in them.
"Hey...where am I?" I ask her.
"You're at the hospital,you collapsed while on the phone with me and I ran to get you. Kyle drove us-"
I start crying as I remember Mingyu hasn't shown up.
She wipes my tears away and comforts me.
"Is the baby okay?" I ask her and she nods.
"The baby's fine,you got stressed out and you went through Braxton Hicks mixed with a anxiety attack" she says.
"What time is it?" I ask her and she looks at the clock.
"1am on the dot,you missed dinner but I saved it and had the muse keep it warm for you" she says and I smile faintly.
"Hungry?" She asks me and I nod silently.
She twirls a fork in the pasta on the plate she pulls out and moves the fork towards my face.
"I can feed myself Mel-"
"You're not feeling well Umi,let me please?" She says pouting and I cave in.
I move closer and open my mouth.
I greet the delicious savory taste of tomato and pasta into my mouth and nearly gasp in delight.
It's so yummy the food.
"Mingyu's such a asshole for not answering your calls.." she says frowning.
"I wanna eat in peace without thinking about it" I say and she sighs loudly.
She glances over while I'm being hand fed by her and scoffs.
"Speak of the devil" she says looking back at me and I look over her shoulder to see the man I was waiting for.

Mingyu's POV:
[ a few minutes prior ]
I get in the car at 12:40am and mentally curse at myself for not telling Mr. Ramos to stop chatting after what felt like forever.
My studies finished at 9pm but yet we spoke for 3 and a half hours extra about stories from Mr. Ramos's family and mine's.
I feel terrible for leaving Yumi at home for this long by herself.
I open my phone to call her and attempt to make amends from our fight earlier.
I find 5 missed calls and 10 missed calls from Melody.
What the hell happened?
I find a text from Melody.
I open it to receive a ultimatum from her via text.
"Mel❤️: Mingyu! I can't believe I have to reprimand a full grown man but here I am!
I don't care where the fuck you are at!
You think it's okay to just ignore her for hours? She's in the hospital dipshit! She's in pain!
If you don't come around to see her while she's here,don't bother at all. Idc"
I rush my way the hospital and grab a bouquet of flowers for Yumi at the floral shop near the hospital.
I find my way into the hospital and push open the door to see Melody feeding Yumi what appears to be Spaghetti.
Melody must've felt my presence because she turns her head to glance over and glares at me with such a look.
They say she had eyes that could kill?
Hers would have me buried somewhere,nowhere to found afterwards.
"Speak of the devil" she says and rolls her eyes.
She turns around and I see Yumi look over her shoulder.
Instead of the usual smiling,laughing Yumi who was always waiting to grab me and hug me before smothering me with kisses.
I was greeted with a cold look and a small sigh.
She didn't even bother looking me in the eye.
I try to motion Melody out of the room so I could speak alone with Yumi.
"Anything you have to say,you can say it in front of me!" She says and I sigh loudly.
"I screwed up...I'm so sorry Umi,I didn't mean to leave you like that. I should've known better that you're in a very delicate state right now and you need me-"
"need? I NEEDED YOU when I was on the floor and I felt like I was dying!" Yumi says loudly.
I put my head down.
"Mr. Ramos kept me-"
"Mr. Ramos this,Mr. Ramos that. You might as well live with the man since he keeps you so busy!" She says crossing her arms while looking at me.
"Umi...I love you so much,I didn't mean to ignore you! I was busy and ok I did get upset earlier but I got over it...I never meant to make you stressed or cause any stress on you!" I say and try to grab her hand.
She snatches her hand away and I frown.
A nurse taps on the door alerting all 3 of us.
"Only 1 visitor per patient after visiting hours and the visiting hours are up" the nurse says.
"Okay..." I say and I hand Yumi the flowers in my hand.
"I bought these for you,you can accept them or not. Just like me,you can accept my apology or not.
I love you so damn much,it pains me to know I hurt you this bad.
That I hurt you and our baby this bad! I'll go home..." I say and Yumi grabs my wrist.
"No,stay...please" she says and Melody raises a eyebrow at her.
"We'll talk okay?" She says to Melody and Melody grabs her stuff.
She pulls me to the side and smacks my arm repeatedly.
"If I find out you pull another act like this again! I'm hunting you down Mingi! I don't fucking care if I have to drag you by the hair-"
"Aggressive much?" I whine and she rubs my arm.
"Just behave yourself,she loves you more than anyone else I think." She says.
"No,she loves me and you equally I think" I say and she laughs.
"Be with your wife,I was almost mistaken as her wife during dinner earlier" she says giggling and waved goodbye to Yumi.

Yumi's POV:
I watch as Mingyu walks over the chair near the bed and grabs my hands.
"I'm sorry." He says and his voice trembles.
"I'm really,really sorry...I'll never act that way again." He adds and I see tears falling down his cheeks.
I wipe them away and he stops me.
He grabs my hand and kisses it.
"You're the most amazing woman in this world and I nearly lost you today,I don't wanna be a second away from you." He says and I rub his cheeks.
"Stop,I'm fine-"
"No you're not,you're stressed when I'm gone..so I'll work from home for now." He says and my eyes light up.
"Really?" I say a little too excitedly and he chuckles.
"There's my girl." He says and I move a little to the side.
"Can we cuddle?" I ask him and he looks at the small space left for him in the bed.
He shoves himself in the bed with me and covers me with a warm white hospital blanket.
"Tomorrow we'll be home and you'll have all of me to yourself" he says lifting my chin with his finger.
"I love you" I say and he smiles big.
"I love you too,only you" he says in my ear which sends butterflies to my stomach.
He leans in and kisses me softly as I melt in his embrace.
Even when we have moments like this,where we fight and get mad at each other.
There's only one person I wanna cuddle with at the end of the day.
That is Mingyu Kim,my ever so adoring husband....

In this chapter,we see our lovebirds are struggling with Mingyu's final classes separating their quality time from each other and with Yumi's health issues  starting to arise during her pregnancy.
All hell breaks loose when a heater argument leaves her in the hospital and he comes back once again to pick up the broken pieces...
